How on earth did you manage to crack the acrylic? It seems nobody bothered to inform you that one doesn't simply attack a sheet like that with a standard drill bit. You really ought to be using specialized bits designed specifically for plastic or acrylic. To be perfectly honest, I have drilled countless holes 😁 through acrylic, and not once has it resulted in a fracture or a split!

Good grief... while I appreciate the effort and the enthusiasm, you need some practical guidance. Here is my advice: "Stop over-tightening the vent so aggressively, and stick exclusively to plastic-rated drill bits." Furthermore, exercise much more caution and proceed with a sense of deliberation.

I would advise against using block rivets, as they are quite cumbersome to work with. If you do, you run the very real risk of repeating this exact same blunder. 👍😁

Man...

Not sure how you're holding up, but... man, those colds suck. I used to drill through plexiglass using regular old metal bits, just being SUPER careful with it, and then I’d score it with a sharp screwdriver. Zero damage. I'm with Raymond Hernandez14 on this one—skip the rivets, screws are definitely the way to go.

Terry Wilson3 said:I decided to try making my own custom panel (though things usually go sideways when I try DIY projects). I used a grinder to cut out the panel and a piece of acrylic, drilled a hole for a 120mm fan, and then glued the whole thing together with silicone since I didn't have any rivets on hand. Because my measurements were slightly off, the acrylic ended up being too large. Now, I can barely squeeze the panel into place, and once it’s in, I can't get it back out. I tried to peel the acrylic away, but it cracked—specifically right where I cut the fan hole. To make matters worse, I've run out of silicone and don't have a rivet gun, so now I'm stuck waiting until I can pick up some more supplies.
I'll post some photos of the damage a bit later.

I did warn you that working with acrylic isn't exactly the easiest task.☕

Man, I have to admit—it actually looks way better this way, haha!
I'm only 14—so, let's just say I can't really judge which version was superior without causing a total meltdown if I told my folks what I actually thought...
But honestly? The main thing is that it's finally here.

I’ve also got this red 120mm Ventic fan and some neon lights—so, yeah, the whole setup is basically glowing
Anyway, I’m using the Ventic as an intake fan right by the processor—and man, it actually works! My temps used to hover around 42°C, but now they’re sitting at about 30°C while I'm gaming

I'm only 14, so I can't really judge which version was superior without my dad losing his mind over the whole thing.
But hey, the main thing is that it’s actually here now.

Take that over to a local glass shop.
I have a feeling they could whip that up for you for pretty cheap.

Feeling a bit bored lately, I decided to try some PC Modding on my ergo 525 by giving it a brand new "skin."

The top plastic section is quite smooth, which means my fingers tend to slip around when my hands get sweaty during gaming sessions.
I attempted to fix this previously by applying electrical tape, and I have to say, aside from the aesthetic upgrade, 😂 the mouse has actually become much more functional.

I mean, I highly doubt the electrical tape is just going to peel right off after you've been using it for a while.
As far as that sliding issue goes, just grab some double-sided tape and stick the mouse to your palm 😬

Regarding the grip issue, you might want to try some double-sided tape and secure the mouse against your palm 😬

Well, I was just bored, so I decided to play around with it a bit. 😁

I actually considered taping the mouse directly to my hand, but that would have made typing quite difficult. ☕

Please feel free to post your own photos of your PC Modding projects.

👏 👏

How did you manage to paint that silver trim on the case?
Did you strip it off entirely or just cover it up?

Let me know when you have a moment.🙂

Stripped it down and gave it a fresh coat of paint.

I think I might follow suit and try 🙂🙂

How do you typically handle your pricing? Do you charge by the square inch? 😂

I am genuinely curious about your process.

Good grief... what on earth is happening to this forum?
People are starting threads about absolute nonsense, selling $67 gift cards for $50, peddling discs, or trying to hawk their airbrushing work... I have to ask, where exactly is this all heading?

I stumbled upon this decent little shop that makes all those car customizations—you know, decals, wraps, and whatever else comes to mind... if only I could fix their ridiculous schedule, since they only put in four hours of work every third day.😁....

@ steelsailor3

Is it possible to remove the front bezel on that MS case?
I don't seem to see any visible screws holding it in place.. 🤔

One more thing, though.
On the front right side, where the mic, speaker, and USB ports are located, there appears to be a dedicated slot for a Firewire Bracket.
In my unit, that area is just empty 🤷
My motherboard has a Firewire port and I was hoping to hook everything up, but I can't find a way to connect it.
