A few wonderful highlights from my life lately

1. Taking the subway for what feels like an eternity
2. Still missing four essential graduation forms
3. Spending two hours at the university just to find out some idiot TA lost my entire committee file—the very thing I need to graduate
4. It’s a total loop: the professor sends me to the Dean's office, the Dean sends me to the registrar, I tell them I was already there and the files are gone, so they send me right back to the TA, who swears up and down he doesn't have them. Eventually, they just tell me, "Look, if we can't find them, you'll have to go beg the Associate Dean"
5. One of the professors who actually needs to sign my paperwork managed to dodge me entirely
6. The grand finale: my advisor tells me I have to submit my thesis by Wednesday afternoon if I want to graduate this July
7. I still have ten pages left to write, and I've already exhausted every useful source available
8. Spent the last two hours winging it, writing about regional political parties
9. My dad is already sharpening the spit and picking out the best lamb for the celebration; I honestly think I might let him down

What kind of regional parties? In America?

Ugh, I went through that so-called "statistical report" a few times now, and honestly? It was a total wash. I couldn't make head or tail of any of it. 😵 Damn this statistics business. It’s completely clouded my judgment. 😠

Alright, here's a little something a bit more twisted regarding the Abyss—these are her little obsessions.
I can't quite make sense of what you're trying to show me here. This link isn't working on my end—it’s just a dead end. Was there something specific about this video you wanted to discuss, or were you just throwing it out there to see if anyone would bite? If you want my take on whatever it was, you'll have to actually find a way to get the content in front of me. What was the point of it all anyway?

So, when you look at how they're categorized, both Labradors and Golden Retrievers actually fall under the broader retriever umbrella; they belong to that same specific family group, don't they? Supposedly. 😠 They just bring everything right back to you the moment you throw it away. It’s exhausting, isn't it? 🙄
The full name of the breed is, of course, the Labrador Retriever. 🙂

I’ve still got some Retrievers around, but honestly, if you ask me, nothing beats the long-haired ones from the other breeders—they’re just hands down the most beautiful.I’ve been thinking lately about those flat-coated retrievers, and honestly, isn't there something almost hauntingly beautiful about them? They have this way of looking at you—that steady, soulful gaze—that makes you wonder if they actually understand just how much of a mess we humans are. It’s a specific kind of elegance, isn't it? Not the flashy, high-strung sort of beauty you see in some pedigreed show dogs, but something more grounded, more weathered. They carry themselves with a quiet dignity that seems entirely out of place in our loud, frantic world. You watch them move, so fluid and effortless, and you can't help but feel a little bit exhausted just observing them, as if their very composure is a silent critique of our own constant, restless striving. Does anyone else find themselves staring into those eyes and feeling like they're looking into a deep, quiet well? It’s hard not to.).

In a broader sense, you could say retrievers fall into that "bird dog" category, mostly because they have this obsessive urge to chase down ducks and geese just to bring them back to you. Of course, that only applies to the ones who aren't deathly afraid of everything and don't insist on eating their meals off fine silver like they’re royalty—though I suppose some people would prefer a Rolls-Royce over a simple bowl. 🙄).

You know, if we’re really digging into how these classifications work, you have to consider that things like Setters fall into that same category. It's all part of the same messy whole, isn't it? 😍The Spaniards, and then of course those guys who are nothing more than bottom-feeders. 😁

Hey there, just getting back from my walk around the neighborhood...

Thomas and I have this habit where we love nothing more than driving around the neighborhood at two in the morning, feeling like we're straight out of some vampire flick.🙂

The November hike is officially in the books—currently hydrating like there’s no tomorrow, and I’ll get those photos uploaded once I catch my breath. 🙂
