I think we’re only looking good because we play great when it's just four guys moving the ball and those two wingers just catch it and pass it off. It's obvious Djemba is playing less because he clearly isn't at 100% yet—how much longer is that gonna take?
It feels like the guys on the national squad have totally forgotten how to play through the wings. They just default to outside shooters, and when we run into a real powerhouse team, we're gonna be in deep trouble. And don't even get me started on the defense, because our defense is an absolute disaster...
I’m hoping everything clicks by the semifinals because things could get ugly. Honestly, it might not be a bad idea to surprise the Mexicans by dropping a second unit into the game and barely using the starters, just to keep them rested for the semis....
The game is gonna be a grind, honestly more of a street fight than actual handball. I’m expecting a repeat of that mess against the Canadians, though obviously with us coming out on top in the end
Man, our defense is screwing us... and defense is the foundation of everything...
The offense is solid even without the wings. Damn, we really miss our main wingers (Caleb and Djemba). Huge props to Horvat and Spremu, but they were definitely better synced up with those two who are sidelined right now...
What do I know, Peter and Djemba together were a total blast to watch🙏
But back to the defense, we need to be tougher. We need to actually step up and meet the players instead of just sitting there blocking. And let's try to rotate more so Spoljarić can get more minutes on the defensive side...
For Christ's sake, he's the defensive specialist and he's only playing 10 minutes😁
So yeah... basically, it’ll get better. It has to.👍
