Man, this is becoming a total obsession. You’ve got the entire discography now, for God's sake.

So, what is my old avatar doing hanging around here?

which hostel were you at?

Easterner hostel, just 200m from the top of Oranienburgestrasse. Highly recommend. You can walk to the Brandenburg Gate in 10-15 minutes; the place is small and cozy, open 24/7, plus there's a kitchen (fridge, dishes, appliances—all yours). Free Wi-Fi too. The crowd at the hostel was wild, and the owner is this totally fried guy (honestly, has the memory of a goldfish) who’ll do anything to make sure you're comfortable. There's a grocery store, bakery, internet cafe, pharmacy, and a restaurant right nearby. Top tier stuff.👍

Maybe the Miura, Peglica, and Autobianchi I'm bidding on over on eBay will make me feel better... 😉

Reminded me of you, but those prices were straight-up astronomical. I wouldn't have had anything left to eat.😢

Here, for those two days I was there last week:

Carol Jackson45: Look, I get it—this hobby isn't exactly cheap, which is why I pretty much live on eBay. You can usually score some decent deals if you look hard enough...

Here are the top 3 diecast cars I snagged on eBay yesterday:

3. Miura:

2. Autobianchi:

We actually cried when we sold it. It was my mom's very first car. Same color, too. 😢

You people are out of your minds. A car is meant for driving—not for staring at. I can only imagine owning a Peglica and having to actually drive it—and I’m not even that tall—plus trying to cram suitcases in there for a two-week family trip to Florida, not to mention messing around with installing a CD/MP3 player... :horror:

I used to drive down to Trieste all the time whenever my other car was in the shop. I'd end up loading the whole thing down with Iron Maiden vinyl and a massive stack of secondhand Dylan Dog comics. 👍

bauhaus! right in the middle of our street! 😁 I mean, take it easy with the album releases, I'm in no rush at all...

Even the local milkman offered to drop off my playlist along with the dairy delivery

Exactly! We had a similar situation. Everyone was buying up topolin comics and Dylan Dog issues.😍

The Peglica was legendary. Later on, we moved into a Renault 4, which was a fantastic little car.

Number one piece of absolute trash memorabilia: A postcard of Dubrovnik from this past summer—that specific annoyance when you realize your own face is somehow plastered right in the center of the shot next to all the famous landmarks (we simply couldn't resist).

Must be nice cruising out of Pula... we had to trek all the way from Split to Venice on a Greyhound bus. Beat that.😬

Hard agree. Cars, bikes, anything with wheels—not for me.😢

Now, when it comes to bicycles or rollerblading, 😍 I consider myself an expert... but cars? 😲 I remember back in elementary school, whenever we had those driver's ed quizzes, I was consistently the worst student in class. I could manage to memorize the answers just enough to pass, but actually understanding who has the right of way or why certain rules exist? Total nightmare. 😳

And don't even get me started on the technical specs of a car. 😬

I took that test twice near Chicago and ended up with a D both times 😬
