Ugh, amateurs. I'm out here tearing up the pavement 🥳

Honestly, I could use a good cruise, if it wasn't for all these damn other drivers on the road 🙂

Carol Jackson45 said:Must be nice for you, cruising out of San Francisco like it’s nothing. Some of us actually had to put in the work, trekking all the way from Miami to Venice in an old junker. You think you've got it easy? Try beating that. 😬

Haha, tell me about it. It’s the absolute truth. 🙏

"Hey there, how's it going, Betty?" Rock asked, giving her a little wink, while she just sat there rubbing her temples like he was being a complete headache again.
It’s nothing, Rock, really—just watching the fish struggle out there. But please, for the love of God, turn that radio off; you're making my head spin like a damn top. To be honest with you, I actually preferred those times when we used to drive without any music playing at all. At least back then we could actually have a conversation, but now? Now it's just constant, mindless noise blaring in my ears.
Did they seriously not even have a radio on him? Honestly, that customs officer was a total disaster.
We didn't, because Rock put him right in New York City.
Good grief, you’ve gone and thrown us right back into the gutter again—could you maybe just give us a heads-up before everything goes south?
"You're going to cough up eighty thousand," the customs agent says, dead serious, "so you might as well just go over there and declare it properly."
You guys didn't tell me a single thing about the radio situation. Honestly, how was I supposed to know? You never once mentioned that I wasn't allowed to bring up the radio.
You really went and pulled a fast one on me there, Betty... honestly, you’re just a smooth talker.

You guys are really overthinking this. Honestly, back in middle school, I didn't have a clue who was supposed to go where or why—we didn't even have formal testing, he’d just ask us at the chalkboard, and frankly, the guy never really clicked with me. It would have been pretty pathetic if you actually hit an intersection and had no idea how to navigate it, but man, during driving school, nobody bragged about those "advantages" more than the instructors did.

Go ahead and sign up for your driver's ed classes and see where everyone ends up in a month. 🙂

Just give the guys on the forum a heads-up before you head out for a drive: tell them not to show up 😬

Hehe, true. Even if I could wrap my head around all that theory, there’s zero chance I’d actually be able to pull it off in real life. I used to be one of those drivers who would slam on the brakes out of nowhere, cruise at 40 mph on the interstate, or cut people off during lane changes. Everyone would be honking their horns and losing their minds at me, and honestly? I'd be too embarrassed to even look at my passengers. 😬 No thanks, I think I'll just stay clear of the traffic. 😁

Speaking of driving, when are you guys planning to head out to the outskirts for a bite? I actually need a lift over to the Premium Outlets—apparently, it’s somewhere around that area—so if there's any room left in the car, could I squeeze in? 🙂

Susan Clark10 said:The number one thing I am never, ever going to learn? Driving a car... 🙂

That’s exactly what I used to think back when I was your age, but look at me now... I’m out here writing reviews for Autoweek and switching through different cars like they're nothing. Honestly, I've even started reaching for my passenger's leg instead of the gear shifter... 😳 Honestly, I feel kind of awkward about this now... because I know for a fact nobody is going to believe me when I say it wasn't intentional... 😢

I don't even know where to start with this one... just total nonsense. Honestly, some people really need to get a grip on reality before they open their mouths online. It’s getting ridiculous at this point... The user says:
You guys are out of your minds. A car is meant for driving, not for staring at like some museum piece. I’m just imagining owning a tiny little classic American car and actually having to drive it... and I’m not even that tall. Then you have to try and cram luggage for a two-week family trip to the coast into it, and don't even get me started on trying to install a modern stereo system... absolute nightmare...

You’re one hundred percent right... and one hundred percent wrong. There is zero chance I'm getting this other perspective across to you, so I'm not even gonna bother trying...

Ahem, well... I think I've reached the age where any kind of transformation feels impossible 😁

True, and another big factor is that I live right in the heart of the city, so I've honestly never really needed a car. Though, I won't admit that you can't get around without one—I walk quite regularly when heading home from places, and it's really not as bad as all you drivers seem to think 🙂

On top of all that, my mother used to drive a image Chevrolet model—which, quite frankly, my brother and I absolutely ran into the ground—while my brother had a image Honda model, and I’m actually still holding onto a image Toyota model myself. 😁

Oh, and one more thing: image!

Go Sebastien Loeb, go!

Everyone knows better than to be out on the streets that day... 🥳

Once I meet a guy who’s actually gonna let me take the wheel more than twice, then I'll know he's serious. 😬

In reality, none of that matters. All that exists are traffic lights.

Hypothetically, even if a traffic light breaks down at a massive intersection like Broadway and everyone—cars, streetcars, cops, cyclists—tries to push through at once, you just end up following the bumper in front of you in one big mindless clump without using a single brain cell.
Honestly, I haven't had a clue about those right-of-way rules for ages. Two months after passing the driving test, it's just traffic lights, stop signs, yield signs, and the "hand signal" rule—though I've never actually used that last one either.

And regarding what you said about always walking when you're home (not that I feel like fixing the quote formatting), well, not everyone lives right in the middle of Times Square.😠

As for the outskirts, who knows. I guess we'll have to coordinate with Pat. You want to grab some gyro with us?

Count me in! Make it a veggie gyro 🙂

As for walking, I spent a solid 8 years training back in Indianapolis. Every single time I missed that last fourteen-minute interval at 11:20 PM (which was basically every other day 😁) I’d just walk from the bridge all the way home—and that was right after two hours of intense training. So, please, be kind ☕

Besides, I don't really have the budget for driving school anyway. Even if I did, I'd much rather spend the money on something else entirely 😬

Ugh, please, that’s easy—parades or those tracks playing nothing but hits always seem to have the upper hand... 😬

The top 5 things I am never going to learn how to operate:

1. A car
2. A motorcycle
3. A forklift
4. An excavator
5. A bicycle (well, this one is technically possible, if only all those girls who told me they'd teach me would actually step up—if all those ladies teamed up, maybe David could finally learn to ride a bike😁)

Classic American cars
Sunbeam
Renault 4 I
Renault 4 II
Opel Corsa

Speaking of cars, though, I definitely get along best with Miss USA and David.

On another note, the absolute worst publications out there:
  1. Autoweek
  2. Sports Illustrated

*Cough.* Like I said, my parents and I took a total clunker straight from Indianapolis to the Ocean. 🙂
