Like I said. Honestly, we should just ban everyone from drinking unsalted water. image

You can take the person out of the mainland, but you can't take the mainland out of the person.

Khm... I learned to swim without floaties at three. I've spent ten times more time in the water than your average Midwesterner, and I spent six months of every year at the coast until I was six.

Real ocean lovers don't just swim in the sea constantly. True enthusiasts hit the water maybe four times a year at most. You landlubbers are just exploiting the ocean with your excessive splashing. 😛

1. because nobody ever bothered to teach them how to just stick them somewhere out of sight or smash them into a little ball to get rid of them 😁

3. would you rather have a spear or a sword in a fight?

😲 That isn't some "stupid debate"—it’s a fundamental question that gets right to the heart of combat strategy. Seriously. 😍

I'll add number 6 to the list: can you actually die from jumping? We still haven't reached a consensus on that one.

If you actually respect the water, you probably limit yourself to maybe four swims a year at most. You people from the Midwest, though—you just go overboard with the constant swimming like you’re trying to own the place. Don't you realize that by constantly jumping in, you're really just exploiting the coast? 😛

Exactly. You hit the nail right on the head.

Is there anything more soul-crushing than trying to find a moment of peace when you're stuck dealing with the chaos of the seventh and eighth floors? You’d think with all the space we have, someone would have figured out how to manage the sheer madness of those levels by now, but here we are. Honestly, does anyone actually enjoy navigating that mess, or are we all just collectively pretending it's normal? It feels like every time I try to catch a break, I’m met with the same old headaches. Is it just me, or does the whole situation feel increasingly absurd? 🙄 It’s just how things go during this time of year, isn't it? Every true Dalmatian is out there making a racket, practically chirping away at every single street corner. Meanwhile, the women stay tucked away inside their homes, either keeping things orderly or busy over a hot stove. 🙂

It’s the exact same story here in Cleveland, though if you ask me, the reasons behind it are a whole different mess. 😬

It’s much like fine dining; you savor the ocean in those rare, fleeting moments when every single condition aligns perfectly. And that almost never—I mean *never*—happens before 4:00 PM.

Yeah. The ocean is for enjoying, not just for swimming in. I mean, sure, maybe a few times during the summer when the heat is absolutely killing you around 6 or 7 PM...

Even though I grew up in a small coastal town, I’ve never understood that linguistic gatekeeping bullshit. The ocean is a much bigger concept than just the water itself, just like water is a subset of the ocean. If I’m hanging out at the beach and feeling random, I might ask, "wanna get in the water?" instead of "wanna go to the ocean." In that sense, the water is just one part of the whole "ocean" idea, so I don't see why anyone would give me grief for using the term...

Carol Jackson45 😘 I actually dig those Fords, and that last one was a 1986 Proxima.

It’s all just a bunch of nonsense. I mean, Tales said it, but he was always just talking to hear himself talk, you know? He's just full of it, I guess.

And let me throw in a number 7... does the lyric from that song "Bad Boy," when the singer is belting out:

"Because you're a bad boy, a big bad boy, you don't want a kid like me."

Is the songwriter actually saying "you don't want a kid like I am," or is it more like "you don't want to have a kid with me"? It's one of those things that just sticks in your head...
