Absolute degenerate behavior today:
1. Some random creep keeps leaving little notes on my car whenever I head over to the dentist: "Sir, this parking spot is reserved for residents of this building, not for people from down the street. Next time, feel free to park on the sidewalk or just leave your hazard lights blinking in the middle of the road. Thanks."

God, I swear, I’m actually going to bite my own teeth out. What an absolute moron.

I guess that's why I don't treat myself to one very often.😢

Carol Jackson45 said:My top 10 childhood gums, in reverse order:

1. Those little round ones in the plastic packs—you’d get about 10 or 15 per pack, and they’d lose all flavor within two minutes.

😍 They were the absolute best.

But seriously... does anyone know if there's anything on the American market specifically meant for blowing massive bubbles? Like, you want to blow one giant bubble and then three more inside it. Does actual bubble gum exist?
Hubba Bubba was great when I was a kid, but now they've shrunk them down to half the size. You can shove six pieces in your mouth and it still won't give you those perfect bubbles. 😢

FBI:

1. Bad
2. Star...
3. Slow hands
4. Obstacle 2
5. C'mere

Laura Gonzalez44, I flipped the order on purpose because even I thought those were objectively the worst ones. Who else gave a damn about those tiny little things when we had those cigarette-shaped ones? 🙂

You can still find those little round gumdrops somewhere (for about a buck fifty 😁). My girlfriend goes through a whole bag an hour 😁

I'm not sure if those Big Bubble ones are still around, but I once managed to blow three bubbles nested together using them. They really were the best for that task.🙂

I stumbled upon those cigarette gums yesterday—they were just sitting there in Hugh's box.

pule 🙂 said:👍 That's great! I’ve always judged quality by the shade of chocolate too... 😁 But honestly, what’s funny is that even though those old-school snack bars aren't actually that delicious, they always hit the spot for me. Maybe it's just pure nostalgia from being a kid. And those frozen treats? Man, those were the best during summer break...
As for everything else—I can't stand marzipan. I've given it a few tries, but it's just never going to happen for me. Raisins are amazing in every single combination, just like dried fruit. Dried mango is my absolute favorite... those multi-fruit granolas are 🙂 just like those little coffee-filled chocolate truffles you used to find at the local corner store, even if I haven't seen them in ages...

Hehe, same here... those specific snacks always take me right back to summer vacation from school. Even those cheese pastries from the deli we used to eat in layers (the one where the cheese was always at the very end 😁)
Raisins are king—in chocolate, in baked goods, in granola, just plain... but marzipan? I can't organically stomach the taste and I'm never giving it a second chance...
And those coffee-filled chocolates from Hershey's? Truly elite. 🙂 I still find a few tucked away in my candy dish occasionally near the corner of my desk.

Some stay part of the core lineup while others just rotate through.
When I called Interpol a "terrible indie phenomenon," I wasn't talking about hair gel—I was talking about the media hype surrounding them. Honestly, what do I actually know about Interpol besides those two albums? Not much. But for me, that’s more than enough to go on.

Zelig makes a solid point—Interpol’s absolute best track has to be the one about viking Leif Erikson... after that, you've got The New, Stella..., PDA, Evil, C'mere, taka you on a Cruise... and so on.

But here is my take... my personal Smashing Pumpkins greatest hits list:

(since Susan Clark10's version was completely off base 😬)

1. galapogos
2. drown
3. soma
4. 1979
5. thirty-three
6. today
7. to forgive
8. soothe
9. luna

Billboard Top 100😬 :

2. Smalltown Boy
3. Junk
4. Puit D'Amour (this one actually cracks the top 3 if you accidentally spin the record at 33 1/3 rpm)
5. Hit That Perfect Beat (honestly, I’ll never stop wondering why Johnny Cash didn't cover this... I can just hear it in my head)
6. Why?
7. Heatwave
8. I Feel Love (ep version)

👋

It had the consistency of an average rock, much like trying to chew through granite, but I suppose it was worth softening it up for five minutes just to get a hint of flavor out of it. 🙂

NYC

Some are always there, the rest just rotate.

NYC is endlessly boring to me. It feels like some gloomy fall day where it never stops raining.

There’s always a core group, then everyone else rotates. And it's not just for Interpol 😉

My Pampers list:

1. drown
2. soma
3. galapogos
4. 1979
5. luna
6. to forgive
7. daydream
8. disarm
9. hummer
10. rocket

The first five are locked in. The rest change depending on my mood. Hm... nothing after the third album 😬 😈
