Today's leaderboard for questionable life choices

Ordered the Koyaanisqatsi Philip Glass soundtrack on Amazon

I guess I've officially entered my "serious person" era😉

Suddenly I’m becoming a highbrow intellectual...😉

Seriously though, why didn't you ask if I wanted to just blast it through my speakers until my ears bleed?
Honestly, I think it's one of the weaker Glassov pieces anyway.

Wait, seriously? You're actually reading my posts on the blog and then stumbling into a conclusion that makes that much sense? 😬

Personally, I'd say that's one of Glassov's weaker pieces.
Einstein rules. 🙏

I actually thought about grabbing the original Einstein, and honestly, the price wasn't even the issue—just $43 plus shipping. But with the way customs works here in the States, they'd probably tack on an extra fee just for fun.

Since everyone was raving about this one and the price felt right, I went with him instead.

Now, No Einstein is a total must-have. If you happen to bring it to the next meetup, I'll owe you big time—I'll even cover the round of beers.

Anyway, I really need music that isn't totally over-the-top. I gotta stay focused to get through my work, you know how it is...

Wait, you mean I've never fried an Einstein for you? Unbelievable... Anyway, I'll be around tonight, so I'll bring it by tomorrow and maybe whip up a few other things to match the mood. (Not doing any audio CDs though, I need four of those)...

A "subtle" ad. 😁
Wow, I just opened up your blog for the very first time today... 😳

If you're flying high, then you're definitely my kind of obsession!

See? Sometimes being subtle actually pays off... 😁

Hands down, the best advertising slogan I've come across all year:
Weifert—it’s just a classic old-school term for beer.

...or is there actually any sex in an airplane?
I totally lost it listening to this again this morning.
The track playing in the van was the absolute best.
Those choruses are legendary every single time.
If they just trimmed it down a bit, it would be an all-time deluxe masterpiece.

A fan,

Zelig

5. Severina’s out here sponsoring chicken!

some lucky ladies from Slađana Petrušić's circle.
3. Goga Sekulić sets her sights on a young kid!
2. Jelena Karleuša—just a total diamond bust.

Here are my top 10 takeaways from my "career" as a gigging musician:

1. When a guitarist claims their volume ratio is "just right," what they actually mean is they’re twice as loud as everyone else in the band.
2. If an audio engineer tells you, "we'll fix it in the mix," they really mean, "you guys messed up the first time, and I honestly can't be bothered to redo it."
3. The color of a brand-new guitar pick will always somehow match the exact color of the carpet you're about to drop it on.
4. Drummers just seem to have a bit of a struggle when it comes to expressing themselves.
5. The sound engineer is always right—even when they are definitely not right.
6. I've learned that picking a fight with the sound guy is probably a terrible idea.
7. On the flip side, making friends with the sound guy is a brilliant move, whether he turns out to be a total amateur or a complete legend.
8. The instrument levels in your monitors during a live show and during soundcheck are NEVER the same.
9. I’m pretty sure about 90% of clubs in the country own a Trace Elliot bass amp.
10. Most of the time, soundcheck doesn't actually serve much of a purpose at all.

Man,
wait until you have to deal with "Mural Painting and Mosaic Design." Then you can come back here and talk about how much life sucks.
I’d probably still be stuck in my junior year if I hadn't threatened that total bitch :2up:

😍

Honestly, I don't know. For me, it was always more about struggling through acroteria, triglyphs, metopes, architraves, abacuses, and stylobates. 😬

*ahem* Look, ladies, I'm talking real-world experience here *ahem* carving stone, pouring concrete, working with plaster, and all that other gritty stuff *ahem*
