I’d personally throw *The Day the Earth Stood Still* into the mix—it feels a bit dated and almost absurd by today's standards, but honestly, it hit all the right notes back then 👍

I honestly can't believe I completely blanked on The Matrix.
It’s easily one of the greats, though personally, I think the first one is the only one that truly holds up.

As for Danny's film, it probably could have been better, but I brought it up because the book series—the whole saga—is just incredible.

No particular order here...

Alien – even if the others were decent (not counting that Deep Space Nine-esque fourth one), the original is a straight-up masterpiece...

2001: A Space Odyssey – a cinematic rhapsody with probably the most unique editing in history. Nothing else comes close.

Blade Runner – a classic in every sense of the word... hard to explain if you haven't seen it....

Dark City – even though The Matrix eventually grabbed all the glory, this sci-fi noir is superior in every way...

12 Monkeys – what can I even say? Terry Gilliam... I still remember feeling totally lost and stunned when I walked out of the theater. Subjectively, it might be my favorite.
