I find it hard to believe that nobody has brought up Roegov's "man Who Fell to Earth." It might not be the greatest sci-fi masterpiece ever made, but it certainly holds its own.

I have to admit, I was also obsessed with Mr. No- when I was growing up, which is exactly why I picked this name.🙂

Anyway, back to the matter at hand.
I think Alexander Lee34 did a solid job putting this thread together to help us figure out what else is worth our time.
Jurassic Park 😕 is a classic, though I suppose everyone is entitled to their own take on it.

Now, Brazil & 12 Monkeys definitely belong in the upper echelon. The screenplay for the latter is nothing short of brilliant.
I must confess, however, that I can't quite recall much about Brazil. I assume it's good, given how many people recommend it, so I really ought to sit down and watch it sometime soon.

Grimm Knows has some seriously good stuff to work with. Have you guys ever actually sat down and read the original Grimm stories?
Not those sanitized, Disneyesque versions you see in picture books—I mean the real deal. The stuff about incest, wicked mothers, limbs getting chopped off, all that barbarism... man, I have such high hopes for this movie.

Actually, the tales they recorded weren't even originally German—they were mostly French. They were told by French refugees living in Germany (after some revolution over there, I think) and so on. And the Grimm brothers definitely made things up and threw in their own twists. Can't wait 👏
