The issue is they aren't even responding 🤣

And it shows up in several different languages, too. Could this be some kind of conflict with my antivirus or a firewall setting?

I'm curious about playing roulette through online sportsbooks. Does anyone actually do this, and how reliable are the payouts? Basically, does it even work properly? Which site is the best way to go—from what I can tell, most of them just outsource their games to Paradise casino?

Which sportsbook is actually the best?
I'm weighing my options between Unibet, Expekt, or Pinnacle....

If anyone has some real-world experience with these, please let me know...

HEY, I personally use Bwin. When it comes to deposits, it's smooth sailing—you don't have to deal with those annoying foreign exchange headaches you get elsewhere. You can just send a wire transfer through any US bank directly to their account, and the funds usually land within three business days. As for the rest, you probably already know how it goes. Honestly, I haven't had to withdraw anything from online sites lately, so I can't give you a firsthand report on payouts. My advice? Just head over to their official website to check out the full instructions. If you're ready to go, you could even make a deposit as early as tomorrow with just a tiny bank fee (at any bank you choose). Cheers!

Walter Edwards said:I used to bet with them, but ever since I started having issues getting my withdrawals, I quit.... over the last two or three years, that bookie has gone downhill fast.

I don't know what level you're playing at with your stakes, but if you're just throwing down small change like $10-$50, you could start with Interwetten (100% bonus up to $55, requires a x3 turnover). But if you play bigger, they'll throttle you pretty quickly (both on your stake size and your max payout).

For stakes up to $300, go with Bet365 and Expekt.

For any amount, use Dimes, Canbet, and Centrebet if you're looking to play those combo parlays.

Singles? Stick to Pinnacle, The Greek, 188Bet, SBO, and IBCB.

By the way, factor in that 5% margin they bake into the odds at the local US sportsbooks, then look at what the actual odds end up being—online, you aren't paying anything extra. Also, you mentioned you only play favorites, but check out this comparison for the underdogs:

Wigan @8.50 Local Bookie, @14.61 Pinnacle, @14.37 5Dimes
Stoke @6.80 Local Bookie, @9.60 Pinnacle
Hull @10.50 Local Bookie, @23 Bet365
Tenerife @12.50 Local Bookie, @35 188Bet, @29.43 5Dimes
Malaga @8.40 Local Bookie, @13.64 Pinnacle
Lokomotiva @10.50 Local Bookie, @15.00 will Hill, @13.00 Expekt, @11.29 5Dimes

Don't even get me started on the parlays... The local shops are actually only decent for favorite parlays, or maybe if they fall asleep at the wheel and set wrong odds (or fail to follow market moves). Even though their favorite odds are comparable to, if not better than, the online ones (before you subtract that 5% juice), if you ever think about betting against the grain, you won't even get 50% of the online odds at a local shop—not to mention Betfair, where anything can happen.

Thanks for the super helpful breakdown, Walter Edwards🙏

I'm also planning to switch over to online books. I haven't fully decided yet, but I'm leaning towards Expekt and Pinnacle (I've heard some horror stories about BWIN + their interface drives me crazy). I feel like betting at the local spots means losing way too much money to manipulative fees, which just kills my yield.

And I have a few more questions:
1. Does every online book offer Asian Handicap? I haven't really dug deep into every single one's menu, but it seems like some don't have it.
2. Is there a minimum deposit limit? (I'm not really worried about the max limits yet 😁)
3. If I'm just playing with pocket change, is it even worth the hassle of transferring funds and all that? Or am I wrong? At what stake level do you think it's actually worth opening an online account? $17, $33, $67, $167?

I’m also planning on making the jump to online bookies. I haven't quite pulled the trigger on which one yet—I’m leaning toward Expekt or Pinnacle, though (I’ve heard some pretty sketchy stories about BWIN, plus their interface drives me absolutely insane). Honestly, betting at the local US shops feels like a total money pit—too many manipulative fees eating away at my yield.

A few more things I’m wondering about:
1. Does every online bookie offer Asian Handicap markets? I haven't really dug through everyone's individual menus yet, but it feels like some might be lacking.
2. Is there a minimum deposit requirement? (I'm not even sweating the max limits 😁 just yet).
3. If I’m just playing with pocket change, I feel like it isn't worth the hassle of transferring funds and all that jazz. Am I wrong? At what kind of stakes do you think it actually makes sense to bother opening an online account? $17, $33, $67, $167?

1. Most of them carry it. Take Expekt, for example—they don't have it for every single league, but they have a dedicated "Asian Handicap" menu where you can see exactly which leagues they cover. They usually offer Euro-handicap on pretty much everything. Besides, once you narrow down your picks, it’s easy enough to check a specific bookie's menu to see if they fit your needs.
2. There is a minimum deposit, usually somewhere between $0.10 and $1 depending on the site.
3. Do the math on how much you're bleeding by betting at the local US spots—lower odds on underdogs, often lower odds on favorites in other sports, those 5% vig fees, no Asian Handicap... compare that to the cost of moving money to an online bookie. I don't have an exact number for you, but even if your stake is only $33, I honestly think it pays off in the long run.

I was wondering, how does it actually work when you're trying to deposit or withdraw using a Diners Club card?

I mean, I think I get the deposit part... I assume I'll just get a receipt or something... but how does withdrawing money back to a Diners card even work? That's the one card I actually have on me right now...

Or should I just set up a Moonybokers account and go from there...

Can someone walk me through how to fund my account at Expekt?? I've got a foreign currency account, a checking account, and a standard savings account over at Chase!! Thinking about just dropping 50 bucks in to start—not entirely sure when or if this extra cash is actually going to land in my pocket.

I'm thinking about just tossing in 50 bucks to start, since I honestly have no clue when I'll have extra cash lying around or if I even will.

Just use your foreign currency account. You go to the deposits section, and it's pretty straightforward—you just plug in your card number and a few other details.
As for getting your winnings out, I mean, it'll hit your account as long as you're using one of the more reputable sites.🙂

There are tons of online sportsbooks out there—some good, some pretty terrible. Ultimately, choosing where to play depends entirely on what you’re looking for. Every bookie operates differently. I can offer a few pointers, though.

For instance, if you're looking to play singles or Asian Handicaps—especially if you're moving larger amounts—I'd suggest sticking to Asian books. Personally, though? I don't trust them. I once saw an Asian sportsbook just vanish overnight, taking my money with them. Luckily, my bankroll wasn't as big back then as it is now... but still—how can you trust a Chinese operation when your cash is on the line? Heh. Some European-style books offer Asian Handicaps too, but the odds are usually much worse—think Bet365, Unibet, or PayPal...

If you want to bet on "Both Teams to Score," you should probably look at Expekt, Unibet, Bet365, or Bwin. (Keep in mind, Bwin only offers the "both teams score" option, while the others give you options for specific teams to score or Over/Under markets for a single side). That said, none of these are absolute perfection when you weigh all the factors in.

When it comes to basketball, handball, or volleyball, I think Unibet, Bet365, Bwin, and Nordicbet are your best bets.

But here's the catch: these mainstream books are incredibly quick to limit your account, especially if you start stringing together consecutive wins with decent stakes—particularly on the smaller leagues—and actually hit your bets.

On top of that, the user experience varies wildly. Some sites are smooth, others are a nightmare. For example, Unibet and Expekt are decent enough, but their websites are clunky and totally impractical—just like Bet365. These guys could be much better if they had a high-quality interface like BWIN does.
Now, BWIN has a great website, but they are completely unreliable when it comes to payouts. Nobody wants to gamble with the constant anxiety of wondering if they'll actually get paid. Because of that, I don't recommend BWIN. They screwed me over three different times, refusing to pay out winning bets. Consequently, I only use them for small change. They will NEVER earn my trust, and I'm certainly not dropping more than $10 on a ticket with them—they haven't earned it.

Unibet is actually a solid choice for mid-range stakes, but like I mentioned, their site is painfully slow and just isn't functional. Everything else is fine, but the tech holds them back. Same goes for Bet365.

Nordicbet is good in many ways, but their selection might be a bit thin, and they tend to set much lower limits than the other big players.

Could someone please walk me through how to actually get funds onto my Expekt ?? account? I've tried going directly through my Visa Electron card, but it keeps getting rejected. Then I thought I'd try over at Moonybokers, but it just declined the card there too... Any advice? Thanks!

Look, if you want to use PayPal, you really need to verify your card first. Once that's done, just move your cash from the card over to your PayPal account. After that, you can use your PayPal balance to fund basically any sportsbook you want. If you're trying to use the card directly, just type in the card number, flip it over to grab those last three digits, and you should be good to go.

There’s a little trick to it. When you're dealing with PayPal verification, just give it about two days for the balance to actually settle. I went to check my Chase account online to get the confirmation, and everything showed they'd only pulled $0.20, which meant I couldn't verify the account at all. It was stuck. Fast forward two days, and Chase finally updated the transaction to $0.23.

Regarding online deposits and withdrawals—I have been doing business with http://www.payingsafer.com for quite some time now, and I can genuinely say I recommend them!

As for the sportsbooks—I really have to emphasize this one point: STAY FAR AWAY FROM BWIN!!!
You’ll need just as much luck trying to get your money out of them as you do winning your actual bets. They will find even the most microscopic discrepancy between your ID and your registered details just to justify closing your account. If you spend even a little time browsing the forums, you’ll see people have had endless issues with them. Furthermore, if you are actually lucky enough to get a payout approved, it takes an absolute eternity to hit your bank account!

My recommendation: Unibet. I’ve had excellent experiences with them—the selection is solid, and the odds are great. When I request a withdrawal to PayPal, the funds usually land in my account by the very next day! Honestly, I don't think you can find much better than that on this side of things. That said, I do feel the website—and the live betting interface specifically—could be a bit faster and more user-friendly.

One more thing—I noticed earlier when people were comparing the odds at SuperSport to those found online, that certain manipulative costs were being overlooked! In other words, a 1.20 odd at SuperSport is effectively the same as a 1.14 odd online!

If you are planning to dive into the world of poker, then this is the perfect spot for you:
Pokerstrategy.com

You simply register, pass a brief knowledge assessment, and you receive $50 + a $100 bonus entirely for free to use on whichever site you choose from their partners—they offer PartyPoker, Titan, Stars, Fulltilt, Everest, Mansion... and so on. It is essentially a no-deposit gift! Plus, they provide fantastic articles, video tutorials, and coaching... They won him over a long time ago, and they continue to impress me. It is definitely a place where you can always learn something new about the game.

My personal picks: PartyPoker, Titan, or Unibet.

Best regards,

redfox5 said:I’m a bit lost here... Robert Morgan6...I’ve been spending quite a bit of time lately thinking about the modern casino landscape here in the States. It's a fascinating industry, isn't it? I guess you could say there's something almost hypnotic about the way these massive resorts in places like Las Vegas or Atlantic City are designed to pull you in. Everything is so meticulously planned—the lighting, the sound, even the layout of the floor. I suppose it's all intended to create that sense of endless possibility, though I often wonder if we sometimes lose sight of the reality behind the flashing lights. Maybe it's just my cautious nature, but I find myself analyzing the math behind the games more than most people probably would. It’s certainly an intense environment, and while the excitement is undeniably real, I think it's always wise to approach it with a healthy dose of skepticism and a very clear plan in mind. So, what's the move here? Are we talking about going with a sportsbook, or just sticking to the house? I guess it really depends on how you look at the odds. Maybe it’s worth weighing both sides before making a call.
