I know for a fact you can deposit using a VISA electron card since I've done it at other US sportsbooks, but does anyone know if they'll actually send winnings back to that same card?

Anyone here dealt with this before? Just wondering if that's even an option or if it's a dead end.

Can anyone tell me if they actually paid him out like that, or is that just not a thing?

So, if you’re topping up your account using multiple Visa Electron cards—you know, just stacking them up—it’s totally doable to withdraw funds back out, but there’s a catch—you’ve got to hit a minimum of at least $100 per withdrawal. Just a heads-up for anyone trying to micro-manage their bankroll.

Does anyone know if someone else can transfer funds from their Skrill account directly into my account at DraftKings?

Does anyone know which online sportsbook lets you deposit or withdraw using a Chase Visa Electron card?

On DraftKings

Quick little update regarding the gambling laws here in the States.

The amended law kicked in back on January 1st, 2010. Under the old rules, playing online was technically banned, but there wasn't actually a penalty for regular people—just us everyday folks.

But...

The new law (specifically the part that hits us) says this:

Chapter IX.

FOREIGN GAMBLING OPERATIONS

Section 68.
(1) It is prohibited:

..............

2. participating in foreign gambling operations if the bets are placed within the United States.

3. collecting wagers within the United States for participation in gambling games hosted abroad.

Section 73.

.........

(3) A fine ranging from $10,000.00 to $16667 will be imposed on any individual who violates the prohibition regarding foreign gambling operations (per Section 68.).

Me? I’m sticking to my guns just like before. If I end up in court, I'll pay the fine and move out of the country—since this is how I make my living.

Those lowlifes can go jump in a lake. This whole thing is a total dictatorship... They think they can just dictate how we spend our own damn money? I hope the lot of them rot...

I intend to proceed as I always have. If this ends up in front of a judge, I’ll simply pay the fine and pack my bags for another country. Since this is my livelihood, I don't really have much of a choice...

Well, if you're planning on moving anyway, please don't bother paying the fine, haha 😁👍

Heh, who knows—we'll see 🙂

Personally, I’m hoping that was just for show. It feels like the real reason they tweaked the laws was just to hike up the taxes on any sportsbook winnings over 30 $0.00. So now, if you land, say, 30 $0.00, the house is just gonna shave off 15% for the IRS right off the top. And once you hit anything over 500 $0.00, they're taking a 20% cut
.
Man, I love this country...

Let’s be real here: a politician’s primary job isn't actually governing—it's figuring out how to dig up enough cash to cover their own damn overhead. It’s like running a massive corporation where the CEO spends half their day hunting for new revenue streams just to keep the lights on and the private jets fueled. They aren't looking at the budget to see how to help people; they're looking at the ledger to see where the next check is coming from.

So, now you're actually putting money on the line? $3.25 Fifty bucks? That’s basically playing tycoon with pocket change. $0.00Look, just split it up—do two bets of five instead. That way you’re looking at a $25 return. If you don't, you might as well just hand them your money as a gift. $2500... It’s honestly unbelievable. This guy actually nailed it—it was pure luck, plain and simple. $0.67 If you run a 3 out of 4 or a 4 out of 4 system bet, you’re looking at a potential payout north of $30,000. But here’s the kicker: after they take their cut, you're walking away with less than $30k. You'll probably clear around $4,000 if things go sideways, but that's the math for you. $167 Less... 🙄

And they think they can just slap me with a $10 fine $0.00 if I put down $100 on DraftKings? Yeah, right. Give me a break. Once that cash hits a service like PayPal or Moneybookers, it’s officially out of the country, and there’s no way for them to track it or claim it was sent specifically for betting...

No way. Besides, around here, they change laws faster than they change toilet paper. They're all idiots anyway...🙂

Look, depositing isn't the headache. The real mess starts when you're trying to pull $1,500–$2,000 out to your checking account every month. I’ve pulled it off before without much drama, but now I’m wondering if it's smarter to just route everything through PayPal instead. Even then—there's always a catch—I'd have to explain the source of those funds to my bank. If I tell them it's freelance income from some online gig, the IRS is going to come knocking for their cut, and they'll basically eat half my profit. No thanks.

What an entrance... I mean, sure, the topic itself is valid, but you could've at least taken two seconds to read the last few posts and see what we're actually talking about before jumping in.

Just go open a non-resident account in Canada and withdraw the cash there. Grab a local debit card and use an ATM back here in the States. That's how I handle it. It keeps everyone else out of my business.

I find this clause completely idiotic, considering I could just claim I wasn't physically in the US when I placed my bet.

It seems more like this is aimed at people trying to use a middleman here in the States to funnel money abroad—in which case, both parties would be facing penalties.

Nowhere does it explicitly state that making payments via the web is illegal...

That’s what I’m saying.

But honestly, look at the laws in this country. It feels like we need a damn translator just to make sense of the American legal code, even for those of us working in the industry every single day... 🤷

I was wondering what kind of card I actually need to have on hand if I want to sign up for an online sportsbook?
