I mean, which sportsbook are we even talking about? Maybe do a quick search online—I haven't really played on DraftKings myself, so I wouldn't know how they operate

Hey, ambercrane532, how'd I pull that off? My bill's showing up in dollars even though I used my Visa Electron card.

Well, you were depositing straight to the sportsbook, which—I don't know—might seem easy now, but you'll see why it's risky when you try to withdraw a real chunk of change. Once those "friendly" folks over at the IRS start asking questions about where the money came from and why it's hitting your account, you're gonna wish you'd been more careful. Trust me, the government is always looking for any excuse to grab a cut, they're basically just hunting for cash wherever they can find it.

Do whatever works for you, I guess, but if you want my two cents, stick with Moneybookers.

So which one are you using and what's the minimum bet

Wait, can I actually send money to my MoneyGram account if my bank account is set up in dollars instead?

Basically, Bet at Home is offering a 100% match bonus on every deposit made through June 16th.

So, if you deposit $100, you end up with $200 total!

Now, I'm a bit confused about the fine print regarding the wagering requirements for this bonus... I'm not entirely sure how to play it. Should I roll the whole thing over three times at 1.5 odds, or is there a different way to handle it? Does anyone know the exact mechanics here?

Also, do I need to wager just the bonus amount three times at 1.5 odds, or does the requirement apply to the full $200?

Right now I'm using Bet at Home—minimum is basically $1 per ticket regardless of whether it's a system bet or not (don't quote me on that 100%, maybe you can go lower but I haven't tried it)

Yeah, you can, as long as your mobile banking is also set up in USD... I'm not sure about other setups, though.

I actually opened a US dollar account for myself—mobile banking in USD, and all my sportsbooks and poker sites are in USD too. Honestly, I just did it so I wouldn't get ripped off on the exchange rates, which I think is probably the easiest way to handle it. I didn't really feel like messing around with different currency combinations, plus I have online banking so I don't even have to step foot in a bank.

If you put down $100, you end up with $200!

Now I'm trying to wrap my head around this whole "rollover" requirement for the bonus... I'm honestly not sure if I should be wagering the full amount three times over at 1.5 odds... or if there's some other trick to it... does anyone know how exactly this works???

And specifically, do I just have to roll over the $100 bonus three times at those 1.5 odds, or do I have to wager the entire $200?

It’s just the bonus itself, so just the $100.

Three times at 1.50 odds?

Or perhaps they've updated the rules...

So, how does online banking actually work, and what’s the deal with getting an account set up?

Honestly, just head down to your local Chase branch and ask them—I know from experience with Wells Fargo that if you just put in a formal request, they can get everything set up for you in like, five minutes. They'll give you one of those card readers, and it basically generates a one-time code whenever you need to log in to their site. It costs about $2.75/month, but I guess I don't really know how the other banks handle it

So, I see you can pay via MoneyGram using dollars, but what happens if my bank account is actually set up in pesos? Like, if I just tell them the currency is USD when it isn't, am I going to run into trouble?

I honestly don't know—you could probably set up a MoneyGram account using US dollars, but I'm not really sure what you'd even do with it. I guess you could try doing it in another currency too, but honestly, it shouldn't be that hard to just open a standard checking account in USD. There’s usually just some tiny annual fee, and they'll mail you a debit card in maybe ten or fifteen days. Just—and this is important—make sure when you're setting up the account that you pick the right currency from the start... because man, it is sooo incredibly difficult to change that later once you've already made your first deposit.

Or maybe they actually changed the rules on us...

I didn't catch the broadcast because I wasn't really following it, but if I recall correctly, it was three rounds at 100 bucks each.

And the odds need to be higher than 2, if I recall reading that correctly.
Don't quote me on that 100%...

My account is showing in US dollars now.
I'm just waiting for them to mail the verification documents to my house. Once that's done, will I be able to deposit into the sportsbook normally and withdraw directly to my checking account via mobile banking, or is there something else I need to do?

The odds need to be 2.00 or higher.
Honestly, you’re better off just sticking with DraftKings; they give a hundred bucks to every single new user who signs up.
You just have to wager it three times over at any decent odds.

So, if I go ahead and set up a foreign currency account in dollars, and then I head over to an ATM, am I actually gonna be able to pull out cash in pesos?

Here’s what it says right on their site...

"Users need to wager both the deposit and the bonus at least four (4) times at minimum odds of 2.00 (applies to singles and parlays) before they can withdraw any winnings. For users who deposit more than $100, they have to wager the full $200 amount at least four (4) times before being eligible for a payout."

This is absolute madness...

I'm just sitting here waiting for them to mail out my address verification—once that hits my mailbox, am I good to go? Like, can I just start depositing into my sportsbook account and then withdraw straight to my checking account via mobile banking, or is there some other hoop I'll have to jump through?

If you haven't actually sent the payment yet, don't sweat it—you should still be able to switch up the currency. I'd say just shoot them an email first... they'll probably walk you through how to handle it.

Ronald Barrett55 said:So, if I were to set up a foreign currency account in dollars right now—say, just to have some extra cash sitting there—and then I headed over to an ATM, would I actually be able to pull out any cash in local currency? Or would it just get stuck? I guess it really depends on how the machine handles the conversion, maybe...

Yeah, but either way, you’ll still have the one you’re holding right now—you can just open a separate account specifically for the sportsbook. Just a heads-up though, if you want to use mobile banking, you're gonna need a card with a CVC code, so maybe check which bank offers that easily... I think Chase or Bank of America usually makes it pretty straightforward.
