Well, if I actually had it, I'd spend it immediately.

I figured it was time for me to jump into this discussion too.🙂
I have a few questions:
1. Is there an online sportsbook actually registered with a local branch here in the US? I want to make sure anyone depositing funds isn't accidentally breaking any laws.
2. I have a Mastercard account that I've used before... but now I'm hitting a snag. Up until recently, they had a relationship with Chase, but that account is closed. Now, it seems the only way to fund things from here is through international wire transfers or using a foreign currency account via high voltage. My current account shows everything—balances, limits, transactions—in USD, which makes sense. But as far as I know, a foreign currency account should be able to hold various currencies. So, how am I supposed to deposit funds from a debit card held in Euros? Or even just verify the card when the amount shows in Euros but clearly needs to be in USD... is there some other way to check what my base currency is set to on PayPal?
As for the fact that the Mastercard account is now handled abroad, if you ask me, that's actually better. Based on my reading of the law, nothing says we can't participate in foreign gambling; it simply states we shouldn't be placing bets that are processed within the United States. Since I'm sending my payment directly to a legal entity (PayPal), I'm not committing a violation. The stakes aren't being collected or deposited from within the US... here is a link to the current law, and I've pasted the specific article regarding online betting below, though it's all open for debate (personally, I don't think online sportsbooks should even fall under this category)
http://www.congress.gov/legislation/example-link

Correct me if I've misunderstood anything. And thanks to everyone who takes the time to help me out...😉

FOREIGN GAMBLING ACT

Article 68.
(1) It is prohibited:
2. To participate in foreign gambling if the stakes are being paid within the United States,

3. To collect stakes within the United States for participation and payment in gambling games organized abroad.

P.S. Regarding picking a sportsbook based on bonuses... wrooong... if any of these sites offered me a bonus right now, I’d turn them down in a heartbeat. I've had friends run into way more trouble than they were worth because of those bonuses—mostly when it comes to actually withdrawing winnings. Once you really look at the rollover requirements you have to meet just to keep the money, it completely kills the urge to play... I got lucky once where I hit a bonus and blew through it immediately anyway.🙂
My personal system is pretty simple... I mostly stick to DraftKings and bet365, while I only keep a tiny bit of cash in bwin just to watch their video streams.🙂
I'll have to see how the payouts compare, but for now, I can say bwin is solid because of the live streaming and live betting (which is my preference), as is bet365. DraftKings has a pretty weak live interface... oh, and I tried Expekt once, but they rubbed me the wrong way. Their live section is pure chaos, even if the overall selection isn't bad.

Which one's the easiest for deposits and withdrawals?
And which one actually has the best offers?

So, why even bother using PayPal for deposits?

DraftKings is definitely my go-to choice
1. They let you deposit using pretty much any method you can think of
2. Getting your cash out is super fast
3. Unlike those other guys like BetMGM, they don't give you the runaround by constantly asking for more paperwork or claiming your ID isn't valid just to stall the payout
4. You even get a little $5 birthday gift, which is a nice touch
5. Plus, they’re always throwing out new bonus offers for the loyal players

When it comes to deposits and withdrawals, honestly, they’re all pretty much the same if you're just using PayPal—but I usually stick to Mastercard. It's mostly so the IRS doesn't come knocking at my door, you know? Plus, it's super fast... like, you can move funds from your account to your Mastercard in maybe 20 seconds, and then right back to the sportsbook if you need to jump on a bet quickly. As for what games are actually available, I guess that just depends on what kind of action you're looking for.

So, do I actually need to send over any paperwork for PayPal?
I heard some guy mention you have to scan stuff in and upload it first.

You totally missed the not one single option, mostly because we're talking about mid-tier online bookies here—they lean more toward the subpar side of things. Besides, this whole debate about online betting sites has been hashed out a dozen times already. Honestly, guys, maybe try doing a quick scan of the forum before dropping these kinds of mindless, redundant threads 🤷

Look, I’ve already mentioned that this has been covered extensively in this thread, but since I’m feeling generous today, I’ll do the legwork for you:

You should check this out—it’s basically a full directory of nearly every online sportsbook, complete with reviews and grades (ranging from A+ for the best down to an F- for the absolute worst):

If you want to dive deeper, here are a few other threads where people have been debating online betting🤷:

It’s honestly wild how lazy everyone is—just waiting for everything to be handed to them on a silver platter. 🙄 And somehow, I'm the idiot who keeps stepping up to help them out. 🤦

At this rate, someone’s probably going to ask me to place their bets for them next. 🙂

IT DEPENDS ON THE PERSON! ☕

Btw, my parents got some junk mail from DraftKings today—some kind of promo where they match whatever you deposit plus extra stuff. They sent them a code...
I'm pretty sure it’s because I signed them up under their names (which explains why they got it)😉

Hey, anyone here ever messed around with BetMGM? It doesn't look half bad from what I can see, but I don't know... does anyone actually know anything about this place?

Does anyone actually know how to shut down an account on Bet365?
Also, if I've already signed up, am I going to start getting junk mail sent straight to my house? If they do send stuff, what kind of nonsense is usually in those letters?

I head over to DraftKings... I want to drop 80 bucks on a 1.60 line and they tell me no... like, you can only do 59.60. So I put down the 59.60 and—of course—I lose. The live streaming doesn't even work in my area, and they don't even offer Over/Under for tennis? I requested a 100 dollar payout and just when I finally forgot about them, the funds hit my PayPal—it took nearly 10 days! Meanwhile, those offshore sites pay out in 24 hours max.

Picasso? Please. It’s a joke. Sure, they claim to have the best odds—yeah, right. They might have decent lines 24 hours before a match... then they tank them immediately. And if you want to run a parlay, fine, but they only give you specific matches—and they dump them at 7:00 AM for that same day? Plus, the site is constantly lagging and they keep blocking streams intermittently. Their "live betting" isn't even live; you can't bet on the current set, only the next one. You can't even do a 3+ goals parlay, just singles. Not to mention how pathetic and limited their actual selection is.

Bet365 is the gold standard. They have everything, you can do anything, the selection is Extra! The livestreaming works. Live betting is seamless. Good bonuses, too. They actually void tennis bets if someone retires. You can pick handicaps for most sports that I haven't seen anywhere else. My only gripe is how fast they drop the odds... if a line is 1.60 everywhere else, it's already down to 1.40 with them. Total headache.

Seriously though, if anyone finds a solid sportsbook online, let me know.
Has anyone tried BetMGM or FanDuel?

Sophia Williams6 said:I head over to DraftKings wanting to drop eighty bucks on a 1.60 line, only to be told it’s a no-go... apparently, I’m capped at fifty-nine sixty. So, naturally, I take the fifty-nine sixty and lose immediately. To make matters worse, the live streaming is geo-blocked for my area, and they don't even offer Over/Under markets for tennis... then there was the matter of requesting a hundred dollar payout, which sat untouched in my PayPal for nearly ten days before I even remembered about it... meanwhile, those offshore sites process everything in twenty-four hours or less...

Picasso? Please. There is nothing worse... They claim to have the best odds, sure, if you happen to look at them twenty-four hours before kickoff, but they slash them the second anyone actually notices... If you’re looking to build a parlay, go ahead, I suppose, if you enjoy being restricted to whatever random games they decide to throw out there at seven in the morning... And don't even get me started on the website itself; it’s perpetually lagging and constantly blocking certain matches only to unblock them moments later, a complete mess... They call it live betting, yet you can't even bet on the current set, only the next one... You can't even pull off a simple over 2.5 goals parlay, just singles... Not to mention how incredibly thin and limited their entire selection is...

Bet365 is easily the gold standard. They have everything you could possibly want, the variety is truly Extra, and the live streaming actually works without constant buffering. The live betting experience is seamless too, and the bonuses are solid enough... they’ll void your tennis bets if someone retires mid-match, which is fair, I suppose. You can also select handicaps on a wider range of sports than I’ve seen anywhere else... but man, those odds drop like a stone. If the rest of the market is sitting at 1.60, you’ll look over at them and find it’s already plummeted to 1.40. It’s infuriating...

I mean, seriously, if anyone actually manages to stumble upon a decent betting line online, please do let me know...
Has anyone actually bothered to test out BetMGM or FanDuel yet...

So, here I am... I was looking through FanDuel earlier... Extremely satisfied...
Beyond the extensive selection and the polished interface of their American site, I find myself drawn to those granular match analyses they provide... things like total shots on target, who’ll rack up more offsides, ball possession percentages, or even card counts. They even dive into tennis with niche markets, such as whether a match will run longer or shorter than 89.5 minutes...

The odds they're offering are actually quite solid, and I find myself more than satisfied with them... Perhaps their biggest shortcoming lies in the live betting experience, though even that is reasonably well-structured, if they don't quite boast the massive volume of available events seen at some of the other major sportsbooks...

It seems we're circling back to the basics again, though I can't say I'm particularly surprised by the lack of variety in these discussions... It feels quite similar to BetMGM... They offer a solid selection and an intuitive interface, featuring extensive coverage of the major leagues—sometimes upwards of 50 markets per match. Their real edge, however, lies in their live betting setup, which is arguably superior to what you'd find at BetMGM in certain aspects. I’ve spent the last few days comparing their live odds to other platforms, and they consistently come out ahead... Furthermore, they provide live streaming for a vast number of matches alongside the live betting options, and you rarely run into those frustrating restrictions on parlay combinations that seem to plague BetMGM... Another notable advantage is their proprietary skiing duels, which they curate themselves; it's clear they aren't just recycling the exact same matchups and nearly identical odds used by every other sportsbook on the market...
On Saturdays, you can place live bets right up until the final whistle on nearly every match we cover on the text stream, provided you want to mix them into a parlay...
I really wish they’d learn how to adjust the odds on those heavy favorites more aggressively as kickoff approaches... It only makes sense, considering the massive amount of money being poured into those bets...

You have the freedom to set your own handicap lines and point totals whenever you see fit... 👍

Bet365 beat everyone to the punch by dropping their World Cup bonus first, offering a 100% match on deposits up to $100. So, if you drop $100, you're looking at an extra $100 in bonus credits, bringing your total balance to $200... though obviously, if you deposit less, that amount just gets doubled accordingly.
It’s a decent enough online sportsbook. Their odds are acceptable, even if they tend to shave them down a bit on actual match days... I suppose their main drawbacks might be the somewhat limited live betting selection and fewer available markets compared to some of the massive global players, yet they still offer everything you'd expect from a major US operator like DraftKings or BetMGM...

I played there recently. I guess the selection is decent and it seems tailored to the US market, plus everything is in English and the odds are okay... overall, it seems fine to me.
The only issue was they capped my Barca handicap bet at around $82 last round.
Maybe it was just because that game seemed like a lock.
If you're planning on betting big, though, I suppose there are probably smarter options out there.

Is there any way to play through an online sportsbook without all those annoying money blockers... just using a standard zero-balance account where they can pull or drop funds whenever... and what’s the lowest I can bet

Of course you can. I just use my credit card for everything.
I actually have a blog in my signature that covers online sportsbooks and how deposits and withdrawals work, so maybe check that out if you're interested. Peace.
