So, during a... let's call it a "fun" night out where I totally lost my balance (read: wiped out like a total amateur 😬 ), I ended up with this massive bruise on my hip. It’s roughly the size of Texas, and it’s a nasty bloody purple mess. πŸ™„ Honestly, I look like I just stepped out of a light sparring session with Mike Tyson. It hurts like hell and I don't think it's going away until... πŸ™‚well, maybe by some ugly... πŸ™‚ Tuesday. 😲 Seriously though, this thing is easily four inches wide...

Any advice? I don't care what it looks like, I just need the pain to stop.

You can try rubbing on some heparin gel, or just spray it to help things fade awayβ€”you'll probably see all sorts of rainbow colors popping up 😁

I actually ended up with a nasty bruise on my forearm recently after I tried to climb over a wall at the gym and got stuck in the restroom... 😁

Thanks, Casey Palmer5... 😘

I'm slathering this heparin gel on my bruise like it's butter on toast 😍 , but man, it just looks worse by the minute πŸ™‚

And honestly, your bathroom struggles just make me feel better about my own clumsiness πŸ˜‰ you know how it is, yup, I'm definitely not the only one 😬

If you can get your hands on some Polar Ice, give that a shot... though if you've managed to tweak it a bit too hard, you might be feeling the sting for at least a week 😁

I'm actually wondering if there’s any way to make bruises fade faster... specifically the colors...

Anyway, I bruise like a peach.... and when you factor in my general clumsiness... it’s a total disaster.

Summers are the absolute worst for me... I always end up with at least two bruises on my legs... (usually from close encounters with coffee tables or chairs...)
Basically, they don't really hurt... unless I actually crash into something head-on...

Hmm... the pain will likely subside on its own relatively quickly, but that discoloration... oof. I dealt with a massive bruise on my leg onceβ€”thanks to a bug biteβ€”and it took at least two full weeks to finally fade away. β˜•

Man, I totally fell into a ditch once and ended up with this MASSIVE bruise on my thigh. It hurt like hell... I didn't even bother putting any ointment or anything on it, and it just took about three weeks to clear up.😁..it went through all those crazy rainbow colors, too.😁..Honestly, just leave it alone and let it do its thing. You could probably show it off to people if you wantedβ€”everyone I showed mine to had some kind of reaction.😲..😁

You really ought to consider your attitudeπŸ˜‰ Just imagine if you woke up with a broken noseβ€”specifically one belonging to someone I see staring back at me in the mirror every single morning 😳. You’d have all those colorful bruises blooming under your eyes, paired with a massive, swollen mess of a face 😱.

😁 ..I haven't actually broken mine, but I took a nasty hit once... it didn't even look that bad, but man, it hurttttt... honestly, it still hurts sometimes..😲

Yeah... I honestly can't remember ever feeling a pain quite like that, before or since.😲
But you know, the ache fades way faster than a bruise does... when those rainbow colors start showing up, there’s really nothing you can do about it. 😒

Hannah Ward11, you're my hero πŸ‘ I’m constantly covered in bruises... while every other woman is out showing off their legs all summer, I'm just stuck here with scraped kneesπŸ™„

Thomas Mendoza5 said:try some Biofreeze if you have it lying around... at least it'll dull the pain for a week if you took a nasty hit😁

Got that too. 😁 Gonna mix it with some heparin cream...

😍

Personally, I’ve always been kind of drawn to things like scars and stretch marksβ€”there's just something about them.😁

Just giving you guys an update on how things are going... the smaller one is turning yellow with purple spots now, and the bigger one has this cool inch-wide yellow ring around it. Next up should be the purple parts, but the center still looks like raw ground beef. πŸ™‚

Honestly, ladies... I’d say you’re all a bit clueless πŸ˜‰, but here I am, staring at this dark purple bruise on my shin and wondering what the hell I actually did to earn this 😁

If you want some "comfort"... I earned my spot next to stars like LeBron James because I took my hits while staying on my feet.

Oops, my finger slipped and hit enter way too early... let me actually finish that thought. I was out skiing, wiped out on a patch of black ice, and ended up with this massive bruise. It was huge, dark, and painful, and it spent over a month cycling through every color in the rainbow. Does anyone actually know if there's a way to make a bruise fade faster?

I’ve been handed hundreds of folk remedies and homemade ointment recipes for cellulite... I’ve tried some, and I’ve even whipped up my own (usually involving ingredients that sound delicious, like raspberry jam blended with crushed walnuts πŸ˜‚), but most of the time I just ended up eating them. 🀷

Heparin creams do nothing for me, and neither does iceβ€”ice might take the swelling down, but the discoloration stays. Garlic, red onion, shallots, or whatever else you can think ofβ€”I’m almost embarrassed to admit how much of that junk I’ve rubbed onto my purple legs. A word of advice : don't let anyone talk you into using some concoction of brandy infused with garlic for 48 hours... I spent days scrubbing myself and I could still smell that nightmare coming off me!!!
