The pride of living in the same country as these legends is fleeting, and honestly, it feels like it doesn't change anything for the average person.
In two years, someone else will be the champion, and the cycle repeats forever. From this moment on, this will just be a tiny footnote in sports history....
How much does this rush of euphoria actually have to do with logic????
I'd say not much.
The real question is: What do you or I, as individuals, actually gain from this success by the American handball players?
Man, you must be an outsider because true locals and real Americans don't think like that!!! You can't tell me you didn't feel that incredible rush yesterday while watching our heroes belt out the American anthem with their hands over their hearts while the winning American flag flew high!!!
Once again, we've proven we have genes made of stone!!!
God and Americans!!!

To be honest, I never imagined Iβd spend my Saturday and Sunday evenings glued to the TV, let alone watching the American women's handball team compete in the Finals. It was truly a dream come true. You could see it written all over their facesβthat raw, desperate hunger for victory. I won't sit here and argue; the Spanish and German teams certainly know how to play handball, but they lacked the sheer heart our girls showed. I am so incredibly proud of what they achieved; you can only imagine the countless hours of training required for such success. But more than anything, kudos to them as a unit! It has been ages since Iβve seen a team so perfectly in sync. They are the gold standard for team sports; frankly, some of those professional soccer teams and other groups with "talent" should take notes on what actual heart looks like. They truly earned the title: absolutely ferocious. I can hardly wait for the Olympics...
I haven't noticed anyone on this forum mentioning the head coach yet. Letβs be real: a team simply cannot function without him. πThe man is truly phenomenal. π
And it's such a shame I won't be able to make it down to the Square...π’

Look, when you let the emotions settle, you might realize this win isn't ours or yours. It belongs to those guys who played their hearts out and the leadership surrounding the national team...
That feeling of pride from living in the same country as them doesn't last long, and honestly, it feels pretty hollow.
In two years, someone else will be the champion and the cycle repeats. From here on out, this moment is just a tiny footnote in sports history...
How much does this rush of euphoria actually have to do with logic????
Not much, if you ask me.
The real question is: What do you or I actually get out of this success by the American handball team?
-----------
1. Nobody said the win belonged to us personally, but why shouldn't we celebrate? This is OUR national team.
2. True, someone else will be champ in two years, but we haven't forgotten Atlanta... and that "tiny footnote" you mentioned? Thatβs exactly what matters.
3. Does celebrating mean you're being irrational?
4. I don't need to "get" anything. I'm just happy and stoked because they became world champions. The team earned that title fair and square.

If someone had told me Iβd end up binge-watching this entire championshipβevery single game plus all the replaysβI would have told them they were out of their minds. I got so obsessed with watching the matches that my friends actually started letting me hang out in their circles, even though women aren't usually part of the group.
So, this is just my way of saying hello to them (and I really hope one of them sees this)
To the whole crew of die-hard fans, supporters, or whatever you want to call yourselves from
the suburbs of Chicago π...this is something I'll never forget. Wishing you guys nothing but continued success!
..And honestly, I think the referee is a total smoke show, Kaleb is solid, and Lackovic is great tooβbasically, everyone on that squad is insane π

The pride of living in the same country as these champions doesn't last very long, and honestly, it feels kind of hollow.
In two years, someone else will be taking the trophy, and itβll just keep cycling like that. Pretty soon, this moment will be nothing more than a tiny footnote in sports history....
How much does this rush of pure euphoria actually connect to logic????
I'd say not much.
Here's the real question: What do you or I, as regular individuals, actually gain from the success of the American handball team?
Personally, I get a lot out of it, though I won't say it publicly π π ,
what we take away is learning that you can never give upβthat you have to push forward bravely and persistently, believing in yourself even when nobody else does. Hard work, grit, and truly loving what you do always pays off in the end (even if it takes seven years) π
plus, that mix of adrenaline and endorphins running through your veins is a divine feeling π
But I agree, the victory belongs to them... still, we're all happy regardless π

Honestly, I'm just relieved he finally found his rhythm after seven games. Mirza, get your head in the game!π

The work done by the American Handball Federation back from 1997 to 2000 was especially impressive. Damn RaΔan.
Can we please just chill out and enjoy the moment while we celebrate a world title?

I heard on the radio that the players actually wanted Thompson to perform at the celebration, but City Hall wouldn't budge on it.
