Guys, stay far away from anything involving Palo Alto. That guy hangs out way too much with Corgan. I mean, he’s even playing with that band of his... it's never going to end well.

Still, I’d love to catch him live. So, fingers crossed, I guess... though I'm skeptical.

Oldham is going to do this tour without the full band. Man, I really want to see it. His records have been sitting on Spotify for ages now, definitely worth a download if you can find them.

Tyler Grant86 said:But honestly, Robin Booth makes a fair point: you can't just walk into Palo Alto and expect things to work without having some serious groundwork laid out first...😁 😁 😁

I mean, yeah, but that wasn't because he didn't know what he was doing... that was literally just the user's manual for that absolute beast of a synth!!!!😉 😁 😁

haha... remember when they played that encore where he didn't even know the chords? He just kept staring at the bassist to catch the progression—then tried to follow along on that insane keyboard setup... haha

heh....man, who could ever forget that one🙄 😁 ?
Oldham and Palo Alto are basically fighting for the title of the funniest concert ever...but honestly, forget Oldham, Palo Alto was the absolute star of the show that night!!!

Tyler Grant86 said:So, what’s the verdict on Mark Olson... should we bring him on?

Hey guys, don't mess with my emotions here...
OF COURSE we need to get him—if you guys can make it happen.
And Jayhawks too, if there's any way.

Plus Palo Alto
and Oldham

I'm voting yes for the whole damn crew.

This is the official title:

mark olson & the creekdippers
feat.victoria williams

Right now, they're only playing shows up in Northern Europe—but if they decide to head down toward Austria, we might actually get lucky and see them here...😉

I suppose Marc Olson and Victoria Williams are playing in Vienna on March 30th. I wonder if it might be possible to arrange a concert at KSET; it would likely be quite wonderful.

Steven Hernandez9, your handle reminds me of one of my favorite American bands, "My Buddy Moose." Am I getting warm?

Man, they're already playing in Vienna on the 30th. It’s basically our turn now.
Also, just a heads up—Friends of Dean Martinez are in Vienna on the 26th, and The Flaming Lips are there on the 1st.

We need to get something booked for KSET🙏

crimsonjackal8, I was wondering if you might have any connection to that post-punk group "Second Theme," which happens to be my absolute favorite. If you do, I heard that my buddy Steven Hernandez9 is actually looking for a keyboardist.😈

Sorry, but that was ages ago. These days, if I'm playing, I'm playing at a high level—really high. 😁 Besides, they probably already have someone—whether they're local or not. 🙂

Friends of Dean Martinez

I’ve been going back and forth in negotiations with him, but we just can't seem to get our schedules to align! They were looking at playing here on either March 26th or 27th, but unfortunately, we're already fully booked over at KSET during those dates...

Heh... I'm happy to beat Frank Wright14 to the punch—since he's the one in our little community tasked with tracking everything related to the US and Germany—to let you all know that Mark Olson will actually be playing at KSET on March 31st. I’m genuinely curious to see how many of you will make the trek from San Francisco 😉

I mean, if you want a confirmation of that claim—that Olson and his lovely wife will be arriving within the next few days—let's just go ahead and pencil in a 99% certainty for March 31, 2003, so we can all stay put and avoid the whole trip to Beck...
Honestly, KSET is absolutely legendary!

Alright, experts🙂 🙂 🙂 !!! We should probably just rent a bus. My only real concern is that this news caught Roger Jones5 completely off guard, so he'll likely end up overdoing it with the beers tonight. And he has work tomorrow.

Looks like Frank and Steven Hernandez9 are planning to terrorize the listening room this Friday along with Olson 😉 Honestly, Frank’s gotten so worked up that he decided to just buy some wine and pass out at home—even though he’s got work early tomorrow morning. I might make the trip out to Washington, D.C., myself, if only so I could hear what on earth these guys are actually listening to 😁

We can't let that happen, crimsonjackal8—though honestly, we could always head to Washington, D.C. ourselves just to stir the pot a little! 😁

Just dropping this here so that Queen thread doesn't hog the spotlight at the top of the feed! Apparently, Harigana is dropping a new Calexico track, but I won't be giving it my first listen just yet.
