Frank Wright14 said:Just confirming what was said—Olson and his lovely wife are gonna be here any day now. Let’s just mark down March 31st, 2003, as a near certainty since they're coming to us and we won't even have to travel to Beck....
man, KSET is the absolute best !!!!!!!!!!!!

hats off to you👍 👍

Nathan Thomas88 said:Lmao, they're probably coming all the way from San Francisco just for this!

haha 🤮

Right now we've got 6 people locked in—but honestly, if Lee Hale and Robert Fischer showed up, it would be absolutely mental if we didn't have Olson and his whole crew there in full force.

And as far as I know, there are a few other little circles in the city into this kind of music, so I'm pretty sure they'll show up too.

Give me a break, Nathan Thomas88. A lot of people might show up. I suppose you could make the trip too, since a quick drive to Washington, D.C. isn't exactly an impossible feat.

Just got an email, and it looks like we actually pulled it off—it's basically a 99.9% certainty at this point.
for 03/31/03.

Look, we all get what we deserve. Honestly, you could probably use a little help too, because a trip to Washington, D.C. isn't just some grand adventure for one person.

Exactly! As if anyone could actually manage to fill up an entire train car like that!!!
You absolutely cannot miss out on Olson!!!

Honestly, it looks like I might end up part of that tiny little clique of losers myself!

Just got an offer for an Oldham solo tour... I’m going to try to slot him in the day after Olson so you guys can spend two days in Chicago instead. 😉

By the way—Oldham specifically asked to play only in the States, despite getting offers from Toronto and Mexico City... clearly he actually enjoyed his last show here.

I suppose if you could arrange for Tom Waits to play the day after Oldham, we might find ourselves spending three days in Chicago rather.🙂 👍 Well done, Kset!

Heh... unlikely we'll ever see Waits in NYC, but at least Marc Ribot is hitting town ten days earlier...

KSET, you guys absolutely crushed it! That is how you do things properly. Honestly, if I were running the Department of the Interior,
I’d make sure to give you all a massive bonus. I mean, seriously—what musician wouldn't dream of performing in front of an audience with that kind of
energy? It was such a special, unforgettable night.

Everyone’s raving about it, and I guess I am too—I just hope my finals don't fall right on top of the release date. At the same time, I'm not exactly thrilled with the new Billy the Kid. It feels a bit overproduced to me, so I might have to side with Tyler Grant86 on this one; after The Brothers Grimm, I just wasn't expecting this kind of sound or live show.

That’s exactly why I’m looking forward to his solo debut—his guitar work and vocals alone are more than enough to carry the show...😉

Jose Watson663, given what Oldham's manager is actually like—we might just have to fire him...😠

Cop 663, an opportunity has opened up for Olson over in Chicago around mid-April...😉

I recently caught a show featuring Olson and Williamson down in New Orleans. They were honestly fantastic—it felt like this intimate family performance held around a campfire, which, combined with Victoria’s incredible jazz vocals, made for a concert experience unlike anything else I've ever attended.

On another note, has anyone else had a chance to listen to Neda, the brother of Oldham? He’s actually quite good.
