Interesting...
https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/a...ysis/6641069/?

So, if I’m reading this article right and it’s actually accurate, not a single one of the AM mechanics was even there during that fuel extraction attempt. Just the team principal, 😕

And funny how they don't have the right to complain about it either...
They can't even install a new pump if the old one dies, unless the FIA gives them the green light after the fact and nobody else complains (which, obviously, no other teams will 🤣)
Honestly, I don't see how AM wins this one. Unless maybe they bring in a crane and flip the car upside down just to get the fuel out, 😬
Either way, it's a mess...

If they had actually made it back to the pits, they probably wouldn't have even inspected it at all.😁

Sebastian Vettel was moved back to 2nd place today...

Last night when I went to bed, Kimi Räikkönen had 1 point.
This morning when I woke up, Kimi Räikkönen has 0 points.

Life is still good.

Except it’s not. It’s just a conspiracy to make sure Lujo picks up an extra point, haha.

Where did I ever say this was a conspiracy??

Read it again if it isn't clicking.

Max is sitting on an 8-point lead, but let’s be real—he hasn't even finished two races properly because of Mercedes and Goodyear, plus he had to limp through one more race in a total wreck thanks to Mercedes... honestly, you'd have to be blind not to see who's taking the next World Championship.

Lando Norris, obviously. Who else?
That's why Valtteri Bottas is already trying to take him out preemptively. 😁

The penalty for that hack is a joke. Honestly, they should have handed out a full race ban.
Having three drivers ruin the race like that is just pathetic. Even if Mercedes was behind it, it’s way over the line.

Since Sergio Perez lost his power unit, he’s likely looking at a grid penalty at the US Grand Prix. It gets even uglier when you consider how tight the budget cap is right now.

Hasn't he gone ages without scoring a single point?

There’s something seriously sketchy going on with Massi and the stewards here. 🙄

When Russell pulled out of the pits, he ended up cutting past a whole line of cars because of where the Williams pit box is located.
Acting like a top-tier team, Williams immediately told him to give the positions back, otherwise, he was basically guaranteed a penalty. So, Russell gave the spots back to everyone except Kimi...

And Massi, being the genius he is, decided it was all good. Apparently, since they went through the trouble of giving spots back to most of the field, he just didn't bother reporting it to the stewards. Just let it slide.

I'm watching the replay now and there's another thing...
A bunch of drivers were called in for questioning regarding radio conduct during the formation lap, but Russell's engineer tells him to dive into the pits for tires instead.
So, it wasn't even his call—and if I'm reading this right, that's an automatic penalty.

I honestly don't get why they're looking the other way for him. Is he already signed to Mercedes? Is Massi just practicing how to dodge penalties for Mercedes drivers ahead of time? 🙂

The weirdest part is that it wasn't even penalized or looked at.
Meanwhile, they're threatening people over wearing certain t-shirts or whatever nonsense. Absolute idiocy.
Bottas and Stroll get practically a slap on the wrist, while other drivers will definitely end up eating penalties later in the season because those two probably trashed a ton of engines and gearboxes.
Plus, teams could get wrecked by the budget cap because of all those wasted repair costs.
Even old man Binotto suggested that for stuff like this, you should hit the teams with massive fines to compensate everyone else, just so they actually start paying attention.

The officiating definitely lacks consistency because they too often treat situations as isolated incidents rather than following a clear pattern, though I wouldn't go so far as to say they're biased toward anyone—it's just that the rulebook itself is poorly written and feels pretty outdated.

ruggedhawk20 said:Please—do look up the current F1 points system before posting. It would save you some embarrassment.

The gap between second and third place is 18-15=3
While the gap between ninth and tenth is 2-1=1

So, by way of this disqualification, Lewis effectively gained 3-1=2 more points than Max did.

Do you honestly think I spend my evenings crunching complex equations? I'm hardly the math nerd type.

Give it another read if it’s still not clicking.

I only threw in the "conspiracy" bit for poetic license—just a little flair.☕

Since you're bringing up how only the influencer gets lucky, let's not forget everyone else who snagged an extra point behind Vettel.

Not even close. They aren't biased, and if you want to talk about impartiality, look at Warwick.😁

Not everyone behind Vettel got an extra point... why is that so hard to grasp?🤔
For crying out loud, this is elementary school math.🤦

Hamilton and Sainz got 3 points more...
Latifi, Alonso, Gasly, and Yuki got 2 points more,
and Russell, Max, Kimi, and Ricciardo got 1 point more...

Ruining a race for three different drivers like this is just pathetic. Even if it involves Mercedes, it's way too much.

Since Pérez's power unit blew, he’ll likely face a grid penalty in Belgium. It gets even uglier when you consider how tight those budget caps are right now.

Pérez was already on his second unit, so he won't take a hit at Spa, but now Mercedes and Red Bull have essentially solved their engine issues by using four units.☕

Since you're insisting that only the influencer gets lucky, ignoring everyone else who managed to snag an extra point behind Vettel.

Who actually gained the most critical points in the championship fight?

Forget Russell; he couldn't care less if he picks up two points or four. But for the influencer, does it matter if they miss out by three? That's exactly what I was getting at. Do you finally see it?

For crying out loud—it's literally elementary school math. 🤦

Hamilton and Sainz walked away with an extra 3 points—not that anyone's counting.
Latifi, Alonso, Gasly, and Yuki all walked away with an extra 2 points—nice.
So, Russell, Max, Räikkönen, and Ricciardo all snagged an extra point... lucky bastards.

He wrote it even worse—man clearly doesn't understand basic math.

Leave the poor guy alone.

Screw Russell—he doesn't care if he grabs 2 points or 4. But for some influencer, whether they lose 3 points or gain them—THAT is what I’m talking about. You get me now??

Imagine if Holandez loses the championship by a single point!

Losing the whole thing just because they didn't give Aston Martin a little wink
