Recommendations wanted!

Hey,
So, I’m already running a Fritz! router and I'm looking to beef up my signal with a repeater. I'm trying to figure out which of these two paths is the smarter move, though I'm definitely open to a third option if someone knows a better way. :P
To be honest, the performance of my current Fritz! setup caught me off guard, which is why I'm weighing these specific options:

My gut feeling is to go with the router, mostly because you just get more bang for your buck in terms of features and functionality.

Personally, I’d suggest going with a router instead. You can always set it up as an access point if you need to, and plus, having those four LAN ports handy is such a lifesaver when you suddenly realize you've got a couple of extra devices that need a stable, wired connection!
