I get that, but there's a difference between having hope and spending days acting all cocky, posting about how you're definitely gonna crush us because you think your national team is top-tier alongside ours, when realistically, only Kirk would even stand a chance on our roster.

The Mexicans basically beat themselves. Their keepers couldn't stop anything—they practically handed over easy goals and penalties on a silver platter. Honestly, losing by just two points is almost a decent result for them given how badly they played.
Canada is going to get knocked out by the French without much trouble, especially since those guys will be playing at half strength by then.

Anyway, looking at our national squad, we really need to pull in some kids from Metallurg and Vardar. Our club scene is solid right now, and once this current group moves on, we'll have a great young core ready to go. Lin has built a hell of a generation for us!

Man, you could tell how much this game took out of those Canadian players emotionally. It was heavy stuff. Nowhere was it more obvious than when their captain, Uros Zorman, stepped into the mixed zone and just let loose: "We’re dedicating this win to all those armchair experts back in Canada who just sit on their couches acting like they know everything." He followed that Sentence with a massive swear word and stormed off to the locker room, never showing his face again.

And honestly, that guy's been stuck as captain forever. It makes you wonder if he's actually the one running the show or if it's Denic?? 🙂
