I put together a build on this link. Since I already have some parts, where's the best place to hunt for deals on the rest?

I've already got the Intel, the hard drive, the motherboard, and the case. 😁

So, I just need to upgrade my RAM, the graphics card, and the power supply...

1 x AMD Radeon R9 270
1 x Fortron 500W Power Supply, Hyper, PPA5005003, 12cm fan
1 x DDR3 8GB (1x8GB) Kingston Fury, 1866MHz, CL10

Total:$840 Micro Center free shipping!
If you don't have a decent cooler, you seriously need to grab at least this one unless you’re looking to overclock because that stock cooler that comes with the processor is garbage—it'll be loud as hell and your CPU will just overheat.

I’d probably lean toward this setup instead. I think you get a better Intel chip for less money, plus the graphics card is basically the same and the cooler seems a bit more solid. Oh, and the power supply is a huge step up.

AMD Radeon R9 270, 2GB GDDR5
Transcend MEM DDR3L 8GB 1600MHz TS
EVGA SuperNOVA 450W
Raijintek CPU Cooler BlackRock - 92mm

Total: $842(+$13 shipping) Best Buy

Oh, and heads up—the PSU in the link is wrong. I'm actually running a Corsair CV450.

You couldn't possibly have meant putting a $33 in a rig with high-end parts like this, right?

We figured the power supply was junk right away, so we swapped it out for better, higher-quality units that come with a 5-year warranty. We also went with a single 8GB stick of RAM instead of two 4GB sticks. Since that motherboard only has two slots, using one stick leaves you an open slot for an upgrade later on; if you use both 4GB sticks now, you're basically maxed out. Besides, whether it's one stick or two doesn't really make a difference anyway.

So basically, you DON'T HAVE a power supply.😁

Thanks for the tip on the RAM. As for the power supply, I had no clue if it was garbage or not, which is why I mentioned mine was different. You guys clearly know your stuff better than I do—I don't really dive into all the technical details—but thanks again!🙏🙏🙏
