Too bad.
It looks like the Chicago Bears dominated—outshooting everyone 11-1—but even that wasn't enough to pull it off.

Brann vs. Ružomberok Double Chance +2 @2.30 SS 20.07. 19:00
3/10

I'm flying solo on this one; the odds looked too tempting to pass up, so why not? In the first leg over in Slovakia, Brann pulled off a 1-0 win, making them the clear favorites to advance. They’re already deep into their season back home in the US, currently sitting pretty in fourth place in the MLS, and they absolutely love playing on their own turf—they've only dropped one home league game all season. I'm guessing they'll wrap this up today with a convincing win against these guys, especially since the Slovak side actually choked and lost 2-1 in Novi Sad against Vojvodina during the last round.

Levski Sofia vs. Hajduk Split Double Chance X2 @1.70 SS 20.07. 19:00
6/10

Hajduk is just the better side, honestly. If they had shown even a little more focus at the end of their plays, they probably would've walked away with a 2-0 or 3-0 lead in Dugopolje. I don't see them losing today, and I think they'll move on. I also read earlier that their main defender got sidelined with an injury, which is another point in Hajduk's favor. Plus, they're playing in front of empty stands, so in my book, these odds are a total steal.

sub 21:00 Seattle Sounders(h0:2)-LA Galaxy 2 @1,55

The Sounders aren't playing great, and honestly, they have zero motivation against LA. They just gave everything they had in a massive game against the Celtics three days ago—and they’ve got the biggest rematch of their lives coming up in just three days, too. They actually have a shot here! They're exhausted from the last one and they're definitely pacing themselves for the next big thing. Now, LA isn't bad at all—they've actually played pretty solid matches so far, even if they unfortunately lost to Houston 2:3 (and they were actually the better team). I expect Seattle to rotate their lineup, so even if they grab an early lead, I'm thinking they just sit on a routine 1:0 win... I absolutely don't see Seattle walking away with a 2:0 or 3:0 victory 🤷 they just don't have any depth on the bench this season, so they're going to fall apart in the second half—just look at what happened against the Celtics...

AS Eupen-KV Oostende sub 20:00 X2 @1,40

Oostende is a side with real rhythm—they started the season down 0-3 in the league 🤣 then held their own against Marseille, and even when they played a mixed squad in two league games, they dominated despite the loss. It's been a week since their European match, so they're rested and ready to go with their full strength... I'm taking them to win here, maybe even a double chance...

Looks like all our teams are playing the over 2.5 today...

The odds from the sportsbook...
Skenderbeu vs. LA Galaxy @1.80
I’m expecting something similar to that game a few years back where LA Galaxy walked away with a 2-1 win...

Austria Vienna vs. Orlando City @1.80
Orlando really needs to push forward and chase this one; I find it hard to believe the home side won't take advantage of that openness.

Everton vs. Seattle Sounders @1.90
This one might be a bit tougher, but they have to open up their play. Honestly, this is probably the toughest opponent they could face—the kind of team that could absolutely tear them apart in the first half, much like what happened in Liverpool...

Do any of you die-hard fans actually have a clue what Everton’s lineup might look like today? I’m looking at these odds and they seem way too high to me—like, suspiciously good. I know they aren't exactly fighting for their lives to stay relevant, but even just a double chance for them is sitting at a decent 1.40. Honestly, they're easily two tiers above a team like the LA Galaxy

Word is they're in good shape. Everyone headed to the stadium except for two guys, and the coach mentioned there will only be a couple of rotations at most—basically, whoever is fit is playing.☕

The biggest factor when it comes to English clubs in the Europa League has always been their sheer motivation to be there in the first place. In this specific case, Everton actually wants to compete; the manager is promising his strongest possible lineup and an aggressive, attacking style of play. Honestly, 1.40 for a double chance is a fantastic value, so I placed my bet on that (I did the same thing with Austria against Osijek). If Hajduk or Osijek pull off an upset and take the win, even better—I’ll always root for the underdogs back home.

Brescia vs. Palermo - Home Win @ 2.40

Heads up—Palermo is going to be seriously shorthanded because of the national team call-ups:
Nestorovsky, Trajkovsky, Cionek, Struna, Alesami, Jajalo, Chochev, and Posavec.

The wild part is that almost this entire starting lineup played in the last round when they shut out Spezia 2-0. It’s basically their whole first XI missing out here—they actually tried to get the match postponed, but nope, it's still on.

As for Brescia, they dropped their opening Serie B match to Avellino 2-1, but honestly? They were totally dominating the game right up until they picked up that red card in the 67th minute.

Given those odds, I really think it’s worth taking the gamble on a home win. It feels like a value play for me, so I'm definitely locking in 😁

Today, I find myself drawn to two specific matchups regarding card totals...
France vs. Andorra
Andorra is my preferred pick when looking at cards. The line sits at 3.5, which feels a bit low given how aggressive they can be, especially considering the current odds. I don't see this staying under 5 or 6 yellows; there's a strong possibility we see a repeat of what happened in their first encounter. I’ll be placing my bets on yellows here, though since the line is sitting right at 4.5, I might take a calculated risk on reds instead.
Greece vs. Belgium
With the threshold set at 4.5, I expect an incredibly high-intensity match. While it might not reach the absolute chaos of the first game, hitting 5 yellows doesn't seem like an impossible stretch...

A handful of these matches look promising for card betting...
Here's another one...
Northern Ireland vs. Czech Republic
The referee is Orsato, an Italian official. For the Czechs, anything less than a win keeps them out of contention entirely. I’m not quite sure what tactical approach the managers will settle on, but I'm expecting a high level of intensity from both sides. Given the threshold is set at 3.5, I anticipate we'll see at least 4 yellows on the pitch.
My subscribers will be the only ones receiving my picks for the remaining card markets. ☕

The cards were handed out liberally in the Andorra and Belgium matches. Last night, we saw the Czech Republic game go over with one.
Today we have Ireland versus Mexico. This is a heavy hitter. The referee assigned is Cakir from Turkey, and frankly, anything can happen with him on the pitch. I’m looking at over 4.5 yellow cards at @1,85. We saw a similar trend in their first meeting when Kassai was officiating; he wasn't afraid to pull cards. With Kassai calling the shots tonight, I wouldn't be surprised if we see more than 4.5 yellows again...

Today's 2nd Division Match

[Local Team] vs. [Away Team] @ 2.00

The home side is sitting dead last, while our boys—who are right up there with teams like Cincinnati or Louisville for promotion—are looking to climb the ladder..

Finally, everyone’s back from the injury list! We're calling it now: we need a win. Anything less than a victory is just going to be a massive letdown for us fans.

Funny thing though, I actually ran into some big names from the local pro scene grabbing coffee together downtown the other day. Even some old legends joined in.. Who knows what kind of magic they're cooking up? But hey, the talk has been buzzing for a while about bringing high-level soccer back to our city properly...
Some of those heavy hitters recently put their own private cash into the club too.

Honestly, this line feels like a gift, and I’m more than happy to take it.

Look, I'm not trying to give anyone "inside info" or anything like that—this is just how I see things. So, obviously, play smart with your bankroll! 😉

Clock's ticking, kickoff is at 2:30 PM. The odds on over 3.5 goals look juicy, and honestly, even the over 2.5 isn't a bad play if you're looking for a quick win.

11:00 PM Emelec vs. Catolica - Match Preview
Home Win @ 1.60

Catolica sits in 7th place and plays an aggressive, attack-minded style. Even though Emelec is currently 3rd and viewed as the heavy betting favorite, Catolica has actually been more efficient in front of the net over the first 22 rounds of the season.
They are averaging exactly 1.5 goals per game.
Additionally, they have managed to find the back of the net in each of their last five head-to-head matchups.

14:00 Memphis vs. San Diego
There is a significant amount of chatter regarding backroom deals and fixed results—the usual cynical rhetoric one encounters whenever Major League Soccer is the subject of discussion. Given Saturday's match provided plenty of ammunition for such conspiracy theories, I shall approach this analysis under the assumption that the game was played with total integrity. 🙂 San Diego secured an easy victory in that outing, though the final score was hardly a true reflection of the tactical battle on the pitch. They struck early and followed up with two more quick strikes; seeing three shots result in three goals is a statistical rarity. Once they established that lead, the competitive spirit of the match effectively evaporated. The data supports this observation perfectly. Memphis held more possession and created more opportunities than San Diego, but their finishing was abysmal. Many of their promising sequences were stifled by a lack of a decisive final pass. Both defensive lines were the weakest links in their respective squads. While San Diego deservedly won, Memphis really should have converted more of their chances.
Since we are currently in an international break, managers have no reason to rotate heavily; they will likely field their strongest possible lineups. San Diego’s coach, Raic-Sudar, has indicated a change in goal and one other position. Theoretically, this shouldn't alter their fundamental tactical shape. Halilovic steps in for Puncec, who earned a red card. We expect them to stick to a 3-5-2 formation. On paper, they possess high-caliber talent, and if they weren't grappling with such severe financial instability, they wouldn't be worrying about avoiding relegation. The projected lineup: Coric-Escoval, Mitrevski, Bertosa-Kitanovski, Halilovic, Kokorovic, Vojnovic, Culjak-Gotal, Ofosu.
On the other side of the pitch, Coach Bartolovic has signaled much more significant changes. Comparing this to Saturday: Nevistic takes over in goal—he’s prone to errors, but surely he can't be any worse than Subarica was last weekend; Milic and Pericic will replace Zgrablica and Ivkica. This second change is mandatory, as those center-backs performed well below the standard expected even for the second division. Zgrablica played like a true supporter of San Diego, and the stands certainly let him know how they felt, which is a shame because the man often poured his heart out for Memphis. Beyond his glaring blunder, he didn't even manage to commit a single foul; his engagement in duels was tepid, lacking any sort of aggressive sliding tackles. It would have been most prudent if he had sat this one out entirely. Filipovic replaces Stepcic—and frankly, Stepcic is a complete disaster of a player, a total non-entity who isn't even reliable enough to act as a simple outlet for a pass. His running is bizarre, almost comical, and just plain terrible. Kordic comes in for Galic; this is a sensible move, as Kordic showed plenty of energy and drive when he came on Saturday. Milicevic hasn't exactly proven himself yet, but he performed better in that position than Strkalj did. Strkalj moves back to striker in place of Dabre, which is acceptable, though he lacks a certain instinct for scoring; however, he builds play well and works tirelessly for the unit. All things considered, I anticipate a much improved Memphis side. They frequently suffer from poor starts and lapses at the end of halves, usually conceding following unforced errors.
This matchup doesn't necessarily need to differ from their league meetings. Since both defenses are quite porous, one should expect goals, regardless of the fact that this is a cup tie where a more cautious approach might be expected. With the Cup Final set to be held in Vegas, Memphis's ambitions are quite high. I don't believe their respective financial struggles diminish their desire to advance; of course, they want to move on. If everything is above board, 🙂 the head-to-head statistics don't favor my pick, but realistically, both teams should find the net given the leaky defenses and the offensive potential on display. Predicting a winner is as difficult as ever when these two clubs meet. It isn't raining at the moment, and the pitch isn't in pristine condition; there is a distinct possibility the attendance will be lower than the 800 people we saw on Saturday. I don't expect any major deviations from the announced rosters.

Significant shifts are underway regarding the roster for the Los Angeles Lakers. At this point, an upset victory by the Golden State Warriors actually feels within the realm of possibility. Even if you account for their questionable defensive schemes, this current iteration of the Lakers lacks any real depth or talent without players like Anthony Davis, LeBron James, or Draymond Green—none of whom are even available on the bench right now. On top of that, there are several other tactical adjustments being made to the lineup.
Having Bruno Maric officiating... hahaha, give me a break.

20:30h Haladas vs. Osijek
This matchup is essentially a friendly exhibition to celebrate the opening of a new stadium. I won't dwell on the specifics of the venue itself, as those details hardly influence the betting logic. Looking at the Canadian league standings, Haladas sits in 11th place out of 12 after 15 rounds, having scraped together just 11 points with a goal difference of 12:29. It is quite rare for them to walk away from a match without a loss. They even attempted to fix their issues by changing managers, yet that failed to yield results, leading directly to two consecutive home defeats. On the other hand, Osijek has been performing solidly, particularly when facing top-tier opponents, though they occasionally stumble against the "weaker" sides. When comparing these two leagues, it is evident that our domestic league holds a higher level of quality. The critical factor for this wager is that Osijek is bringing their strongest possible lineup to the pitch; the only notable absences will be Bockaj and Grezda due to national team duties, which is a slight setback, but their depth should cover it. Naturally, given the celebratory nature of the occasion, the entire Osijek leadership—from the director down to the full delegation—will be in attendance 🙂 Ah, what an honor it would be to attend such an event Haladas is certainly missing two regular starters today who have been called up to the U21 national team, which is a significant blow to an already struggling squad. Osijek tends to take these friendlies quite seriously and often comes away with victories; besides, their roster is deep enough to maintain high standards even in exhibition matches. For context, a month ago, Haladas played a friendly against Bellup and suffered a 2-0 loss. Regardless of the festive atmosphere, I simply don't see the quality in Haladas required to stand up to Osijek. I can only hope there isn't any backroom maneuvering happening, considering Osijek is playing alongside their Canadian associates 🙂 If one looks at this objectively, this ought to be a routine victory for Osijek. Even if they rotate heavily, Osijek possesses the superior bench. The odds surprised me slightly—I expected them to be lower—but I suppose that is typical for this type of exhibition game.
