Tatiana, please don't take this personally, but I think you're exaggerating. I had my rhinoplasty with Dr. Stanec about a year ago, and he took incredible care of me—he was extremely patient throughout the whole process. Honestly, being at the Edumed clinic felt like being at home. Even the nurse mentioned was wonderful to me; she actually followed up after the surgery just to check in on my recovery. I don't think Dr. Stanec gets called one of the top plastic surgeons in America for nothing; people clearly recommend him globally as a leader in his field. I never had to wait a single minute for an appointment when I saw him. As for that old scandal (which I looked into myself), Dr. Stanec was ultimately cleared of all the accusations. There was also a survey conducted showing that Dr. Stanec was within his rights to tell a certain lady that performing her surgery in a private facility rather than Dubrava Hospital would naturally cost more. About 90% of the people who took that survey agreed that doctors should be allowed to offer faster options rather than making patients wait one or two years. I truly believe Dr. Stanec is a solid, reliable man, and I’ve heard nothing but good things about him from numerous friends who have undergone various procedures.
Best regards.

I actually had a consultation with him over at Vinogradska Hospital, though I haven't pulled the trigger on the surgery just yet. He seems solid—calm, clearly knows his stuff, and actually takes the time to walk you through everything.

Hmm, okay. As far as the Seattle University Hospital goes, I'm really not that close to it. 😁 It’ll probably take me more than seven hours to get there, but I need to figure out how this actually works. What's the standard procedure here? Do I just go to my primary care doctor, have them write a referral for an ENT, and then they decide where I go? Or am I the one who gets to pick the specialist? 😁

Hey there! How’s it going? 🙂
Does anyone here happen to be from the Miami area—and more importantly—has anyone actually dealt with Dr. Cikojevic before?
So, after messing up my nose, I've finally hit the point where I have to go through with surgery to fix a deviated septum. I just got my scans back today—ugh, the waiting game begins—and it looks like I’ll be sitting on a waitlist for at least six months. Honestly, if everything turns out okay in the end, I don't mind the delay too much... but I can't help but wonder if anyone here has any intel on what the actual process is like? Just trying to get a rough idea of what to expect. I’ve been scrolling through this thread for a bit, and if I’m being totally honest, the whole recovery part is what’s really getting to me. Anyone else been through this? 🙂

I have been scheduled for a septoplasty performed by Dr. Gudelj at the Holy Spirit Hospital.

Does anyone here happen to have any firsthand experience working with him?

Personally, he comes off a bit cold to me—even if he is highly skilled... If anyone else has experience with him, I’d really appreciate any insight you could share.🙂

If you dig through my old posts from last year, you'll see what I mean. He’s easily your best bet over at Firule Hospital. Good luck!

It’s been two weeks since my nose surgery with Dr. Glusac (both functional and cosmetic), and things are still feeling a bit numb—breathing isn't quite 100% yet either. But honestly? I’m thrilled with the new look. It turned out exactly how I envisioned it and just like how he described it during our consult. There's still some swelling to deal with—it'll probably take at least another week before I can say I'm feeling totally back to normal—but I'm already confident the result is perfect! Highly recommend Dr. Glusac!

How many days did you end up staying at the hospital?

I stayed for a week, but that was on my own request. It really just depends on how your recovery goes. I saw others there undergoing the exact same procedure who were only in for 3 to 5 days, while some people, myself included, needed longer.

crimsonpanther8 is still crimsonpanther8, just with a flatter, shorter nose. Thank God I can finally breathe properly now. Plus, I’m sleeping like a baby without all that snoring, 😁 which definitely makes my husband a lot happier too. 🤣
If only someone had suggested this to me sooner. I could have saved myself so much trouble...

I'm glad everything is working out perfectly for you! I still have five days left until my next appointment, and I'm really hoping my nose finally starts behaving 😁
