Now I’ve got this feeling like my nose is drifting to the right again, though I'm still pretty swollen so I can't be certain. I won't know for sure until I see the doctor in the morning... if something actually shifted, is it possible they can just straighten it out now while it's still fresh, or am I just talking nonsense here?!

Honestly, go see the specialist who performed your Operation. I have a friend who took a heavy hit from a ball almost two years after her own surgery; it hurt like crazy for a second, and her septum ended up shifting. She waited three whole months before getting checked out, and she ended up needing a second surgery. The doctor told her that if she had come in immediately, they could have just used nasal tampons for a day and called it a day.

It doesn't really matter—if things have shifted, they've shifted. What you're looking at sounds like a typical Trumats injury, which can often be corrected later through a redressment procedure. However, when you're dealing with a nose that was just operated on, everything is incredibly unpredictable. Honestly, the packing alone could cause enough deformation that even a surgeon wouldn't be able to save it.

When I was asking around, I sent inquiries about the operation and some photos. He replied to every single email, but the second I asked about the price, he went completely radio silent. Twice.

I’m heading in tomorrow for my rhinoplasty with Dr. Tončić, and honestly, I am terrified. 😁
It still hasn't quite sunk in that I'm actually doing this.
I've been wanting this for a long time—it was either now or never.
And it was now.
By this time tomorrow, the operation will already be over.
I'm just scared of my own decisions.

Part of me is scared of my own ambitions.

There's nothing to fear. Just be brave and get that new nose you want.🙂
I had my follow-up yesterday and everything is fine.
Thankfully, that impact to the head didn't cause any damage.
Both the doctor and I are extremely happy with the results.😍

frozenpilot60, how are you doing? How did everything turn out?

I had surgery performed by the elder Tončić.
I really have to give credit to the staff—they were incredibly kind.
As most people know, I went under local anesthesia with sedation.
I didn't feel a thing—not even the initial poke or the IV needle.
I eventually woke up toward the end when they were stitching me up and doing that "hammering" sensation, but honestly, there wasn't a single moment where I felt actual pain.
It felt like the whole thing lasted maybe five minutes...
Dr. Rajko Tončić was very polite and took the time to chat with my parents while they were picking me up.
Right now, nothing hurts—no bruising yet, no heavy bleeding, and I don't even need pain meds at this stage.
My only real concern right now is how my nose looks once they take the mold off.😁
cosmicbadger83, thanks for the support :*

For anyone wondering what the damage is for an Operation with Dr. Zambelli, it’s looking like somewhere between $2,400 and $2,700.

I went through with it myself, and honestly, everything went super smoothly. Ran into a couple of other girls there who were also stoked with their results—freshly operated on! ;-) Anyway, keeping it short and sweet. If you want the nitty-gritty details, just shoot me a DM.

Hi everyone, I have an Operation scheduled at Glum in about a month or maybe a month and a half...
🙂Just so anyone was wondering, the total cost comes out to $2,400 or so if that helps at all.
Wishing everyone the best of luck!!!

Well, I honestly don't have a clue, though I suppose that's just how they have it listed on their price sheet, much like how they charge for consultations.$84😁

Personally, though? I don't think you should be obsessing over the price tag. You should be looking at *who* is actually holding the scalpel. From what I can tell, most of them are priced pretty much in the same ballpark; what really matters is the surgeon's hands, their experience, and how skilled they actually are.

So... yeah, I've finished everything I needed to do. I made a pretty huge mistake in the process, but honestly, I probably shouldn't get into that right now 😁
Anyway, I was at the filming session earlier and dropped off the CD for the doctor. From what she could tell, it looks like I have some really severe sinus inflammation and a deviated septum, or at least that's how she described it. She’s already scheduled an appointment for me with an ENT specialist over in Nashua... so, I guess a surgery is going to be necessary because of all this. I wonder if I'll be able to get some cosmetic work done at the same time as the functional part?

You should really look for a larger medical center.

What do you mean by "looking for a bigger center"? I'm not quite following. 😁 Basically, she actually scheduled me personally over in Nashua because she says the wait times for an appointment in Chicago are insane. According to her, if I had been booked there, I’d probably be looking at waiting at least five months just for the initial exam. 🤷

The more operations you perform, the more experienced an operator becomes. You should also look into checking out the clinic in Slavonski Brod; they have a really highly experienced medical team there.

Yeah, but my referral already says ENT specialist on it, along with some other paperwork, so I guess I really do have to go there. 🤷 Do you think that after the ENT exam I should start asking about scheduling an Operation, or what? Sorry, this is all just my first time dealing with this, so everything feels pretty unfamiliar 😁

If you’re actually planning on having the Operation, you should look into getting your OS or SB results right away. Otherwise, you'll end up dragging this out—first you'll have to come in for an exam, then again for the Operation, then a third time... it's much better to be prepared.

Yeah, I mean, I’m just not really feeling the idea of going back to my doctor again, especially since she'll probably want to change everything up and request more tests, and then I guess the wait times might stretch out for several months anyway 🤷 Is there any chance I could just go in for an exam and then ask to have the Operation performed at a different facility somewhere else? I'm not really sure how that works, honestly 🤷

Basically, I was wondering if anyone here has any experience with braces—specifically, do they accept cosmetic coverage?
