Zachary Sullivan2 said:👍 These kids will grow up eventually. Once they take out their own loans and start filling their own fridges, ninety percent of the tough guys on this forum will be heading home after two days, yelling at Mommy because she didn't buy their favorite deli meat or pâté.

A different perspective...
I can't stop thinking about an incident from about four years ago—a completely totaled car and the sheer desperation of those guys when it happened out of nowhere. We picked them up and brought them home, regardless...
My point is, I don't understand why some people assume the average fan has the cash for major auto repairs. Do you realize what it means to go to a game with your crew, only to return burdened by debt that threatens your family's entire livelihood?
I know things have always been this way, but repairing an old Yugo back in the day isn't the same as paying for service on a Ford, a Chevy, or a Nissan today... certain codes of conduct are definitely necessary.

On another note, hats off to analogheron19 for his appearance on the show. Watching him is a pleasure; he possesses such composure, knowledge, and backbone. He’s a true legend after all these years.👍

Full support to the guys managing everything, keeping everyone in mind from both sides as we approach Easter.

Instead of sitting around philosophizing, preaching, or acting like experts, we should be out there hitting the streets in our neighborhoods to raise some real cash for our guys in the library; they’re going through the toughest time right now. Also, it wouldn't hurt to lock this thread again once we've made some headway.

Look, I’m not gonna dive deep into this because honestly, I couldn't care less, I just want to get my point across quickly...

- I have massive respect for certain moves made by American fans (any group, really)
- Most American fans are cowards (look, I’m not a fighter, I’m not into that whole ultra scene or street brawling, but I’ll fight for my Club ALWAYS... but I mean fighting exclusively for the club and the group that loves the club as much as I do, not people who put their group above the club) - I say this because of one sweet solo experience, but I’m not getting into details 🙂
- Getting into a scrap in some random city or getting jumped is fair game—it's part of the deal when you travel away. But setting up these "staged" fights is absolute bullshit... what, we all want to get jacked, train in peak condition, and then schedule a brawl for May Day or some other specific date? 🤷 Am I "defending my club colors" then? Or is it just me who thinks this makes zero sense? 🤷

THE BIGGEST ISSUE HERE:
- The truce is broken, and the hooliganism hasn't even left the pitch yet?
- I don't care to argue about who broke the peace (past or present), but I hope every single fan group (especially the small ones) gets a REAL kick out of seeing: 1. fewer and fewer of their people in the stands every week; 2. increasing repression from the cops (I personally dealt with being harassed at Central Park by the cops—everyone was wondering why they singled me out for a search, and the police were hovering over me like I was on a watchlist even though I didn't have anything on me); 3. every new visiting fan arriving at the stadium and being shocked by how much repression there is just to get inside; 4. when they finally shut us down and we're all out there fighting because of these pre-arranged scraps, who the hell are we supposed to be fighting then?
- Everyone wants to talk big about street fights, but HOW MANY OF YOU ACTUALLY JOINED THE CLUB?

- Most American fans are cowards. Look, I’m no fighter, I’m not into the whole "ultra" lifestyle or street brawling, but I will fight for my club ALWAYS... though I'm talking about fighting exclusively for the team and the group that loves the team as much as I do—not people who put their clique above the club itself. This comes from one specific, bittersweet experience, but I won't go into details... 🙂
- Getting into a scrap in a random city or being jumped is fair game. It's part of the deal when you travel for away games. But pre-arranging fights like some "tough guys" is pathetic... everyone wants to look buff and be in peak condition, so we schedule a brawl for May Day or some other arbitrary date? 🤷 Am I "defending my colors" then? Or is it just me who thinks this makes zero sense... 🤷

THE MOST IMPORTANT PART:
- The truce is broken, and the corruption hasn't even been scrubbed from the sport yet?
- I don't care to argue over who broke the peace (past or present), but I truly hope any fan group (especially the small ones) finds it "wonderful" to see: 1. fewer and fewer of their people in the stands every single week; 2. increasing repression from the authorities (I had a personal run-in at Central Park where the police—who kept wondering why they were searching me—harassed me and tried to flag me on a list even though I had absolutely nothing on me); 3. every new wave of "shock" and "disbelief" from visiting fans at Central Park regarding the crackdown and stadium entry; 4. once they shut us down and we're all scattered because of these pre-planned fights, who exactly are we supposed to be fighting then?
- Everyone talks big about street fights and tough guy acts, but HOW MANY OF YOU ACTUALLY BOUGHT A CLUB MEMBERSHIP?

That's it. Bravo. 😉

Everyone’s entitled to their own take... personally, I’m not a fan of these street fights because the whole thing looks ridiculous to me. But then again, I’m also not thrilled with the idea of some 17-year-old kid weighing maybe 130 pounds lacking the guts to stand his ground, only to end up having to smash someone's skull with a rock from twenty yards away instead.

Usually, the people who "worry" the most are the ones staying far away from any actual trouble... kind of a paradox, I guess.

You know where and when I'm heading.

Reading through this, I can't tell if it's just incredibly funny or actually kind of depressing.

Look, you’ve got two rival groups clashing on the street, they play their game, and that’s the end of it. Those of us who weren't standing there in the middle of the fray don't really have any right to lecture those guys. Honestly, have you people no shame? Over time, the violence will die down and the van smashing will surely stop, but nobody who’s actually been in the thick of it knows what it feels like when the eyes turn on you, your legs go numb, and the adrenaline just takes over and pushes you forward. There isn't some deep philosophy behind it.

Clearly, you all think you're geniuses who know exactly what went down. But I hear my buddies from NYC saying they respect our side of things. If they're happy with how it played out, then fine, let them be... though there's that old saying about not whining or crying about it once it's all over. This cycle of repression is going to stick around even after Mommy is gone, and it'll continue as a game passed down through the generations. Let's just hope there's a little less violence next time and leave it at that.

I can't stop thinking about that scene from maybe four years ago—that totally wrecked car and those kids looking absolutely crushed when it happened out of nowhere. We picked them up and brought them home, whatever...
the thing is, I don't get why people think your average fan actually has the cash for a massive repair bill? Imean, do you have any idea what it's like to go to a game with your buddies and come back buried in debt that basically threatens your whole lifestyle and your family's stability?
I know things have always been messy, but fixing an old junker back in the day isn't the same as paying for service on a modern Ford, Chevy, or whatever else today... some rules definitely need to exist.

Anyway, huge props to analogheron19 for that TV appearance. That guy is just a joy to watch—so calm, so smart, so much backbone. One of the true legends after all these years. 👍

Full support to the guys running the show, and my thoughts are with everyone on both sides regarding

Easter.

People with actual loans understand this. I doubt some 20-year-old with no job gets it. I didn't even get it myself, and now at 30+, I'm out here fighting just to pay off the mortgage and damn bills, barely scraping by for anything extra, let alone damages... destroying cars is completely unnecessary, but I guess when the adrenaline hits, who cares? Nobody thinks straight then.

It’s never really changed.

Just fists! Until someone loses their head! As for these cowards, I’m telling them one thing: grow some balls or get the hell away from the fans. It doesn't have to be a full-blown riot, but I'd much rather take a hit from ten guys in a scrum than get taken out by some lunatic throwing something from eight hundred yards away and end up paralyzed for life. 🙂

Oh, please. Where was all this shouting when you guys were out on the streets staging massive displays to celebrate your wins? Were those all just "hands only" too? Or was it mostly just empty talk behind the scenes at places like Madison Square Garden or the local arenas? It’s impossible to believe there wasn't any property damage involved. Look, nobody actually wants anyone to get hurt or end up in a wheelchair, but this sudden wave of moralizing in a country where street fights have always been part of the landscape feels a little late to the party.

Fists only! For real... I don't care for everyone who isn't rooting for my team, but I'm never going to assault someone with a bottle or a club just because we support different sides. Not happening.
Just step up and settle it like men to see who's eating better, and leave it at that.

What does a victory or a choreographed display have to do with anything? Don't be ridiculous. The only thing that matters is that nobody ends up in a wheelchair tomorrow. Who actually won or lost? That's irrelevant. Years from now, generations will still be arguing about who came out on top—both our sides and yours. ...as if "uprooting every stone" were even possible... 🤣🤣

A few months back, everyone was acting all high and mighty—telling everyone to stock up on tickets for the road trips to Kansas City, gear up for the big derby, and show up en masse in the stands to support the team... you know the drill. But now? Suddenly, it’s perfectly fine to start throwing flares, lighting torches, and tossing "peaceful" rocks at the very people who were just fighting tooth and nail yesterday to save football and the fans from total ruin. Look, there’s always been the brawls, the waiting games, the scuffles... that stuff is part of the deal. But honestly, after everything we’ve built together, I really thought we’d moved past the whole "sending fans to the ER" phase—specifically because of the injuries caused by those damn projectiles. It seems like the older heads actually get why this kind of nonsense is bad for us. Personally, I spend my shifts at work trying to explain to people why we fans are nothing like those lowlife mobsters running the Democratic Party, only to have them shut me down like I’m some kind of idiot. You guys can fight all you want, I don't give a damn, but there's a time and a place for that—and if we keep doing this shit, it won't even make the news, which means the losses just become even more pathetic.

i what if they actually bring in those "buffer zones" when these random run-ins happen? people will just walk right past each other... maybe.
and if you get 30 guys running into 15, what then—are we gonna sit there counting heads and deciding who gets to throw down?

the only thing messed up about our scene is the weapons situation. groups need to step up and settle things internally—you know, handle the guys pulling out rocks or bats... and obviously stop smashing cars. but if you fix that first part, I don't see anyone just busting up a van with their bare hands..
these organized fights, training sessions, gym stuff—that's a whole different ballgame.

This isn't exactly news. Simic is basically a statue at this point, some guy from the Riot Squad lost an eye, and thank God nobody actually died in that fire over in Phoenix... I guess the real question is when someone’s actually going to die. And then what? Just more hypocritical truces and fake peace messages.

People need to step up and have the older crowd teach the younger kids that there's a line you just don't cross. Though, honestly, that's pretty much impossible once the adrenaline kicks in. But still, rules and respect should probably exist.

And I'll say it again: people shouldn't even be posting about this here, and we all know why.

What a bunch of hypocrites. It’s easy to preach morality and call for peace when you haven't actually stepped foot in the fray once in the last five years. Why didn't any of you suggest heading out to some field off the interstate to settle things back then? Maybe it's because 80% of you here don't have anything to do with the fans and weren't even there, yet you all act like geniuses, constantly picking fights over everything. Our conflicts aren't the problem; the only thing that needs to change is the stone-throwing and the property damage. That's really it.

Robin Anderson8 said:This isn't some new thing. We’ve seen Simic crippled by stones, a guy from the Riot Squad lost an eye, people in Dugopolje barely escaped being burned alive... thank God nobody died there. The real question is: when is someone actually going to die? And then what? More hypocritical truces and empty slogans.

We need to step up and have the veterans mentor the younger kids about boundaries, even if it’s incredibly hard once the adrenaline kicks in. But rules and respect have to exist.

And I'll say it again: people with certain reputations shouldn't be the ones writing this stuff for obvious reasons.

That whole "age" argument is total nonsense. It’s not about how old you are.

There are plenty of sane people with rational thoughts in this scene, but let's be real—this is pure nonsense. We're talking about a sense of idealism that maybe 30 people in any given group actually holds. As if we can just sit down, agree on something, and everyone will suddenly follow it? What a joke. At this rate, we deserve to see the culture crushed under the weight of modern soccer.

As for the ultras... they can keep dreaming.
