Lawrence Castillo76 said:Jefferson is playing tonight. Arenas in Memphis? Hahaha, they don't stand a chance.
If Conley wasn't such a superstar, maybe Arenas would actually be an extra luxury for them.

Honestly, what he put up while he was with the Orlando Magic was pretty underwhelming, to say the least. Having seen him around during practice, I can tell you he’s just not on another level. I'm convinced that whenever he's on the court, his team is just wasting precious minutes they could be using with anyone else.

Ugh, the Oklahoma City Thunder just killed my parlay with a smaller stake. I had the Milwaukee Bucks, Nash under, Phoenix Suns +10, and a 5-point spread on the New York Knicks against the OKC Thunder 😢

Looks like they set Carmelo Anthony at 21.5 again.🤦
At first glance, taking Deron Williams over 23 and Jamison under 20 seems like a solid play.
I’d also take the Phoenix Suns at +8.5 and Dwight Howard under 22.
And given how he's been playing lately, maybe I'll take the under on Melo at 22 too.

Man, Lawson looks like a total lock today based on what I'm seeing over at DraftKings, even though they missed quite a few plays yesterday.

Last night was just one miss after another. Memphis, Los Angeles, Oklahoma City... nothing went my way. Today’s gotta be better. 👍

Hey everyone, I’m new here, though I’ve been lurking and following the discussions for quite a while now, and I have to say that many of you really deserve a lot of credit for the quality of your analyses. 😉
For today's slate, I was leaning towards taking the under on Kobe Bryant's scoring and the over on Kevin Durant. My reasoning for Kobe is pretty straightforward; he only put up 29 total points across his last two matchups against the Dallas Mavericks, so it seems pretty obvious that their defensive scheme is giving him a hard time.
I'm curious to hear what you all think about this. 😉

I'm leaning toward the under on Kobe because he dropped 29 points total against the Dallas Mavericks over their last two matchups, so it looks like their defensive scheme really messes with his rhythm.

Hey there, welcome to the club! 👍
I'm totally on board with you regarding Kobe. 😁
Last night against the Houston Rockets, Kobe shot 10-27 (37%) from the field, which was just enough to squeeze out 29 points and blow past that line, but let's be real—that was against a defense that wasn't exactly suffocating. He’s basically been feasting on them lately. If the Rockets struggled to keep him under 29, imagine how much trouble he'll have running into this elite Dallas defense! They’re sitting comfortably in the top 5 when it comes to guarding the backcourt, they run zone incredibly well, and they’re actually ranked #2 in the league at shutting down spot-up jumpers. Their ability to neutralize pick-and-roll ball handlers is a huge part of why they're so tough, especially with guys like Jason Kidd, Baron Davis, and Beaubois locking things down. Kobe always seems to hit a wall against them; in their last five meetings, he hasn't even come close to clearing the bar, peaking at 23 points before dipping down to 17, 17, 14, and 15 on some pretty shaky shooting percentages. Plus, he usually shoots about 7% worse on the road than he does at home. At the end of the day, I'm just hoping he finally realizes he needs to feed those twin towers, Gasol and Bynum, since that interior game is one of the best in the league. When you weigh it all up, I think it's worth taking the under on a line like 28.5 🙂, which feels way too high given who they're playing; 24.5 would be more realistic.
Also, looking at Bargnani over 17.5, I think he can eat up against a defensively weak Boozer in the post. Between that and picking up a few threes or free throws, that line shouldn't be an issue, especially since he put up 23 and 24 points in their last two H2H matchups. He's also got a great track record playing at home, so he should have everything he needs to put on a show.☕

I have a feeling the Dallas Mavericks might actually give the Los Angeles Lakers a run for their money tonight, especially since the Lakers still look pretty shaky whenever they're playing on the road. Personally, I think Dirk Nowitzki and the rest of the Dallas crew can probably cover a 4.5-point spread. If San Antonio was able to pull it off, I suppose it’s not out of the question for Los Angeles too...
I’m also still leaning toward the idea that the New York Knicks will cover that 4.5-point spread against the Philadelphia 76ers. Ever since Mike D'Antoni left, they’ve honestly felt like a completely different squad. About ten days ago, Philly took them by 12 at Madison Square Garden, but the vibe around the Knicks was just totally different back then. Since bringing in the new coach, they've managed to win all four games, doing so by an average margin of about 22.5 points. I suspect they’ll keep this momentum going, and even if the 76ers end up winning, I imagine it’ll be a pretty close contest.

Hey everyone, just joined the group 🙂. I was wondering if you guys could suggest three picks that look like absolute locks for tonight, because I’m thinking about dropping some serious cash on this one. Right now, I've only really got Kobe on my radar, but I'm still second-guessing myself. Also, does anyone know if Shaquille O'Neal is playing? He's been the main guy tasked with guarding Kobe lately 🙂

Rose (groin pull) is a game-time decision for Wednesday's game against the Raptors.
Atlanta Hawks (-7.5) vs. Cleveland Cavaliers | Spread: 1.85
Jeremy Lin (-14.5+) Under | Odds: 1.85
Odds: 3.42
This one feels like a lock...

I don't think we should be playing Jeremy Lin tonight; he’s basically the only healthy playmaker the Knicks have left right now.

The NBA results have been absolutely wild lately, and honestly, I just can't seem to catch a break when it comes to betting on Kobe Bryant.

...Gordon put on a clinic tonight, dropped 45 on just 9 shots...👏
Edit:
Now suddenly Neno is on the board too? Margin is sitting at 12.5... is betting the over even worth the hassle here?
There’s a massive gap in the margins on Kaman, swinging from 14.5 all the way up to 17.5 based on what I'm seeing at DraftKings...
Just realized he used to play for the Clippers...

Why are the oddsmakers leaning so heavily toward the Clippers today?
I'm looking for a deep dive on this one. They're heading out to face the New Orleans Pelicans.
