As a bettor, all I care about—strictly and exclusively—are the numbers. Honestly, I couldn't care less whether we're talking about "team chemistry" or "discipline."
Take a look at the last two pages and you might find some of my takes on the NBA... maybe checking out the Clippers or Golden State... or even pivoting to tennis or basketball... there might be something in there for you. Regardless, I'd much rather offer quality over quantity. For instance, Miami and Oklahoma haven't faced off in 375 days. On March 16, 2011, Durant dropped 29 points while LeBron, Wade, and Bosh struggled from the field, leading to a 96-85 loss...
Back on January 30, 2011, LeBron, Wade, and Bosh were all shooting above 50% and pulled off a 108-103 win—though Durant actually had 33 points that night (including 17 from the free-throw line). Bringing up "form" or "momentum" doesn't really hold water here, especially considering the elbow injury James picked up against Phoenix. That injury caused him real trouble in the third and fourth quarters against both Phoenix and Detroit (averaging just 18.5 points during those stretches). He used this past Saturday to really dial things back in and improve his game.
James' Statement: “For me, if I don’t shoot the ball particularly well, it doesn’t get me down because I’ve got other parts of my game. I just have to rebound more and get my guys involved and defend even more. As for his shot, he said “it’s not as great as I want it to be right now. I don’t want to say it’s bothering me, but I’ve been short on a lot of shots and hopefully I can continue to get treatment, continue to work my habits, James said. I was able to get into the gym today and make a lot of shots, so that definitely helped.”
