What's the verdict on DeRozan and Wade being done?

Toronto is facing a weak Bobcats squad, and they won't have Bargnan or Kleiz in the lineup, according to Skip Bayless

Miami plays the Cavaliers today, so all the pressure is on LeBron James, which means Dwyane Wade should probably step up and take over

Drew Gooden (wrist, knee) has been ruled out for the Bucks game on Friday in Orlando.

With Andres Bogut gone and now Drew Gooden sidelined too, if Dwight Howard doesn't put up at least 30 points, he might as well just disappear.

EDIT:

DeMarcus Cousins (mid back spasms) has been ruled out for the Kings game on Friday against Detroit.

Oklahoma's missing Perkins and Sefolosha, plus Durant's dealing with some stomach issues, though he's still expected to suit up.

I went with the Under 17.5, so I put my money down there. Good luck to everyone tonight!☕

And what do you think... maybe two in Washington... 🙂 Well, that was unexpected... 🙂 A little bit of underestimation here, and things could go south fast... 🙂I took the bet at +400 odds, so I might actually start rooting for them... 🙂 I teamed up with Jeremy Lin and it was over... 🙂 He's a miracle...

I’d personally go with the under on Lin. Amar'e Stoudemire is back, and you could tell from the last game alone that he’s playing at a completely different level. There's also a chance they just steamroll the Hornets, which would give that young phenom a much-needed breather after scoring those two buckets earlier.

Knocked out the first game (so I don't have to wait too long):

Orlando Magic (EDIT: missed the first one, rest in peace)
Detroit Pistons
Philadelphia 76ers
Miami Heat
+
Admirals and Dwight Howard 20.5 over

So many pairings, but... 🤷

It wouldn't be such a miserable night if the Los Angeles Lakers hadn't decided to play mind games just like Orlando Magic did earlier tonight... honestly, those Phoenix Suns have been a massive headache for me more times than I care to count.

Man, I guess we're back to seeing Jeremy Lin go over again. Honestly, he really needs to start hitting the over on turnovers; if they set the line at 7.5, that would be about where the margin should be, I suppose.

analoghound21 said:Philly vs. Dallas at 1.75... man, I don't know. Looking at these lines makes me want to go lie down in a dark room. You look at the 76ers and you think they've got this, right? But then you see the Mavericks and suddenly everything feels a little more complicated. It’s one of those matchups where you just stare at the screen and wonder why we even bother betting on these things sometimes. Hard to call.
Man, I don't know... looking at this OKC vs. Golden State matchup. The odds have the Warriors sitting at 1.85? Honestly, I'm leaning toward Golden State to cover that spread. Just a gut feeling, I guess. Everything feels a bit chaotic lately, doesn't it? Anyway, yeah. Golden State.

Hell yeah, Sixers! Way to go! 🙏

Up +14 at the half, right? And then what happens... nine minutes in, they look like they forgot how to play basketball entirely. Only two points in that stretch. Just total collapse. Meanwhile, the Mavericks go on a 19-2 run and suddenly the momentum isn't just shifted—it's gone. Completely vanished. 🙂

Man, what a disaster. The Mavericks are sitting at 0 and 9. I mean, seriously? How do you even start a season like that? It’s just brutal to watch. At this point, you gotta wonder if anyone actually knows what they're doing out there on the court. Just total chaos.
Klay Thompson 2-9
Edmond Turner 2-11
LaMarcus Aldridge going 4-for-15... man, what a disaster. Honestly, just watching that was painful. You sit there expecting a veteran presence, someone to actually step up when the offense stalls out, and instead? Nothing. Just empty trips to the charity stripe and bricks flying everywhere. It’s exhausting, really. Makes you wonder if anyone on this roster even knows how to grind through a slump. Just a total mess.
...

Honestly, Dirk Nowitzki alone put up more numbers than their entire starting five combined. I mean, sure, they absolutely owned the paint at center, but what’s the point of dominating the post when everything else on the floor is just a complete disaster? Total garbage. 🙏

What’s the point? They can steal thirteen possessions and it still won't matter. Seriously, what are we even doing here? Just... yeah. That's all there is to it. Nothing else to say. Eight losses in a row... seriously? How do you even manage that when you're shooting like this? I mean, 1-for-14 from behind the arc? Seven percent. That’s not just bad; that’s practically an insult to the game. Just absolute garbage. 🤦

Way to go, Dirk and Amar'e 👋--they actually pulled it off
. That crazy comeback by the Orlando Magic last night really helped us out 😁--it was wild

up by 14 at the half, then they go out and score just two points in the first nine minutes of the second half while the Mavericks run off a 19:2 stretch.🙂

Holiday is 0-9
Klay Thompson is 2-9
Edmond Turner is 2-11
LaMarcus Aldridge is 4-15
...

Dirk Nowitzki basically scored as much as their entire starting five combined. Sure, they dominated the paint, but who cares when everything else is a total disaster?🙏

Doesn't matter if they grabbed 13 steals and only had 8 turnovers if they shoot like this—they went 1-14 from deep (7%).🤦

The 76ers have the best bench in the league, which is really the only reason they aren't underwater this season. As soon as they run into a decent team, they just sink.🤦

Man, I’m telling you, if Chris Paul is standing at like 6'1" and weighing in around 185, how on earth is he supposed to hold his own? It just doesn't add up, does it? You look at the size of these guys today and then you look at him and you gotta wonder—is he actually going to be able to compete at that level? It's wild!
Are you kidding me right now? You’re seriously telling me we should be looking at Luol Deng when he's standing at like 6'1" and barely breaking 165 pounds? Is that even a real basketball build or are we talking about a middle schooler? I mean, look, I get what people are trying to say, but how is anyone supposed to hold their own out there against actual grown men if they're built like a toothpick? It just doesn't add up, man! Does anyone actually think that kind of frame can handle the physicality of the league? It's ridiculous!
I mean, come on, are we seriously even debating this? You really think Tony Parker is pulling in more than 17.5 at 6'1"? Are you kidding me right now? It’s almost laughable how some people try to lowball his impact like that! How can anyone look at the stats and the sheer grit he brings to the court and think he's underperforming? It makes zero sense, man, absolutely zero!
Can you believe we’re actually looking at Ellis playing under 22.5 minutes at 6'1"? Are you kidding me right now? How does a guy even find his rhythm with that kind of limited action? It’s absolute madness! You can't expect anyone to get into a flow or impact the game when they're barely getting any meaningful time on the floor. What's the logic there? Seriously, what are the coaches even thinking? It feels like we're just spinning our wheels instead of actually building something. I mean, if you aren't giving him the minutes, how are you supposed to know if he's actually got it? It's just frustrating to watch!

The log looks more or less standard, I guess? It could probably pass.☕

Memphis Grizzlies (h-5,5) - Golden State Warriors1 1,85

The Grizzlies have been on a tear at home lately, winning four of their last five, and they've covered the spread in three of those matchups. They sit at an impressive 11-5 at home this season. On the other side, the Warriors are struggling on the road, sitting at 3-10.
That said, Monta Ellis is a bit of a question mark. He was dealing with some knee issues yesterday, though he'll likely suit up.
Last night, Memphis barely scraped by, while Golden State got dismantled by 23 against OKC. Does the streak continue?

Portland Trail Blazers (h-3,5) - Atlanta Hawks2 1,90

LaMarcus Aldridge will probably play, but we won't have a definitive answer until tip-off.
I’m leaning toward Atlanta here, based on their head-to-head stats, superior perimeter shooting, and how well they've been performing on the road.

Robin Lopez might be back in the lineup tonight, and Derrick Rose could be too.

If Robin Lopez ends up sitting this one out, taking the over on Deron Williams at 23.5 looks like a very tempting play.

I've got the LA Clippers beating the San Antonio Spurs, but I'm really eyeing Tony Parker over, or perhaps pairing him against Stephen Curry in a head-to-head matchup.🤔

Where has everyone 😁 gone?

I’ve been sitting here crunching the numbers and really digging into the data for an under on Monta Ellis (22.5)

edit: I am definitely riding with this under...

The Memphis Grizzlies are just absolute monsters when it comes to guarding the perimeter—especially those shooters. They’ve got some elite defenders in Gordon Hayward and Kevin Mayo who basically specialize in shutting down isolation plays; they handle pick-and-rolls and cuts better than anyone else in the league, too. Plus, Monta Ellis hasn't exactly been playing out of his mind lately, and they seem to be leaning heavily on Bruce Lee, who's looking pretty hot right now. He played maybe 30 minutes in yesterday's game, and normally he averages about 20 points against Memphis... so, yeah, everything seems to point toward him staying under that 22.5 line on SS...

Doesn't 2.4 on the San Antonio Spurs look like a solid value tonight?

Oh, totally—but man, anything can happen in this league... I mean, objectively speaking, the San Antonio Spurs have more talent, probably better coaching, and a way deeper bench... but you gotta assume these guys are absolutely itching for revenge after getting smoked by about 20 points in their last road game. Now they're back on home soil, so things might just shift.
