And then he’ll just show up to the game on a city bus. Seriously. 🙂

Besides that, their schedule is absolutely brutal right now. I mean, two games in two days? Then another one coming up in four? It's relentless. Honestly, the vibe in that locker room still feels pretty heavy and depressing, too. And after they get through this road trip, they’ve got the LA Clippers at home, followed immediately by the Miami Heat. It’s just a gauntlet.

I don't even know why I bother typing this out anymore. Just staring at the screen, waiting for something actually interesting to happen in the league, but it's all just noise. Honestly, most days I feel like I'm shouting into a void. Anyway, whatever. I'm here. Let's get into it. kaže:
Atlanta vs Philadelphia 🤔 Honestly, I’d probably go with the under 2.5. Look, the Atlanta Hawks looked absolutely terrible against Meg, and Phil wasn't exactly lighting it up last night either. When you've got two teams playing this poorly, you might as well just pick the lesser of two evils.

I don't know, man, I’m not really feeling it. Honestly? The Hawks had way more time to get their act together for this one. Besides, Philly already knocked them around once this season—they took them down 90-76 at home after Atlanta actually held a decent lead for a bit. Plus, they lost the last two matchups against them last season too. I think the Hawks are going to be incredibly motivated today just to shake off that last loss and prove they aren't total pushovers. They'll want to fix that bad impression from the previous game, you know?

I'd honestly just skip that. 🤷

Not to mention, if he gets even moderate support from Dwyane Wade or Chris Bosh, the game is essentially over. As for the LA Lakers and Denver, anything could happen there; the Lakers have picked up two straight wins and finally seem to be finding their rhythm—they’re looking much fresher now that Kobe only had to play half a game against Bobcast recently—while Denver had a grueling matchup last night against the LA Clippers. Plus, the Lakers are staring down a stretch of six or seven tough road games, and given their current record isn't exactly stellar, they really need to capitalize while they still have some energy in the tank.

Lakers vs Heat series 2
Miami Heat 2

edit—looking at the lines again, I honestly think almost everything could end up being a two-game spread. 😁

I assume someone was following along—it wasn't the most imaginative parlay, I'll admit, but those coefficients were definitely worth the risk.🤷

Today, my eyes are on the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Chicago Bulls, the New York Knicks, and I might even take the Detroit Pistons. I'll put something together later this evening.

Yeah, I did. I actually ended up taking Silin's hockey pick with a slightly higher stake, but I still finished in the red after everything settled. Maybe I shouldn't have gone that big, I guess. 😬

Well, I guess everything just went south. Maybe it was meant to be, who knows? Just my luck, I suppose. 👍

BET-LIVE
Odds: 11.71

(22.5) Houston Rockets - Martin: OVER @1.85
I’d say it’s worth taking Martin tonight. He’s playing great, he just missed the over yesterday simply because he spent half the game riding the bench. They've got a tough road trip matchup ahead, though—the Rockets are a beast at home. Minnesota has one of the worst defenses in the league against the Shooting Guard position, so I think Martin will exploit that, especially since Houston's second scoring option is Luis Scola, who'll be guarded by Kevin Love and probably won't find much room to work.

(18.5) Cleveland - Irving: Over @1.85
Back on young Kyrie Irving again. He actually cleared the over yesterday despite shooting absolute garbage! His season average is still north of .500, though. He’s hit the over in five straight games now, and tonight he’s facing a Dallas Mavericks squad that’s got one of the worst defenses against point guards in the league—giving up about 20.5 points per game. Plus, I don't see him repeating that terrible performance from last night, especially since he's playing at home.

Kevin Love over 24.5 points at 1.85. I like it.
Kevin Love and his Minnesota Timberwolves take on the Houston Rockets tonight, and both teams are playing hot right now. I’m expecting a dogfight until the final buzzer and probably around 200 total points. Love had a rough night yesterday, and I don't think he'll let that happen twice in a row—plus, he’s averaging about 26 points at home, so this should hit. Another reason to take this is that he'll be guarded by Luis Scola, and let's just say defense isn't exactly his strongest suit.

(22.5) LA Clippers - Blake Griffin Over @1.85
Griffin can easily clear this line. The only thing that might stop him tonight is if the Clippers jump out to a massive lead too early, but I have a feeling Washington will actually make them work for it. Besides, the Clippers have been grinding through some tough matchups and only had one day of rest, so they probably aren't at 100% either. Washington has the 7th worst defense at power forward, and Griffin is sitting at 3rd in the league for scoring at that position. He dropped 33 and 26 in his last two against them, so everything points to the over.

I’d say bet on Terry to go under, right?

"Dirk Nowitzki" is back, Odom too, plus one more player 🤔. They could absolutely tear through the Cleveland Cavaliers quickly, which would leave Baron Davis with significantly less playing time—not that he's anything more than a bench specialist anyway.

New York Knicks (-6.5) vs New Jersey Nets

The Knicks really ought to pull this one off—you can see them finding their rhythm over the last two games.
They suffered a narrow loss against the Chicago Bulls, and similarly
against Boston, but it’s high time they finally secure a win. I’m taking this spread along with Dwight Howard under.

New York vs New Jersey
Pick: New York -6.5

Coefficient: 1.943

Wager: 4/10

I haven't been watching the Knicks much lately—though the word is they’ve finally found their rhythm. This is a squad that should be looking at a lock for the playoffs, not wasting time messing around with teams like the Charlotte Hornets or the New Jersey Nets. New Jersey is still dealing with a laundry list of injuries, which isn't helping. They have Deron Williams and maybe two other serviceable guys; everyone else is essentially filler. They're even thin enough that they had to bring in Andrew Bogut just to fill out the roster. 🤣
The Knicks are always tough at MSG, and we might see Baron Davis step up tonight. Regardless, New York is simply the superior team—both as a unit and in terms of individual talent. Jason Smith should be able to contain Morrow's perimeter game, Amare Stoudemire should handle Ryan Anderson, and Tyson Chandler will likely control the paint against the Nets' third center (since Brook Lopez and Zoran Planinić are sidelined). Plus, Deron Williams won't be driving to the hoop as often tonight—Chandler is a stout rim protector, and his defense could be the deciding factor... again.
Furthermore, New York has taken the last seven matchups (including preseason), which includes two wins this year—one at home and one on the road.
To be fair, the Knicks are playing their third game in three days—a classic "back-to-back-to-back"—but the Nets aren't exactly rested either. They're on their third game in four days, which is its own kind of grind.

Minnesota vs Houston
Pick: Minnesota -2.5

Coefficient: 2.12

Wager: 5/10

Minnesota has become a fan favorite this season for two main reasons. First, there's the Spanish youngster Ricky Rubio, whose flashy assists keep everyone entertained. Second, there's Kevin Love—a walking double-double machine who has been playing lights out this year. With the return of Baron Davis and John Wall, and moving Gorica Peković into the starting center role (thanks to Zoran Miličić being out), they've turned into a legitimate squad rather than a punching bag. They sit at 11-12 right now, sniffing around playoff contention. Tonight, they have a chance to hit the .500 mark for the first time since 2007, so motivation will be high. Houston has historically dominated this matchup, winning 16 of their last 20, but Minnesota hasn't been this competitive in years.
They've split their meetings twice this season, with each team taking one win. Interestingly, Minnesota's coach is David Adelman, who spent the last four years coaching Houston—he knows them inside and out, which could be a major advantage tonight.
Houston is the home team and tends to struggle on the road. I expect Minnesota to capitalize, especially if they lean on the production from Kevin Love.

🙂

EDIT: I'm passing on Baron Davis; the Cleveland defense is far too weak to handle a duo like that.

Blake Griffin in his matchup against Dwight Howard (Hibbert really ought to provide some decent coverage for Dwight, which should allow Griffin to maintain his edge—see this pic)
Chicago (They have that home-court energy even on the road, they play well against Milwaukee, and Rose is always going to overpower Monta Ellis 😬)
Minnesota 1x (Tsigiev's pick, just a straight win without the handicap or an X cover)
Al Jefferson under (Nicholas Chase34's pick)

It’s not that I have excessive faith in them—it's just that the Nets are abysmal, which is why I went with a 4/10. 😁

James Taylor3 said:Look, it’s not even like I actually trust them that much—it's just that the New Jersey Nets are honestly a total disaster right now... which is exactly why I slapped a 4/10 on them. 😁

What even are you playing at...? Honestly, I can't tell if you're actually serious or just messing around... it's hard to say sometimes with people these days...

He managed to dodge them by a wide margin... just barely slipped through the loop. 😁

I ended up taking your Minnesota pick for a single—and I even threw it into a parlay with the Wizards vs Clippers over, some Bulls action, and a hedge on OKC... I didn't want to get too greedy today, especially since I’m in the middle of an absolutely brutal losing streak. Out of my last 23 singles, only 4 actually hit... just a complete disaster lately... 🙏 If I lose everything tonight, half my bank account is going to vanish within a week... just gone. 🙏

Casey White13 said:Sometimes a chicken pecks you when you least expect it... It’s high time the Knicks finally stepped up and did the same. ☕

That's the only way I can get a real grip on things... if I even want to... just by pure accident, I guess. 😬

Man, I really hope whoever you guys picked actually knows what they're doing... wouldn't want them totally blowing it for us.

I took your Minnesota pick for a single, then tacked it onto a parlay with the Wizards vs Clippers over and an OKC contra. I wasn't looking to overextend today—I'm in a brutal slump. Out of my last 23 singles, only 4 hit. 🙏 If I go all-in tonight, half my bankroll could vanish within a week. 🙏

Yeah, you've always been shaky with Minnesota. 😁

That single streak of yours is quite something. 😬

I went too big today, and now I'm still debating whether to touch the Bulls—might just throw a bet their way. 🙂

Good call on those struggling Knicks; they look desperate. Plus, after the first period, Tyson Chandler, Amare Stoudemire, and Tiago Splitter all rack up two fouls apiece.

An easy -12.

I'd be better off if I'd gone with the Philadelphia double, as I originally intended.
