Looks like Steve Nash isn't playing tonight.
It hasn't been officially confirmed, but here's the word:

Suns guard Steve Nash can’t run. That’s a bad omen for anyone hoping to watch him chase down that franchise assist record tonight—or for those expecting the Suns to actually stand a chance against the reigning champion Dallas Mavericks.

Following this morning's shootaround, Nash mentioned that the bruising on his left thigh hasn't subsided. It feels remarkably similar to the injury on his right side that sidelined him during the New Jersey game earlier this season. Back then, it happened during a back-to-back; this time, even with an off-day this past Sunday, he's still going to need significant rest and immediate treatment to feel anything close to ready by tip-off at 7 p.m.

“I’ll just try to give it another seven or eight hours of rest and see if it’s ready to go,” Nash said. “Hopefully, after some treatments tonight, I'll have a shot.”

Nash noted he hasn't been able to run yet, though he did manage some shooting and light exercises this morning to try and regain some flexibility.

The odds for Dallas are already sitting at 1.56 on average. My money's on them.

Wall has started off strong. I have a feeling Chris Paul is going to have his work cut out for him though... 🙄

No way, what Wall is hitting right now is pure luck. It isn't going to keep falling for him the entire game; Rose is handling this situation just fine.

I mean, look at how Rose is playing otherwise. 😂

Dwight Howard is 2-for-8 from the free throw line... man, that is just brutal. 🤦

That’s just business as usual with him...

But what I don't get is why coaches keep putting up with it. Despite everything he brings to the table defensively—especially with those rebounds—he constantly leaves points on the floor at the stripe.
I once saw him miss over 10 free throws in a single game, and that kind of inefficiency can absolutely wreck a team's rhythm. 🤷

Up 14 at the half. That's getting a little out of hand... 🤷

He might push it to 25, but I seriously doubt Chris Paul can catch him... 😁

But what really baffles me is how coaches just let it slide. Despite all his defensive dominance... especially when it comes to rebounding... he constantly misses a massive amount of free throws...
I remember seeing him miss over 10 free throws in a single game... and honestly, that can absolutely tank a team's performance..🤷

I mean, I know it's a weakness of his, but seriously, why isn't he hitting the gym after practice to work on it? It shouldn't be this difficult to master the free throw line, right?🤷

Dwight Howard is struggling out there, shooting just 6-for-14 from the field and 4-for-11 from the free throw line. What a disaster. 🙂

Michael Myers As requested:
Dwight Howard is shooting 4-for-11 from the free throw line after going 6-for-14 from the field. Unbelievable. 🙂

6 out of 17 from the field.

5 out of 13 from the free throw line.

What kind of lawyer... 🤣

He and Mehmet Okur are easily my two least favorite players in the game...
They’re the reason I can't stand the Magic. I can wrap my head around Dwight Howard, but Mehmet Okur? Not a chance. He wouldn't even make a roster in a local minor league, let alone an NBA squad. Then you've got Mike van Gundy, playing the clown by forcing both him and Howard into the lineup. When you look at their combined efficiency, they're shooting a pathetic 7/26—that's basically 5/15 from the free-throw line. 🤣

Because of them, I’ve grown to absolutely loathe the Magic... I can find plenty to criticize about Dwight Howard, but Mehmet Okur? Honestly, that guy wouldn't even make the roster for a local college team, let alone suit up for an NBA squad. Then you have that clown of a coach, Mike van Gundy, constantly forcing both him and Howard into the lineup. When you actually sit down and crunch the numbers on how many shots they've missed together, it’s pathetic—we're looking at a combined field goal percentage of 7/26, or just 5/15 from the free-throw line. It's just brutal. 🤣

I honestly think Dwight Howard is the primary reason they dropped this one. It’s pretty obvious that the team plays much better when he’s sitting on the bench—you can clearly see that from their recent 4/4 run. To be blunt, the guy seems like he doesn't give a damn anymore; he's clearly just playing to get himself traded, and in doing so, he's completely sabotaging the rest of the squad. That says everything you need to know about his attitude right now. 😠 🙂

Without Dwight Howard, Orlando would just be playing radio for the Washington Wizards at the bottom of the standings. Get your heads in the game; yes, the coach is leaning heavily on Howard 🤦

Made the handoff to Chicago, though it was way tougher than I anticipated. They were up by 20 at the start of the fourth quarter, but they managed to claw it back down to that unlucky eight-point margin 😬

Carlos Boozer drops 10 points in the final quarter and saves the parlay 🙏 🙏

Jeremy Lee67 said:Personally, I’d steer clear of Miami today—after last night's win, they might finally catch their breath, but they’ve already struggled against much smaller teams too many times now, and frankly, the odds just aren't worth the risk.
I'm going big today—looking at Rose over, and maybe adding one more leg to double the payout. I might even take the spread on Philadelphia against an Orlando team that is currently in absolutely desperate form.

stormyseal9, why go Boozer over? Ever since Rose came back, the guy isn't getting any touches, and when he does, his efficiency is basically fifty-fifty.

For those following along, my second parlay leg was actually Chicago. Honestly, watching Miami just makes me sick. Congrats to the crew on hitting Boozer, Dallas, and the other legs—I got burned by the Philadelphia -7.5 spread; they were up by 8 and then gave up a three-pointer in the final seconds. Still, the main ticket hit.☕

Way to go, Mavericks. 👋

At least Dallas and Phoenix play each other three times a week. 😍

And honestly, let’s not talk nonsense—without Dwight Howard, this Orlando team would be sitting somewhere near Charlotte in the standings.

The way he opens up space for everyone else, his rebounding numbers on both ends, the defensive presence he brings...

rose-wade 1 ...Rose is definitely going to be fired up after those free throws at the end yesterday, and Wade isn't quite back to 100% yet. That's my read.

james-durant 2 ...New Orleans is a joke right now. I'm expecting Miami to run them ragged, which might mean less minutes for LeBron... meanwhile, Durant faces a brutal matchup against the Clippers where he'll have to carry the load again.

love(23,5) - over ...Aside from the Clippers and Oklahoma City games, this is the one I'm watching. I expect a shootout on both sides, so Love should clear the line. Three or four triples, 6-7 free throws, and a couple of easy buckets in the paint, and he's there.

iguodala(12,5) - over ...To be honest, I'm only taking this because the line is high enough, even if his season has been mediocre. It's about time he turned it around. I suspect this will be a defensive grind under 185 total points, but if he can't hit at least 13, he might as well head straight to the local brewery.

It’s a nice feeling waking up and seeing that it's all over... 😁

Man, just give me a break—greed is a hell of a thing. As if Dallas wasn't enough trouble, now I've gotta deal with Portland playing a double🙂

This is ridiculous... that Griffin Perkins dunk was just absolute nonsense. 🙏🙏
Perkins, man, just give up on basketball already. 😂

Hit 7 out of 9 last night. Since I put them all on one parlay, I walked away with nothing. Portland screwed me; I took the over on Memphis scoring, thinking they'd clear 97. I definitely miscalculated there, even though my logic felt solid at the time. The Spurs were playing a back-to-back, and Memphis is usually a powerhouse at home that loves to push those totals over. 🤷

When a player misses over 20 free throws across three games, they have no business being on the roster—especially when you know they draw a ton of fouls per game. On top of missing an absurd amount of freebies, his offensive game is non-existent, plagued by high turnovers and an IQ that’s basically sub-50. Add in the fact that he picks up two quick fouls in three or four different games... after playing maybe 30 minutes total? There isn't much to debate. That’s why I said he's only tolerated because his defense is elite. If he weren't such a defensive and rebounding specialist, he wouldn't even be good enough for the G League, let alone the NBA. But he is, so they put up with the free throw struggles. Otherwise, Orlando will be joining the Wizards at the bottom of the standings pretty soon. ☕
