What do you guys think about that 100.5 line for Indiana at DraftKings? Looking back at their last 21 games, they’ve only cleared that number twice. New York is a total joke right now, but Indiana just doesn't play in high-scoring affairs...

My 9.84 in the 100m doesn't mean much when Stanley is clearly faster. 🙂

I was just thinking about packing more in—though, honestly, maybe not too much. 🙂

I get there and the clerk tells me—the limit is 184.5. 🙂

Scott Jackson, next time just shoot me a DM first—then give the rest of the forum a heads-up after half an hour or so. 😉

My bad, I messed up that line. It was there in the hat trick too, but they scaled it back... Personally, I think it's worth it. Realistically, you should expect 90 to 95 points

My buddies at Starbucks can never read my handwriting when u/0> I'm trying to track these betting lines. They always have to print out a slip for $0.67 just so they can figure out what I'm looking at.
They never update the lines that are already solid, like everywhere else. So if an over/under jumps by 4 or 5 points during the day, you're stuck trying to catch it at the old price.

They still have it listed at 200.5 online... man, what kind of sportsbook is this? Seriously.

Man, that ship has sailed. Honestly, I’ve been burned by this so many times before—I show up expecting one thing, only to see a totally different number on the receipt. Lately, I just make sure to type in $0.67 just to double-check everything because those clerks at the counter can be pretty clueless sometimes.

I'm going to keep an eye on Stanley from here on out. 😁

I don't usually bother looking at their catalog.

Look, they aren't dropping deals on basketball hoops every single day. Maybe once a week. If a deal lands, great. If not... I just hope people don't hold it against me..

Man, I still remember a few months back when some bookie over in Asia put Kirilenko and Ivanovic on a handicap against some random qualifier, but instead of the usual -6.5/+6.5 spread, they threw out some weird alternative line. Ever since then, it feels like these ladies' handicaps have almost completely vanished from the boards lol.

@Scott Jackson/">@@Scott Jackson wait, what kind of sportsbook are you even using to find those margins? I mean, seriously, where are you hiding?

They actually put a handicap on a match between someone like Coco Gauff and a random qualifier, but instead of the usual spread, they used this weird +/- setup. Ever since then, it feels like they almost never throw out those kinds of handicaps in the women's game! Hahaha.

Honestly, I still can't wrap my head around the difference between the minus and the plus spreads... like, what am I actually supposed to be betting on?🤷

Anyway, I'm putting my money on the Celtics today. I really think they're going to start a massive winning streak right after that tough loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers!!☕

Man, I remember back at the old sportsbook. Just two years ago, you could walk in and place a bet on teams from places like Turkey or Romania with massive favorites sitting at 1.45 odds—it was an absolute layup.
But then you’d see these ridiculous underdog lines, like an F2 driver at 4.68, because they had some amateur clerk running the numbers upstairs who clearly didn't know a thing about sports.
I used to follow all of this closely, but now they’ve made everything so complicated with these new authorization requirements on $6.75
that it just doesn't feel worth the headache anymore. I finally gave up on it. It's frustrating because their online odds are one thing,
but the numbers on the terminal are completely different, and by the time they actually print out your ticket, you're looking at a third set of numbers entirely ☕

They always seem to mess this one up; both teams scoring is a headache.

For example:

Both teams to score usually sits around 1.70.

But if you bet on just the home team (or away) to score, you're looking at 1.90.

Look, we’ve completely veered off track here... this is supposed to be about the NBA, so why on earth can't we just stick to the topic and stop making everything else about us?😛

Look, I’m not about to sit here and write some massive, deep-dive tactical breakdown just to drop a single pick, so I'll just leave it right here

Indiana -9.5

Honestly? Indiana is looking absolutely stacked—I mean, aside from Foster being out for the whole season, obviously—and they play their hearts out at home. They’ve been taking down much tougher squads than the Nets, who are basically bottom-feeders in the league right now anyway. To make things even better for Indy, Brooklyn is showing up without 4 or 5 key guys; they already lost Lopez, and now they’ve got decent rookies like Brooks, plus Stevenson and Okur on the injury report... basically, it's almost their entire starting lineup missing. I don't see it being an issue for the home team at all. I’m thinking we're looking at at least a 15 or 20 point blowout...

25w/25l ; +28,867 units; ROI: +12.18%

Indiana vs. New Jersey
Pick: Indiana -9.5

Odds: 1.917

Bookmaker: Pinnacle

Stake: 6/10

I'm tired—so I’ll keep this brief: why I’m taking this matchup.

Indiana is simply the superior squad—deeper bench, better rotation, and far fewer injury concerns. Compare that to the Nets, who are missing several key pieces today including Brooks, Okur, Stevenson, and James, on top of Lopez being out long-term. Deron Williams can't carry the load alone; he's struggled with his shooting this season and turns the ball over too often. New Jersey looked abysmal two days ago, losing by 21 to a Toronto Raptors team that was playing without their two best guys, Bargnan and Barbosa. It was a disaster. Indiana, meanwhile, is rolling—they just dismantled Orlando by 21 points on the road and have won four of their last six. Defensively, Indiana is elite—ranked 4th in the league, allowing just 90.4 points per game—while the Nets are bottom-tier, sitting 26th out of 30, giving up 98.6 points. Indiana also dominates the glass, and I expect them to control the boards against Humpires and his crew tonight.
Furthermore, these teams already met this season; Indiana took it 108-94 on New Jersey's home court. There is a clear pattern here, too—Indiana has dominated this series lately, winning eight straight against the Nets and 11 of their last 12. In eight of those eleven wins, they covered the spread comfortably. They've beaten them by double digits four times in their last seven outings.
