Instead of Hamilton, they'll likely roll with Brewer for now—though I'm not really sure what the rotation looks like with Watson out. Having John Lucas III playing that third guard spot doesn't exactly feel like a winning strategy, especially since he's only about 🤷 tall.
Maybe Rose gets more minutes, and I noticed his odds against Kobe are sitting at 2.20 in the betting lines. 🤷
My gut says the CHI-ATL game goes under, while LAL-HOU goes over.
Kobe is burning through a ton of possessions right now and his shooting is just... rough. He's taking 16-20 shots to get 2 points, shooting maybe 40%. And his three-point shooting? Absolute disaster. He’s gone 1-for-13 over the last three games. He's way below his seasonal average, which is usually around 33%, so I'm pretty sure he needs to start hunting those shots again. He averages 24.
In theory, I think he could actually outscore Rose tonight. Rose is averaging 19.8.
Houston allows about 96.5 points on average, jumping to 108.5 on the road, whereas Atlanta holds teams to 87.6 overall and 85.7 away. That's basically a 20-point spread of "room" to work with.
EDIT: Also, the odds for Rose dropped to 1.5 for under 24.5, while Kobe is still holding steady at 1.85 with a line of 26.5.
