Boston-New Jersey pick—looks like a pretty solid bet at 1.33 if you're looking to play it safe, I guess.

So, looking at the Denver-Sacramento matchup—it feels like Denver is coming in as the clear favorite here, probably sitting around 1.42 on the betting sites. I mean, they've got the edge, I guess, but anything can happen in the NBA when these two teams clash. It’s going to be interesting to see if Denver can actually pull it off smoothly or if Sacramento ends up making things messy. Just my two cents, though.

Wait, is Nikola Pekovic not playing for the Minnesota Timberwolves anymore?
I think I’ll just take it upon myself to write a little tribute.

Man, Boston looks like they're on a tear today 🙂.

It’s Ben Gordon's "revenge game" tonight—I'm eyeing the over on 16.5. (He absolutely dismantled Orlando by 26 points last time out.)

I'm leaning toward the under on Ray Allen; he'll likely see reduced minutes tonight given how easily they should handle this.

I might just have to buy myself a gift for being so wrong.

I'm taking the two-team parlay.
I'll explain my reasoning later—right now I'm glued to DraftKings, and those damn overnight shifts at the bank are killing me.

Well, you definitely messed up that bet. I was leaning towards Minnesota by 3.5, but their injury report is looking pretty rough right now:
Player
Nikola Pekovic C
Anthony Randolph F
Jose Barea G
Malcolm Lee G
Brad Miller C
Martell Webster G

They’ve only got four guys on the bench, and none of them are centers—unless you count Pekovic, and even he's a question mark for today's game.

I'll explain my reasoning later— right now I'm rushing over to DraftKings— because apparently the local branches have to close whenever they feel like it.

Can't really blame you if you're the one who deactivated your account in the first place. 😁

What do you guys think tonight over John Wall?... I guess Orlando's defense might be too slow to handle him tonight. He could probably draw a ton of fouls driving to the rim and maybe get Dwight Howard in some foul trouble since he's been struggling a bit lately...
Last night Bynum had 22 boards against Houston, so maybe today Blake Griffin just cruises over on rebounding against a team that bad? I feel like this game could go huge on points, maybe with Chris Paul feeding Griffin and Michael Jordan like a maniac 🙂
Really hoping we finally see the day where Dirk Nowitzki drops 30+ on someone... if he can't do it against the Phoenix Suns, then forget it!
LeBron James is averaging 34 against Indiana, definitely one of the best players out there alongside Kevin Durant right now, so he should probably hit the over :/
Carmelo Anthony dropped 36 on the Charlotte Bobcats last time, so they might just blow them out today with him taking control 🙂
And just a fan bet, Derrick Rose over 🙂
What are your thoughts?? 🙂

It is a beautiful day today. I am looking at the lines and seeing the Golden State Warriors at -7.5 against the San Antonio Spurs, especially since the Spurs are heading into this without their most vital player, Manu Ginobili.

With all these variables in play, it is difficult to determine who will actually land in those top 2 or 3 winning 😬

Brandon Clark5 said:What do you guys think about tonight's over on John Wall?... I honestly think he's going to be moving too fast for that Orlando defense to keep up. He could easily rack up a bunch of free throws just by driving hard to the rim, especially since he might bait Dwight Howard into foul trouble—and Howard’s been looking a bit shaky all season because he's still out there grinding through it...
Last night, Andrew Bynum pulled down 22 boards against Houston, so I feel like Blake Griffin could easily go over his scoring totals playing against a team that's such a disaster on the glass. Personally, I'm eyeing a massive over on total points here; I can see Chris Paul feeding Griffin and Michael Jordan like absolute maniacs. 🙂
I’m really holding out hope that the day has finally come where Dirk Nowitzki drops more than 30 on someone... if he can't do it against the Suns, he might as well just take that championship ring and shove it!
LeBron James is averaging 34 against Indiana. So far this season, he’s easily one of the most dominant players out there alongside Kevin Durant, so he should definitely hit the over :/
Carmelo Anthony dropped 36 on that last Charlotte Bobcats squad. They might get absolutely smoked tonight if he takes control of the game again. 🙂
And just for my own sanity, I'm feeling a Derrick Rose over 🙂
What’s the consensus?? 🙂

I'd play John Wall, LeBron James, and Dirk Nowitzki overs if you're looking for a heavier parlay.

Especially when you're talking about questionable plays or the betting odds... 😁

Instead of saying "big time," you could always go with something like a total blowout... 😁

Alright, I guess I can avoid those 2-3 mistakes, that's true... 😛

Luis Ariza isn't playing, Philly is at -5.5 online, and it looks like our guys are starting to drop too, though the German line is still holding at 1.8, while DraftKings opened up around 1.50...

Listen, man—I’m better off without those online betting accounts. I don't go wild chasing tickets.
On DraftKings, they really only focus on the NBA and international play—you rarely see anything local available, even for a tiny stake. 😁

I’m leaning toward a heavy underdog play—under 182.5 points at 1.86.

Today's slate looks solid—I’d probably take five or six parlays from this lineup. 🙂

James Taylor3 said:I’m feeling pretty good about taking the Under on that one, under 182.5 points at @1.862...

The slate today looks absolutely fantastic to me, I think I might actually play about 5 or 6 different parlays... 🙂

I’m right there with you on that, I really am. It's the same deal with the betting lines, but honestly, I don't mind it too much, you know? I feel like I sleep a lot better when I only have two plays going instead of dealing with this constant headache... 🙂

As for the Boston game, everything you said sounds spot on, they could easily pull away by 30+ if things just go their way, but I usually try to steer clear of taking them against the spread because they're getting older, and once the rotations start and they get a big lead, things can get a little unpredictable... though now I'm stuck in a bit of a dilemma, since the line is sitting at 181, but I'm just wondering how it'll play out when Boston brings in their third unit late in the fourth quarter ... 😁I'm just not sure...

Plus, with the margin at 181, we're looking at a potentially gritty, defensive battle... especially when you look back at those last three results where they played Washington and Detroit, games they should have blown out, yet they ended up finishing within about 10 or 12 points, which makes this whole thing feel pretty tricky if you ask me... 🤷

Minnesota - Memphis
Pick: Memphis

Odds: 2.58

Betting site: DraftKings

Unit: 3/10

I'm taking this one because I see value in Memphis. In my view, Minnesota doesn't justify being such heavy favorites here—even if they are playing significantly better than last season. I might have put down a few more units if I hadn't already gone heavy on Boston, but three is plenty.
Essentially, Minnesota—led by Kevin Love and Unknown—is playing much better than last year. They’re actually picking up wins now, and even their losses have been tight.
However, as Sam Diaz mentioned, Minnesota's bench is looking pretty thin for this matchup; most of their depth is sidelined with injuries. Then there's Unknown, who is technically the second man on the roster, but he’s notoriously inconsistent—you never really know what you're going to get.

Memphis is missing Zach Randolph, who will be out for the next eight weeks:

Grizzlies forward Zach Randolph will miss up to eight weeks after magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) revealed that he suffered a slight tear of the medial collateral ligament in his right knee

On the other hand, the Grizzlies have Marc Gasol anchoring the paint—he's elite on both ends of the floor. Plus, Mike Conley is back to running the show and setting the tempo. They also have a versatile defender who can chip in offensively when needed. Then there's their main guy, Rudy Gay, who's in good shape, though he could still be even better. The bench offers decent depth with Sam Young, the perennial talent O. J. Mayo, and backup playmaker Mario Chalmers. It's a solid squad, all things considered.

Minnesota is the favorite, sure, but not nearly as much as the odds suggest. If I were looking at this elsewhere, I'd want closer to 2.20 on Memphis; therefore, I'll just take the value here.
Memphis is the better team compared to the Timberwolves—they have more depth, and I think betting on them at these numbers makes sense.

Toronto - Cleveland
Pick: Over 191.5 points

Odds: 1.85

Betting site: Unknown

Unit: 3/10

I wrote about this matchup a few days ago when these same teams met in Cleveland. The line was 194.5 then, and it ended 96-104.
The line is even lower today, so I'm leaning toward the over again. Both of these teams are defensively lackluster, yet they can produce offensive output against teams in their tier. Toronto has actually been in decent form lately. They lost to Orlando in the final two minutes after hanging tough for 46 minutes, only to turn around and surprise the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden with a 90-85 win.
Andrea Bargnani and Jose Calderon have been in great form and are the primary reasons for the Raptors' recent success, alongside the flashy DeMar DeRozan.

Cleveland hasn't improved much, but the rookie Kyrie Irving has integrated well and is playing solid ball. They also have guys who could give Toronto trouble tonight, like Unknown, Unknown, and Klay Thompson.

I'm expecting another high-scoring affair; historically, games between these two tend to end with high totals on both sides.

Terry Rogers57 said:Regarding Boston—everything you said holds water. They could easily walk away with a 30+ point blowout if they feel like it. Personally, I usually steer clear of betting against them on the spread; they're veterans, and once they get a comfortable lead, the rotations start shifting and things get sloppy. It’s a dilemma, though. NJ is a mess, but I wonder how this plays out when Boston brings in their third unit late in the fourth quarter—😁who knows
.
Plus, the margin is sitting at 181—that implies a gritty game, doesn't it? Looking back at their last three results against Washington and Detroit—games they should have absolutely dismantled, yet they ended up hovering around a +10 or +12 margin—this looks pretty tricky if you ask me.🤷

I haven't a clue, but I think they should comfortably cover that spread.
The third unit isn't half bad—Bradley Beal, Patrick Dooling, and the rest. They can likely hold onto whatever cushion the stars build up. 🤷

It might also be a decent play to bet on the New Jersey Nets scoring under 83.5 points.

Denver-Sacramento
pick: Denver -11.5 @ 1.85

It’s pretty straightforward when you look at the numbers—this looks like a nightmare matchup for the Kings because their interior defense is basically a sieve, giving up an average of 53.7 points in the paint per game. On the flip side, Denver’s offense is sitting right up there in the league's top three, especially when it comes to dominating inside where they're putting up about 49.7 points through the lane.
If you look back at last night's game against the Memphis Grizzlies, Sacramento surrendered a staggering 72 points in the paint, which really tells you everything you need to know about how much they're struggling to protect the rim.
Since Denver had a nice little breather after that grueling back-to-back-to-back stretch, they should be feeling fresh and ready to absolutely dismantle a battered Sacramento squad that I just don't see providing much resistance.

Good evening, everyone. What do you all think of this little slip I've put together for a really small stake?

Derrick Rose (-26.5+)-Detroit-Chicago at 1.70, Under

Ray Allen (-17.5+)-Boston-New Jersey at 1.85, Under

LeBron James (-27.5+)-Miami-Indiana at 1.85, Over

Denver-Sacramento at 1.20, 1

Miami Heat-Indiana Pacers at 1.25, 1

Derrick Rose (-26.5) against Detroit and Chicago at 1.70. I’m leaning toward the under on this one.

I'm looking at the Ray Allen (-17.5) spread for the Boston-New Jersey game, and honestly, the odds are sitting at 1.85. I’m leaning toward the under on that one. It just doesn't feel right to me.

LeBron James (-27.5) for the Miami-Indiana game at 1.85—I'm looking at the over on this one. Honestly, I can't see him doing anything less than that. When he gets into a rhythm like this, there's really no stopping him, and the numbers just feel right. It’s a solid play if you're looking to ride with the King.

Denver-Sacramento

Miami-Indiana odds are sitting at 1.25 to 1.

United Kingdom. Odds: 8.72

That’s a killer parlay. Honestly, if you ask me, I think every single one of those picks is a winner. 👍

John Moore51 said:Hey everyone, what do you guys think about this slip for a tiny little stake?

Derrick Rose (-26.5) vs. Detroit and Chicago? Man, at 1.70, that’s just not enough juice for me! Are we really looking at these numbers right now? I don't know, I just don't see it!

Ray Allen (-17.5) in that Boston-New Jersey matchup? At 1.85 odds, you’re telling me he’s not hitting that over? I don't buy it for a second! Are we seriously thinking he's going to stay under that number? No way! It feels like a total trap, honestly. Why would anyone take the under here when everything points to him catching fire? I'm calling it now—it's a bad move to bet against him!

LeBron James (-27.5) for the Miami-Indiana game? At 1.85 odds? Are you kidding me right now?! You really think he’s going to drop that many? I mean, look, I love watching him, but betting on a massive spread like that feels like a total gamble, doesn't it? Is he actually going to go nuclear against Indiana, or are we just throwing money into a black hole here? Honestly, the math just feels off to me!

Denver-Sacramento? Are you kidding me right now? You really looking at those lines? I mean, look at the matchup! You’ve got one side sitting there at 1.20 like it's a sure thing, but does anyone actually believe that's a lock? Is anyone watching the same game I am? It feels like such a trap, honestly. Just one of those spreads that makes you want to throw your remote at the TV because it looks too easy on paper, but we all know how these things go once the tip-off actually happens!

Miami-Indiana is sitting at 1.25 to 1 right now, and honestly, who even knows what kind of madness we're about to see? It’s one of those matchups where you just sit back and wonder if anyone actually has a plan, you know? One side looks ready to run through a brick wall while the other is just trying to survive the night!

United Kingdom. Odds 8.72

If you ask me, Ray Allen is the only one I’m actually questioning here! I mean, seriously, why on earth are we looking at the under? I've been reading up on this and there isn't even a single mention of an injury or anything like that! From what I've been following, he stepped into the season looking absolutely solid, so I just don't get it!
