I heard they have a solid anesthesiologist 😁, but if word is he’s actually "wrecked" a few noses, then it makes you wonder how smart it is to book him... I'm genuinely torn. My plan was to get the surgery done ASAP (around 6 or 7 months out) since that's the only window I have free, but now it turns out the doctor I specifically wanted isn't exactly top-tier...🙄

I honestly can't stand noses that look like they were just molded flat and straight—like they came out of a factory mold without any character... and I see that Tončić does exactly that.

Honestly, my nose was looking even worse than hers... 😉 Those guys with the noses that practically jut out from their foreheads—they’ve got those aggressive, Roman profiles...

Kate Taylor59 said:I heard there's a really solid anesthesiologist around... 😁

Ima, Dr. Lojpur—he’s actually a pretty decent guy... 😁

But if he really did "screw up" a few noses—I mean, actually messed things up—then you have to wonder how much sense it makes to even go to him...

Everyone’s basically just "fixing" things according to their own standards—it's all subjective anyway. Personally, I think the noses people are calling "perfectly fixed" around here... well, they aren't exactly my idea of ideal. 🤣

There's also Dr. Lojpur; he seems like a genuinely nice guy. 😁

Every surgeon has "ruined" a few noses—it’s all subjective anyway. Personally, I think the noses people here are calling the "perfect" results are actually pretty botched. 🤣

😁 It's true, it's all subjective... I don't know, those photos from Dr. Glusac aren't exactly great... I mean, looking at the noses in them... and they weren't even taken head-on. We can't exactly claim he didn't photograph them that way just because the nose was swollen, and then Dr. Toncic posted them and suddenly they look amazing. 🙂

What do you really know about who’s holding the scalpel once you're under anesthesia? Even his son needs someone to practice on eventually... right? 😍

Honestly, I actually dig Glusac's whole "I'm the best" attitude. It's exactly why he's the one picking up the clinic phone, calling people back on his cell, handling all the emails, and doing the actual surgeries himself... 😂

And it's true... 🤷 I haven't heard anyone specifically complaining about Toncic... well, maybe something regarding the anesthesia... 😕 It's a fact that the man has twice the clinical experience of Dr. Glusac... but then again... that doesn't necessarily prove anything...

That's also what I like about Dr. Glusac 🙂

Kate Lee43 said:Regarding the anesthesia situation—look, they do it that way because it’s the cheaper route. That's why it's only costing $0.00. Honestly, if you actually like his work, just offer to pay extra for general anesthesia. If you want quality, Dr. Ivo Dzepina over at the Glumicic clinic is phenomenal; if you have the drive, go straight to him and ask for him specifically. He handles revisions, too—the man’s been a master at this for thirty years. Dr. Klapan is also top-tier. And don't think he's the only surgeon in Los Angeles besides Toncic; clearly, he's just using those low prices to lure people in. Not that I'm biased, per se, but let's be real: none of Bagatin's noses are worth mentioning, and neither is Ostojic.

I'll have to think about it... I'm honestly terrified of how this is all going to turn out. I've got circulation issues, occasional heart palpitations, low blood pressure... 👎😂

stormyharbor2, you are quite the perfectionist—we’ve definitely clocked that about you! 🤣
I agree that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. For instance, my husband never even realized I had a large nose until I actually pointed it out to him (though, perhaps he was simply preoccupied looking elsewhere 😂).
Personally, I feel my nose is completely out of proportion with my face. I suspect any decent surgeon could reshape it to look much better, but functionality is a major concern for me, and I haven't quite decided which doctor to trust yet... Besides, I have this nagging feeling that my nose has actually grown larger over the last few years. Has anyone else experienced that?

I was wondering if you might have a photo showing off the new nose? 😛

Hey, so he actually gave me permission to post one of these, provided I mask everything completely 🙂

Personally, I think it looks pretty good.

It’s not even about *my* perfectionism... it's more about those girls who are obsessed with having that perfect Barbie look. 🤷

Also, I feel like my nose has gotten a bit bigger over the last few years—has this happened to anyone else?

Maybe you lost some weight?

Check out these cosmetic surgery results—3 photos showing a rhinoplasty to slim down the nose.

Honestly, this is exactly what I want for my nose... I’ve been chatting with some experts and they all say Dr. Klapan is the absolute best choice. They recommend him as a top-tier ENT who also specializes in facial plastic surgery. The man has dual specializations and years upon years of experience!
...I'm just sitting here reading his website right now—so impressed

...and those before-and-after shots look totally spot on to me.

I honestly love Glusac's "I'm the best" attitude—it's why I actually call the office myself, call his cell directly, handle my own emails, and get him to operate... 😂

That's what scares me too—there are two of them and you never know which one will show up, and it looks like the younger one lacks experience.

And everything you guys have said about Glusac sounds purely positive to me. Most doctors—not just plastic surgeons—are massive egotists who won't give you even two minutes of their time. But this guy picking you up in an auto, putting you up in a hotel, spending hours talking through everything during consultations, and giving detailed email replies? It sounds unreal. Honestly, I'd go just for that alone, even if some of the noses on his site aren't quite my style.

Sorry if I overstepped—but was steelangler88 the one you had your first procedure with, and feralwolf47, was it you? Your nose looks great.

Greetings, everyone! 🙂
So, after lurking on this thread for quite some time, I’ve finally decided to register because I am officially committed to having the surgery. However, reading through these recent posts has left me feeling incredibly conflicted; I honestly have no idea what criteria I should even use to decide which surgeon is the smartest choice.
Up until now, my eyes were set solely on Dr. Glusac, but now I'm second-guessing everything... rustygardener172, you went to him and were happy with the results. Would you mind terribly sending me a photo via private message?
What really bothers me is that, in addition to everything else, my primary goal is to work on the tip—specifically narrowing and reducing it—but then someone mentioned that Dr. Glusac doesn't actually touch the tip much at all.
Does he actually respect his patients' wishes, or does he just do things his own way? Some of the noses he's done look fantastic, but others still look far too large to me... 🤷

I was looking at Dr. Klapan's work just now, and frankly, I don't see a significant difference between those noses either; they still look oversized to me. Perhaps my expectations are simply too high... but then again, I've always been a perfectionist by nature. Good grief...

Have you lost weight, perhaps?

No, I haven't. My weight has been pretty much the same for years—I don't count that extra 2 kg when winter rolls around. I remember someone on this forum mentioning once that cartilage can actually grow if breathing is restricted due to something like a deviated septum.
For what it's worth, my nose is remarkably similar to the first woman shown in the photos from the Dr. Klapan clinic, though obviously, that was the "before" shot 🤣 . It sticks out like a sore thumb—or rather, like a lump in a bowl of chunky chili 😂

This is exactly what happened to me, which is why I finally decided to pull the trigger and go through with surgery! 😠
They say your nose never actually stops growing; it’s just that for most people, it isn't nearly as noticeable. But now, I’m starting to seriously wonder what I’ll look like in ten or twenty years... I mean, it has always been on the larger side, but over the last five years, the growth has become impossible to ignore.

I haven't had my surgery yet, but I did email Dr. Glusac some photos of my nose... he told me right away that the tip definitely needs to be narrowed. I suppose I'll have to see if his opinion changes once I actually show up for an in-person consultation, so I'll let you guys know. 🙂

I've been leaning toward Dr. Glusac this whole time, but now I'm second-guessing everything... rustygardener172, you actually went to him and were happy with the results. Could you please DM me some photos?
What’s really eating at me is that, besides everything else, I desperately need work done on the tip (narrowing and refining it), but then I read someone online saying that Dr. Glusac doesn't really touch the tip at all.
Does he actually listen to what patients want, or does he just do whatever he wants? Some of his rhinoplasty results look incredible, but others still look way too big to me... 🤷
...

I sent those photos over to your inbox, so take a look and decide for yourself if he should have messed with my tip or not.
That whole thing about him not touching the tip is total nonsense. In my case, he didn't touch it because he didn't think it was necessary, and I didn't push for it.
He totally respected everything I asked for, though I didn't have a massive list of demands. 😁
And about those noses looking too big after surgery... honestly, tastes differ. Someone probably wanted that specific look and thinks it looks great. He's not going to force that style on you if it's not what you're looking for...

Hmm, I have to say, these noses from Dr. Klapan look pretty good to me... does anyone know where he's practicing? Has anyone here actually dealt with him before?

Oh, please do let us know! 😁
As for me, I’m planning to head in either this summer or by the end of the year, but make no mistake—I am getting this surgery. I just want a nose that looks normal. 😛
Ladies, when you go in for your consultations... is it considered standard practice to bring along a few photos of different noses to show the doctor what you're aiming for, or would that be totally unprofessional?
I really want to get at least a rough idea of what's possible. I want a nose that actually suits my face, and I'm hoping the doctor might even tell me upfront if my expectations are totally unrealistic.
