Do you want a festival that basically turns into one big concert for a single superstar with a handful of cheap filler acts? Or do you want a festival that actually feels like a cohesive, logical lineup where everything makes sense together...
Personally, I think the second option is much better and smarter for the long haul. Eventually, the landscape for American festivals will probably shift so much that seeing names commanding $500k becomes the norm, but for now, I think everyone should just be happy we have this opportunity. Like I said, we’re getting to see incredible bands for relatively little money...
If you look back five years, you would have had to pay way more for a ticket like this, not to mention the extra cash needed for travel and hotels in a major European city. So, we just need patience. Things will settle into place eventually. Honestly, things are already way, way better than they were five or ten years ago. 🙂
I agree again... personally, I lean more toward the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, though I’d happily catch Terraneo if I ever get the chance. And I absolutely agree that audiences have become spoiled over the last five years! There is something else about Inmusic that bugs me, though... their arrogance and the way they treat their customers. For instance, you, Jesse Sanchez60, are all over the place and you don't mind answering a thousand different questions from fans on various forums. When you say you'll announce an artist, you actually do it, and people really appreciate that kind of transparency. But these guys... first, they present every single act coming out of their "dream factory" as this bombastic, once-in-a-lifetime miracle that we are lucky to hear—which, let's be honest, isn't always the case. Second, they drip-feed announcements without any logic, often lagging behind all the other major US festivals. They'll say "ticket info coming soon," and then nothing happens. They'll say "tickets go on sale in three months," and then the tickets aren't available for the entire month. Then there's the vague info regarding discounts and so on. I could go on forever.
