The thing is, they'll probably end up playing at 4:00 PM, so who knows what they'll actually perform? By that time, there won't be anyone left in the crowd anyway.

That’s just how things have always been here in the States.
At Coachella, crowds actually start gathering around 6 PM, whereas if you go to a show in the Rockies, for instance, you won't see a single soul until at least 8.

I picked up my ticket way back in March when they were still listed for the 22nd and 23rd of June. Is that pass actually valid for the kickoff or the first day as well?

Yeah, it’s worth it—that note is exactly what you need to look at. I did the exact same thing, but honestly, I can't even get into the damn pre-party or whatever they're calling Day Zero this year. They really threw us a curveball with those terms.😁

I think someone actually mentioned this maybe six months ago, so I guess it’s finally official now that they've been confirmed.

Honestly, that extra zero day they tacked on might actually be my favorite part of the whole thing, tbh. Between K3P and Alice in Chains...
it’s basically what saves this lineup from looking pretty rough at first glance.

I guess it all just comes down to personal taste! I’ve always got a little something for me every day, so honestly, I think the lineup looks pretty great so far
For the first day, to be fair, I'm definitely hitting up Kawasaki 3P.
On day two, I'll probably catch Billy Idol and Rise Against.
Then on the third day, I might check out Flogging Molly, Pendulum, Dubioza, Skindred, and Massive Attack.

So yeah, it's looking more than good enough for me👍

it’s basically the only thing saving this weirdly mid lineup from being a total disaster.

You're gonna end up loving it, tbh 🙄

Does anyone happen to know what color the wristbands for Day Zero are going to be? 😉
I won't lie $83, I am dying to see Alice in Chains—like, really, really dying to catch them.
I’ve honestly thought about just making my own wristband and trying to sneak my way in or something. 🤷
If that doesn't work out, I guess I'll just swim across and hide in the bushes.

I guess I won't pay $83, but man, I really want to see Alice in Chains, like, really, really badly.
Maybe I'll just make my own wristband and try to sneak around somewhere or something.🤷

🙏🙏🙏

I suppose if you're feeling stingy about $83 for a band you actually want to see, then that's kind of sad, I guess.
And even if they were to hold a solo concert here in the States, I'm pretty sure the price would end up being exactly the same.

And honestly, I don't think it’s all that bad. Look, a friend of mine is living on minimum wage—roughly $700 a year. Is he really expected to drop more than 10% of his paycheck just to catch a band he absolutely loves? Between that and trying to cover rent and utilities, the math just doesn't work. I guess we can start picking fights with people who are just students living in a big city away from home or folks struggling with tight budgets—if that's where we're headed. I truly wish him the best, I really do. But before jumping to such desperate measures, maybe he should try his luck with those giveaway contests—who knows, something might actually pan out before things get this bleak.

Let's not start a war against people who are basically broke students living in a different state or folks struggling to make ends meet. If he wants to go, more power to him—I truly wish him luck. But before he starts making desperate moves, maybe try being a bit more strategic about those sweepstakes and giveaways—who knows, might hit a jackpot before you have to resort to extreme measures.

To be honest, the whole festival just feels a little too pricey for my budget right now, so I’m holding onto my cash since I can't really justify dropping $83 just for a few hours of music.
Since Alice in Chains is pretty much the only act on my radar, I was thinking about following the lead of some friends who managed to sneak in last year, so I might give it a shot, haha. 🙂 wish me luck.
Actually, it just crossed my mind that a buddy mentioned he might be able to help me land some work out there, so if that pans out, awesome, but if not, no big deal—I'll just find another way to make it happen. 🙂

Yeah, I get where you're coming from, and I suppose the situation is pretty rough, maybe even a disaster. But personally, if there's a band I absolutely, desperately want to see, I'll probably find a way to scrape some cash together for a ticket, and then I'll just stay in for two or three months straight since I never know when I'll actually get another chance to see them.

I think you're exaggerating a bit here. If I want to see a certain band that badly, I can definitely swing those $83 without it being a disaster. 😉
I'll just skip the cigarettes for 20 days, stay in, and skip my daily coffee or beer runs. I doubt most guys aren't already spending at least part of their money on little luxuries anyway...

Maybe I'm exaggerating a bit. Not by much, though. Or maybe I am. Honestly, it doesn't matter—case closed.
