driftingcanyon67 said:And here's another thing—if my memory isn't totally failing me—last year the disclaimer about camera gear basically said "no professional equipment allowed," but this year they've changed it to say "audio and visual recording equipment is prohibited unless you have prior permission from the organizers." So... what does that actually mean? Like, can I still snap some photos on my phone or a basic camera, or are we talking total blackout? 😳

Wait, seriously? Not even a quick photo? 😕

Sure, you can bring a camera or even a small umbrella. Unless, of course, the photographer isn't actually a pro. If you're worried about security checking your gear, just shove everything at the bottom of your backpack. They don't usually dig through bags much. Especially if you're a woman 😍 😂

Yeah, they probably won't let in those DSLR photographers—you know, the ones with the massive lenses that news crews use.
But I suspect smaller cameras shouldn't be an issue, pretty much like any other concert in the States. 🙂

Are you really sure about the umbrella thing?

Quick heads-up—they’ve got rain ponchos available at the booth near the main plaza. I grabbed $1.50 🤣🤣🤣 five of them right away 😁
just to be safe.

I’m not 100% certain, but if I recall correctly, they let umbrellas in at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival a couple of years ago. Honestly, just wear a raincoat. It’s way easier. Umbrellas are a pain because you have to carry them the whole time.😁
Maybe just sneak it in your backpack, or just wing it. If you grab one of those cheap little ones from a CVS or a Walgreens, it won't be a huge deal if security confiscates it at the gate.
But you should probably bring a raincoat just in case.

I'm hanging out by the main stage right now! I've been helping clear some paths, but just a heads-up—some areas of the lawn are getting pretty muddy, so definitely come prepared... :-)

God, I hate this rain. Honestly. The atmosphere at the horse racing track was actually pretty decent, but come on—it’s June. I’m trying to die from a heatwave, not from slipping through literal mud. 😢😢

Oh, give me a break. Now I actually have to go hunt down some damn rubber boots just to make it through the day. I swear, this freaking weather is absolutely relentless. -.-

Taylor Fisher4 said:So, where did you end up getting those boots? 😁

It’s like being stuck in a frozen wasteland of footwear. Sure, you can find gear in some big cities, but if you're picking up stuff from a small town in the Midwest, it’s useless. They aren't insulated. Once that rubber goes cold, you're done for. I guess it's impossible to get your feet warm again. Maybe just stay inside. 😁

It’s probably better to just dress for the weather—layer up, bring a raincoat, grab some boots. Otherwise, you're going to spend the first thirty minutes sweating through your clothes only to freeze your tail off later. Then you're just cold and cranky. At least I know I would be. 😁
This is how I dress if I actually want to enjoy the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Maybe.
I only bought these because of Metallica. I figured they’d be fine for the horse racing track. I wouldn't have picked this specific pattern—yellow leopard, seriously?—but since it isn't even their season yet, I guess I didn't have much of a choice.
Well, it finally paid off. I wore them to the Metallica concert, and now I’ll be wearing them to Coachella. I suppose there will be plenty of other chances down the road. They aren't exactly cheap. $66 :/

Look, the crews running these festivals have been doing this for years. They know how June works in America.
They should’ve seen this mess coming and realized the weather would suck again. Instead of letting us play Woodstock in freezing mud, they could have at least put down some heavy-duty rubber matting in front of the main stage. 😁 It's common sense. ☕

BUT regarding Wednesday, the forecast is looking much better, and that’s all that matters to me. 😍

They really should have seen this weather coming—it's always the same story. Instead of actual decent weather, we get stuck with this mess, yet people still insist on booking outdoor festivals. It’s like expecting a sunny day at Coachella only to get rained out. 😁 They could have easily leveled things up by adding some rubber matting—at least right in front of the main stage. Let's not try to play Woodstock games. Stuck in the freezing mud. ☕

As for Wednesday—the forecast is looking way better, which is a huge win in my book. 😍

Ehehe, here’s a little something for the newer generations—think of it like a mini version of '94.😁

so why can't I go anymore... anyone interested in grabbing a ticket? It's a student discount one, paid 150 bucks... you can have it for 100 😉
I'll be in NYC tomorrow if that works 😁

I’m clearly heading out to buy some boots today, even if I am skipping the festivities at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival today😍 Hopefully, we don't get rained out tomorrow, though I'm bracing myself for a total mud pit ☕

Alright, I’m heading out to go dig up some mud monsters—they’re gonna love this mess! Anyway, quick question for the group: does anyone know if I'll run into trouble if I just show up tomorrow and try to buy a camping-only pass? Like, is there actually going to be space left? 🤔 I already have my ticket, but I’m such an idiot—completely forgot about the camping part.

Kate James39, I'll take it if it's still available. Just sent you a DM with my cell number. Cheers.
