Around 4 seconds, I’d guess?
The predictions are looking more like 3 or less☕

Give me a break... they should just force them to change tires with a single wheel gun... then we'll see who's actually ready for the real deal. 😁

Just like NASCAR, doing two at a time 😬

I mean, if the drivers had to swap their own rubber while sprinting toward the cars at the start of the race, we’d be watching a total disaster instead of a sport.😉

When someone uses a phrase like "around 4 seconds," they're implying a window between 3 and 5 seconds. ☕

Word is Red Bull is actually 1.8 seconds faster 🤷

I suppose it all comes down to how you choose to define delta time.
In Formula 1, we generally measure everything in hundredths rather than full seconds, don't we? ☕
Then again, there isn't exactly a rulebook explicitly defining this, so I guess you can interpret it however you like. ☕

stormybadger8 said:Apparently, Red Bull is running about 1.8 seconds faster than everyone else 🤷
Honestly, that’s just the tire change timing. You still have to account for the car being lifted and lowered, not to mention those pit crew guys need to clear out of the way first, right? 😬
At this rate, I’m half expecting to see at least one car racing on six wheels by the end of the race 😬

Well, they unfortunately changed the rules because having those slower crew members running around put the drivers in real danger. Besides, can you imagine the absolute chaos if they tried to run Formula 1 like that? It would be a total mess, honestly.

stormybadger8 said:Word on the street is that Red Bull is somehow 1.8 seconds faster. Is that even possible? 🤷
From a dead stop to moving again in just 1.8 seconds? Impossible.
mistybear87 said:That really depends on how you define time delta.
In Formula 1, we don't measure success in seconds. We measure it in hundredths. ☕
Of course, there isn't a single rule written down anywhere. So, feel free to think whatever you like. ☕

mistybear87 said:they actually changed that rule because the slower drivers were getting put in danger, and honestly, if you look at how Formula 1 operates, it would have just turned into pure chaos lol
mistybear87... uh... I was just kidding 😉
Though I guess I have to admit, seeing something like that unfold would be pretty interesting....😁

No matter how tense or neck-and-neck the competition gets, you have to admit it—people watch Formula 1 for Michael Schumacher. ☕
Alonso is at Ferrari, McLaren pulled off a brilliant loophole to bypass the rules, Senna is back in Formula 1, Vettel already signaled he’s a title contender after just one qualifying session, and Lotus has returned to the grid, but...
None of them create this kind of buzz. None of them stir the public or drive Formula 1 ratings quite like the magnificent and great—Michael Schumacher.
Love him or hate him, you just have to accept that He is the Greatest of All Time. 🙏
Whether he can clinch the championship with Mercedes? That’s practically a given.
With that level of talent, that depth of knowledge, and that German precision, all he needs to secure the title is the technical expertise of a powerhouse like Mercedes.
And everyone knows Mercedes has it.
To the haters of the great Michael Schumacher: try to keep your cool.
Michael is back, and he looks more determined than ever. 🙏

Hmm, I don't know these players personally, but it feels to me like the tension between them goes much deeper than just being a star and their fan base.😍🙂

Alonso is over at Ferrari, McLaren managed to pull off a brilliant little loophole to skirt the regulations, Senna is back in Formula 1, Vettel basically signaled he’s a title contender during his very first qualifying session, and even Lotus has made their return to the grid, but...
None of them, absolutely none of them, stir up nearly as much dust, ignite the fans, or drive the Formula 1 viewership numbers quite like the Grand and Great—Michael Schumacher.
You can love him, or you can absolutely despise him, but you really ought to just accept the fact that He Is The Greatest Of All Time. 🙏
Whether or not he actually clinches the championship with Mercedes is a conversation that is, quite frankly, beyond debate.
When you have a figure of this magnitude, possessing this level of intellect and that legendary German precision, the only ingredient left for a title run is the technical know-how provided by a powerhouse like Mercedes.
And everyone knows Mercedes has that in spades.
To all those who hate on the Great Michael Schumacher, you might want to take a deep breath and try to keep your cool.
Michael has returned, and he looks more determined than ever. 🙏

That would basically turn into an extreme sport, wouldn't it? Just imagine how many "accidental" trips or mishaps there'd be—like the slower guys getting trampled in the pit lane stampede when everyone rushes out at once.🤣😂
stormybadger8 said:Word is Red Bull is about 1.8 seconds faster.🤷
Well, damn.🤣 😂
Jason Campbell70 said:No matter how tense the competition gets or how close the power levels are, you have to admit—people watch Formula 1 for Michael Schumacher.☕
.....
Keep telling yourself that...☕
