Man, they’d absolutely wreck him. Throw in some noir vibes, falling snow, a busted-up face—all that stuff—and he’d be looking at a solid 15 years behind bars. Not that I know exactly how old Max Payne is; I'm guessing somewhere between 30 and 35, not that I feel like checking right now. If he’s younger, honestly, even that wouldn't save him. Truth is, I can totally see him in that part. He's got the look, the attitude, the whole "vibe" down perfectly.🤣 He’s just older, yeah...

Look, maybe I'm being cliché, but the Star Wars prequels—I think I just went in with totally unrealistic expectations. It’s likely because you can't recreate that specific magic from the 80s...

I had my highest hopes for Scent of a Woman, mostly because it was Pacina's first Oscar win, but even with his performance being really good—though not quite great if you ask me—I didn't walk away with much. It was a solid enough movie, just a notch above your average flick, I guess.

Just because a movie is low-budget doesn't mean it has to be total garbage.

Truth. Look, just because a flick is low-budget doesn't mean it's automatically trash. But we’re talking about an Asimov film here. Seriously. Everyone involved in this project knew before they even rolled cameras that the end result would be unwatchable junk. The director knew it, the actors knew it, the producers knew it—hell, even the janitor at the studio knew it. You're the only one surprised by how bad it is.😬

Man, there’s plenty to chew on there. Depends on how deep you want to go down the rabbit hole. Out of all those big action flicks, DK hits on some seriously intense themes that actually make you think, even if the characters and the plot are totally over the top.

So, yeah, there’s a bit of philosophical pondering going on, but it doesn't feel overly heavy-handed or anything. Personally, I think it’s one of the better ones out there—if I had to nitpick, though, keeping with the theme, I felt Dent’s descent into being the villain was a little rushed... maybe a few more scenes could have smoothed out that transition. Other than that... it's a great flick. I respect anyone who thinks it's a bad movie, but it feels like someone always brings that up in threads like this. It would be nice if people actually specified what they were looking for instead, especially since there's so much good material in here—and in some of the other movies mentioned earlier—to really sink your teeth into regarding the acting and everything else.

Most of the films that have picked up an Oscar over the last fifteen years or so (with the exception of Gladiator).
Burn After Reading, man... I was honestly expecting something much more substantial from them...
