I’m curious—and I know I’m not the only one here asking—why on earth are Satanism threads even permitted in the religion section? Since when was Satanism actually considered a religion?

On Satanism: Part 1.
On Satanism: Part 2.This thread has devolved into this first one.
On Satanism: Part 3.A topic that is slowly just becoming a thread "about Satanism."

Here are those three, and I’m sure there are several others I haven't linked yet.
Satanism isn't a religion; if that's the case, why is it allowed in the religion section? By that logic, I could start a thread about Honda since I believe in its quality🙄

Furthermore, that first thread is nothing more than a chat room for Satanists with zero room for actual debate. Isn't it about time these disgraceful topics were finally purged from the forum?

So I actually asked one of the mods about this a few weeks back—but hey, whatever, it doesn't really matter now!

I’ve posted on this topic before, and honestly, let me tell you—unless you're out there identifying as a Satanist, you'll just get absolutely shredded verbally by all the Satanists who jump in to shut down any actual debate.

Look, there’s a whole spectrum of more or less organized belief systems that fall under the umbrella of Satanism, which makes it a religion whether people like it or not.

Besides that, this first thread is just straight-up chatting by Satanists. There’s nothing to debate here, so shouldn't these shameful topics finally be scrubbed from the forum?

They started the thread specifically to answer questions about Satanism because, for some reason, they think they're the experts on the subject.
Why would I ban them for that?
Are they calling for violence?
Vandalism?
Threatening anyone?
If you really think they're just using it as a chat room, just report them and we'll handle it.

So if you're claiming it doesn't even count as a religion, why on earth is it categorized under religion on the PDF?

Satanism isn't classified as a religion anywhere—not by any stretch of the imagination, obviously, since it certainly isn't one...

By that logic, can I just start a thread about Honda since they have a whole belief system centered on the idea that their cars are actually good?

Alright, Honda might not be the ultimate success story, but that’s just the reality of it.

Heh, both Satanists and rigid Catholics can be incredibly exhausting when they start preaching or acting like they have all the answers. Why should religion be strictly reserved for Catholics 🤷?

It isn't just about them; it's about all religions—Islam, Judaism, Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism...
these are the established faiths...

Satanism doesn't even qualify as a religion, so don't be dense.

Neither agnosticism nor atheism counts as a religion, so this topic fits perfectly fine. ☕

Where else would you put a discussion on Satanism? Spirituality? New Age stuff? A hippie forum?

NQR,

1. You can try lecturing me on wisdom once you learn how to properly lowercase religion names 🙄
2. religion = belief, even if that belief is centered around a golden calf. Satanism might not be a religion to you, but to someone like Anton LaVey (and the black attorneys who follow him), it certainly 🤷is.

I'll "lecture" whenever I feel like it.

By the way, religion is defined by worship.

Just as you should probably know how to capitalize names—starting with your own username.

Where exactly would you categorize Satanism? Under spirituality? Alternative beliefs? Or maybe under Tulumar?

I wouldn't put it anywhere at all.

I’m jumping back into this thread after reading a fair amount of nonsense, most of which seems to be coming from self-proclaimed "believers."😉 First off, they just don't seem to grasp that Satanism isn't some monolithic religion or singular belief system. It’s actually a loose collection of ideas that are often wildly different or even directly at odds with one another, all tucked under the same label. You’ve got theistic types—monotheists, polytheists, pantheists, pagans, you name it—then you have the skeptics, and then there are the atheists. To some, Lucifer is a literal deity; to others, he’s just a figure or demon pulled from Christian lore; and to a third group, the whole thing is just nonsense for children and fools. Furthermore, many branches of Satanism possess all the hallmarks of a formal faith, which is why they belong in the Religion section.

NQR: Does atheism count as a religion? Just a reminder that by any standard definition, atheism IS NOT a religion, regardless of how much Catholics or similar groups try to argue otherwise.😉
Should we also purge "Why Atheism?" or "Atheism - 1000 Reasons Why..." and similar topics from the Religion section?

It’s basically like everything just goes up in flames all at once—total chaos! Like when a massive storm hits the Midwest and just wipes the slate clean—wild stuff. kaže:
Man, both the Satanists and the hardcore Catholics can be such a pain when they start preaching their "wisdom" at you—so intense! Like, why does religion even have to be this exclusive club just for Catholics? 🤷?

The ".pdf" file type should definitely be strictly reserved just for religion—no question about it!
Who even is this guy? Sounds like some old-school legend to me! kaže:
Agnosticism and atheism aren't even religions—which honestly makes them such a killer topic to dive into! ☕
Where would you even put a chat about Satanism? Like—spirituality? An alternative lifestyle? Or maybe just some deep-dive counterculture vibes?

Facts...
Let's talk about alternatives before we even get to the religion stuff!
Wait—is that a typo or just some super intense Wagner vibes? Either way, I'm here for the drama! — like, total end-of-the-world energy, right? 😂 kaže:
NQR—man, what a wild ride! It’s like watching a rollercoaster go through a loop-de-loop while you're eating popcorn—totally unpredictable!

You can come at me with all that wisdom once you learn that religions aren't even supposed to be capitalized—seriously! 🙄
2. Religion is basically just belief—nothing more, nothing less!Even if it’s just some gold-plated nonsense to you—Satanism might not be your thing, but for someone like Anton LaVey (and those dark offices he hangs out in), it's definitely a full-on religion! 🤷

So, if the PDF isn't titled "Belief," why on earth did they go with "Religion"? Just feels a bit off—like calling a burger a "protein slab" or something!🤷
Those two things aren't even in the same ballpark—otherwise, people would definitely start a massive flame war about Honda!☕
It’s pretty much a given—just like how there are recognized religions and sovereign nations out there!
NQR? Is that even a thing?! lol—sounds like some weird tech jargon to me! 😅 kaže:
He wouldn't know where to put it if his life depended on it—honestly, zero clue!

I mean, let's not go overboard right now—no need to get carried away!🙂
I'm all for chatting about whatever—seriously, talk about anything!—but I totally agree that religion shouldn't be part of those debates.

But honestly, I think that’s exactly why we see all those endless complaints and critiques about the new mods in that PDF. It sucks because even if they fixed things without swapping anyone out, nobody actually seems to care enough to take a solid suggestion seriously—like, why even bother? Most of it just feels like a few people's subjective gripes when they really should be looking at the big picture and trying to make the vibe in that document feel more like a Sunday afternoon NFL game!

As far as I'm concerned, Satanism functions as a sort of religious (even if it’s more quasi-religious) viewpoint, though I struggle to see how one would classify Satanists as a religious group, given that I view the very concept of Satanism as inherently anti-religious. If we define religion as the belief in a Deity (in a philosophical sense, such as the concept of omnipresence found in Buddhism), then that doesn't apply here. It is an anti-theistic concept, if I can put it that way.

It is fine, I suppose, for someone to act as a buffer against the onslaught of religious fanatics of all stripes, even if those include Satanists. 😁 However, I am certainly not in favor of counting them among the official religions that boast hundreds of millions of followers, such as Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Judaism, or Hinduism... nor am I in favor of granting them what they have been seeking for so long: having their own sticky thread on this forum (something which was repeatedly insisted upon by a well-known forum Satanist, Innocent, who happens to be banned now).

I think it would be a significant mistake to grant Satanism that kind of importance. Moreover, it would essentially devalue the very nature of the forum's religious discussions. Our local Satanists are mostly just kids, really; they are only here to mess with those who have become too deeply entrenched in their faith, and they often do a decent job of it 🤣, but none of them actually take Satanism seriously. 🙂

NQR, you're totally misreading me. I said it's a religion. Go back and read my post again.
Besides, if you guys actually start The Church of Apple, how are we even supposed to stop you from making your own threads? 🤷You’d probably just look pretty ridiculous to everyone else 😬who isn't obsessed with Ford like you are, but hey, at least you'll have your little services. You'll be a religion. 👍 😁

If you define religion as believing in a Deity (philosophically speaking: an all-encompassing force, like in Buddhism), then that doesn't apply to Satanism. It's an anti-God concept, if that makes sense.

Giving Satanism that much weight would be a massive mistake. Plus, it would pretty much cheapen the actual religions on this forum. Most of our local Satanists are just kids, honestly. They're just here to mess with people who have gotten way too deep into their faith, and they usually do a good job at it 🤣 but none of them actually take Satanism seriously. 🙂

BTW religion = worship

Just as you should probably realize that names start with capital letters (referring to your username)

Ouch, you actually got me there 😂 😂 😂 bitch's got attitude 🙂

Now listen, worship = liturgy, a ritual act performed by members of a specific faith. It’s pathetic that I, an apparently illiterate😂 person, have to teach you this.

Nicole Perez75 said:Then why isn't the PDF called "Belief" instead of "Religion"🤷

Because they are synonyms, and the one chosen (logically) is the more widely recognized term derived from Latin. Jesus, 🙄why are you acting so surprised when it's completely obvious?

Nicole Perez75 said:Those two things aren't the same, otherwise we could just open a thread about Ford over there

Is that Ford your strongest argument? Your best example? No wonder you still haven't managed to strip Satanism out of Religion😂

Nicole Perez75 said:In the world, there are recognized religions just as there are recognized states.

Once again, darling, it takes much more than just one opinion from someone like you for something to be recognized. What I mean is, you don't recognize Satanism, but the people who follow it do. Let them ramble in their own threads—you don't have to read them.
Or is it mandatory?

Especially since they clearly don't have any incidents—at least nothing as big as what's happening in the rest of this forum. You all act like such fanatic 😂, yet you still have the nerve to talk trash about Jehovists and their preaching 🙏

Listen up, worship = liturgy, which is just a fancy way of saying a ritual act performed by members of a specific faith. It’s honestly kind of sad that I—an apparently "uneducated" 😂 person—have to be the one to school you on this.

Since they're basically synonyms, the more common term with those Latin roots was picked—it's just logic! Jesus, why are you acting so shocked?

And again, darling, you need way more than just one Nicole Perez75 opinion to validate someone. Like, I don't personally follow Satanism, but people who do? Yeah, they exist. Just let them ramble in their own threads—you don't have to read them.
Unless you actually have to?

Especially since they clearly aren't causing any drama here, unlike the rest of the forum. How can you call yourselves fanatics when you're out here talking trash about Jehovists and their preaching 🙏

The amount of drama people cause on this forum is wild...

I see you're running low on ways to provoke me, so you're resorting to 😂😂🙄 and other dumb emojis... just keep going...

And you, my dear "subjective" friend—since I'm obviously your absolute least favorite person—maybe try working in agriculture? I have a feeling you'd be way more useful there.

Is that Ford your strongest argument? Your best example? No wonder you haven't managed to strip Satanism away from Religion yet 😂

Not necessarily, could be a Chevy.☕
