John Young89 said:What brought you out there? It was a rather dull afternoon; I found the Nerd act to be quite tedious and excessively loud. While I don't hold them in particularly high regard, I decided to stick around to listen, though I spent much of my time wandering aimlessly until Tricky and Passion were scheduled to perform. They ended up starting about an hour and a half behind schedule, but I suppose that is just how things go. It was acceptable, I suppose, though I find it somewhat perplexing when an artist with seven albums chooses to spend their set performing covers—I believe they did it twice. His decision to jump into the crowd during the encore was certainly the highlight of the day. While passing the time, I wandered over to the 101 Stage where some dubstep was playing; it was pleasant enough until they transitioned into reggae, which is a genre I truly cannot stand listening to outdoors. All in all, one could have easily survived the weekend without attending the second day.

I was actually there, though it wasn't part of my original plan. 😉 Once I had already made my way inside, I figured I might as well stay and wait for Moby, haha... 👍

To be honest, the rest of the lineup didn't capture my interest very much, especially once I heard that the entire schedule had been pushed back.

Those Editors guys, if that is indeed their name, weren't particularly impressive to me; they felt a bit lackluster, honestly. Perhaps the last few songs were slightly better.

The Nerd performance was quite ridiculous... at one point he shouted, "I wanna see some fat chicks on the stage!!" It was a bit much. 🙄

As for Moby, I have already expressed my thoughts—he was absolutely magnificent, truly beyond words. I honestly never dreamed I would hear "Feeling So Real" performed live. 😁 😁 🙏 🙏

Regarding the other stages—they were underwhelming. Tent 101 was virtually empty when we arrived, and I lost interest shortly thereafter.
The metal acts didn't appeal to me in the slightest (no offense 👍)
I can't recall the name of the group that played before the headliner, but they failed to leave much of an impression on me either.

My only real regret is missing Hatebreed. Everything else was... well, more or less just 🤮
mediocre.

The only thing I'm actually bummed about is missing out this year.

But seriously, why didn't you guys sell tickets?

I had no idea Lezbor was performing. Did you get any video? 😉

Man, your obsession with grammar really gets to you, doesn't it? 😁

Who's Viko, the guy asking who wants to hear some reggae music?

Oh yeah, skipping out on the fried dough/flatbread would have been a mistake 🙂 :yum!:
I didn't film anything—it ended up looking so stupid, there wouldn't have been much worth recording anyway.
Basically, they ended up not selling tickets, which honestly worked out fine since we had such a blast. And look at this rain now; if the last two days had been like this, we'd all be singing a completely different tune. Who would've thought things would actually line up perfectly for once.

And the whole grammar thing (or rather, the lack thereof for most people) has been really haunting me lately—I'm on a mission! 😬 Anyway, teachers, what's your take on all this? 😉

Tricky *** (Too bad he was acting like a total wreck... but man, I got absolutely trashed by those idiots throwing bottles at the stage. Seriously, what kind of primitive losers do that? That Highlight set was just some pathetic loser shouting stuff like "get off the stage, you little prick" so we could see his underwear)

Garcia * (Let's do some salsa, let's do some ska, WTF? Why the hell would you play that garbage for two whole hours?)

Hahahaha!!!!
And thank God that idiot yelling was standing a bit behind me, because I had the pleasure of listening to him for the entire concert.

Jose White23 said:And what's wrong with Ace of Spades? Okay, maybe they shouldn't have played it twice.

Personally, I think it was stupid that he played that one song twice. It felt dumb, and honestly, why that song at all? The guy has seven albums with pretty solid material, and thank God he didn't sing any of them yesterday. So when I actually sit back and think about it, the guy was a mess. And with those movements of his, you'd think he was in the middle of developing Huntington's disease. It was a little much for me.

I don't get why he even did that when the guy has seven albums full of killer tracks that he luckily skipped over last night. Looking back, the setlist was kind of a mess. And those stage movements? It almost looked like he was dealing with early-onset Huntington’s or something—it felt a bit much for me.

Playing Ace of Spades is always a win. You could have 300 albums and 800 songs, but Ace of Spades is still gonna beat everything else you've ever written.🙂

I’ll just say this much—he’s a damn good friend, a true believer in our shared ideals, a man of genuine intellect, and exactly what the future of this nation needs—it really should have been that way.
He knows how to keep his mouth shut when it comes to sensitive matters and classified information. 😉

If I'm wrong about any of that, I'll personally play my heart out for you all at the next Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. 🤷

John Young89 said:LMAO, seriously though, I am absolutely losing it right now!!!!
Thank God that idiot was stuck a few rows behind me, because I actually had the privilege of listening to the entire set without his mouth constantly getting in my ear.

Must be nice. ☕
I pulled back right around the halfway point.

John Young89 said:I mean, honestly, it’s just straight-up moronic that he played that same track twice. Like, what was the point? It’s beyond stupid. This guy has seven albums packed with actual solid material, and thank God he didn't touch any of them last night. So, if I actually take a second to wrap my head around it, the whole set was a total train wreck. And don't even get me started on those twitchy movements he was making—it looked like he was in the middle of a Huntington's flare-up or something. It was honestly a bit much to watch.

Honestly, I don't get it either.
Man, he’s sitting there with a massive pile of stuff just waiting to be played, and instead, he just shreds through Ace of Spades twice and calls it a day. What a joke. 🤷
Man, what an absolute blowout. Total carnage.

Huntington's finally stepped up their game. 👍
The only thing even worth debating here is eye movement. 😍

Is it just me, or did she seem totally obsessed with him? Like, at that last concert, she was all over him—one girl grabbing the mic, another leaning over the synth, and one absolutely tearing up the drums 🤣 man, it was such a blast.

In my estimation, Moby was the highlight, though the set felt far too brief for my liking. As for Garcia, his performance was quite solid, and I fail to see why there is such widespread criticism directed toward him. Cyril was also impressive at the end. I haven't listened to the others.

Would anyone mind helping me out by listing Moby's setlist?
He played a few tracks that I absolutely loved, but I just can't seem to wrap my head around the titles.
Thanks 🙂

And honestly, I thought Garcia was pretty solid too—I'm really not sure why everyone is being so hard on them. Even Cyril was actually quite good by the end. As for the rest of the lineup, I haven't really listened to much of their stuff.

I felt the exact same way about Garcia; they were such a breath of fresh air! I truly don't get why everyone is tearing them apart like this.

Ace of Spades' performance wasn't half bad at all—honestly, it’s because of guys like Tricky that he's such a legend. And it isn't just because a woman was singing it, either! 😁

The Men in Editors turned out to be totally fine (maybe a solid 3.5/5?), though once they started, I had this nagging feeling it was going to be a total disaster since the vocals sounded so flat (words spilled from my drunken mouth 😳 ) and they basically just smeared through their new track 🤮—and then probably the rest of them too... yeah, obviously the rest of them 🙄—completely forgetting about the guitars, and people love them specifically for those guitars! 🤷
And hey, @restlessranger30, the crowd actually wasn't crap at all; they really pulled the band along right at the start, and since a good chunk of people knew the choruses, it helped things along 😁. Personally, I had a blast 👍

Art Brut was kind of a bore; I only caught the last few songs (I mean, shouldn't that sound more punk??)
Sergent Garcia drove me absolutely crazy with all that "revolutionary peace and unity" talk—you know, "mister on percussion, it's from France, it's from Cuba, this señor is from Brittany, we are totally international and we play salsa, ska, reggae, whatever you want" nonsense 👎

As for God Dethroned, I don't know... it just wasn't my thing, it felt pretty terrible to me, and I'm not even going to comment on the Smokers.
The weather was beautiful, so I spent some time just chilling on the grass, soaking up the air and the view near Central Park 😁

Overall, I'm super happy with everything I heard and saw—two really great nights out. Oh, and on the second day, I took the shuttle to the festival, which was a smart move on their part 👍. Generally speaking, the organization was pretty solid, except for the scheduling on the second day (I mean, if you have an extra hour to work with, spread the acts out so they don't overlap, right?)
edit: Oh, and I forgot the biggest oversight—the sound system at the Nokia stage was pretty lousy, which was most noticeable during Tricky's set

Oh yeah, @Jesse Sanchez60, how many people were there actually? The morning crowd looked like maybe 20,000, and the evening crowd felt like 15,000, but it's tough to say for sure when we were all scattered around
