It feels less like an emotional outburst and more like a sudden, piercing moment of clarity. 😉

The highlights:

yyy ***** (I’ve got them on repeat right now, so maybe my rating is biased, but man, what a set. Total Sju vibes mixed with that classic drugstore energy)
art brut ***** (Since Mark Smith is clearly circling the drain at this point, these guys could actually be a legit successor in a few years)
ff ****1/2 (Tight, solid performance. They aren't exactly my personal favorites, but they absolutely crushed their set)
rokia traore **** (Not really my scene, honestly, but it was a killer performance. A seriously pleasant surprise)

The mid-tier disappointments:

kraftwerk *** (The classics still rule, I guess)
tricky *** (Total bummer because he looked absolutely wasted... but honestly, I just got screwed by the idiots throwing bottles at the stage. Screw those losers, Jose White23. The absolute low point of the whole thing was some pathetic loser screaming, "Get out of here, boy, let us see your junk" at the performer)
moby *** (A little too much techno-lite for my taste)

The total disasters:

editors * (Pretentious garbage)
nešto garcia * (What, we're doing salsa and ska now? WTF? Why the hell would you play that trash for two straight hours?)

Didn't catch anything else.
Overall, the festival organization was surprisingly decent... aside from that mess during the Tricky to Moby transition, I had zero complaints about the timing.

The Editors were fantastic, though it’s a shame they took the stage so early in the set... Sergeant was a letdown, but then again, that’s Moby for you. Moby completely elevated the whole festival; he managed to pull everyone out of that absolute slump we were stuck in between the Editors and his set. The undisputed king of the festival.

Garcia sounds a bit like Cubism playing on a terrace at an Atlantic Ocean hotel during some local mayor's inauguration😬

but they're even worse nerds....

Art Brut was a blast... watching the singer jump into the crowd, the security guards trying to hold the line, then one of them taking a tumble 😍 What was that comment about the Killers?
Took a little stroll through Central Park afterward while listening to "Lift Me Up" 👍
Recovering today 🙂

So, Garcia really crushed it. I can't quite remember though, what was Adrian Sherwood like again? 😬

My Review 😁

Lily was boring, though she’s cute and easy on the eyes—but honestly, pass.
Since my boyfriend is obsessed with Kraftwerk, I tagged along for a bit, but my neck was practically locked up from just swaying; that's really all you can do with that kind of music.
XYZ—not totally happy with them. They completely botched Black Tongue, but Skeletons 😍 was absolutely wonderful.
Franz Ferdinand put on an EXCELLENT set. 🙏 Out of everyone I saw, they were the only ones who actually acted like they gave a damn. I don't even listen to them that much, and the way they dragged out one song was a little annoying, but they were genuinely likable performers.

And then there was yesterday...

Art Brut—their songs were boring as hell, though they themselves were great. 😬
Huge props to the singer for the banter and the way he engaged in some Melange with the crowd.
Nerd - Kroejjjšaaaa was a pleasant surprise. I don't listen to them at all, but they really put in the work yesterday, aside from that pathetic moment where they kept dragging those random girls onto the stage 😬 but hey, I guess we can chalk that up to their musical style...
Moby was okay, though I can't tell if it's just me or if his set felt a bit rushed and half-assed.

Now, for Editors. I knew you guys would lose your minds over this. 😍
Their performance actually caught me off guard; the singer was working so hard, like a mix between Chris Martin and Ian Curtis. Since I adore them normally, I had a blast. The atmosphere was total crap because nobody seemed to know a single song, and the setlist was terrible (four brand new tracks instead of throwing in "Blood" or "All Sparks"), but personally, I loved it.
If I didn't already love them, I probably would have hated it too. 😬

Also, the festival organization was solid.

The performance actually caught me off guard—the singer was working really hard, kind of a blend of Chris Martin and Ian Curtis vibes—but I love them normally, so I had a blast. The crowd was pretty meh, nobody seemed to know any of the songs, and the setlist was terrible (four brand new tracks instead of playing stuff like Blood or All Sparks), but I still had a great time.
If I didn't already love them, I probably wouldn't have liked it either. 😬

And yeah, the festival organization was solid.

Oh, don't be like that! I knew everything—I absolutely love them😍 😍... but regarding the setlist—yeah, I agree it could've been better🤷... though if we're being totally honest, they disappointed me a little too. I mean, I've been listening to them forever and I really love them, so I was dying to see them live, but they felt a bit forced—to me, they looked completely uninterested, almost like they were just playing through the motions🤷 ...

I’m curious—what exactly makes you all think the organization was actually good? Is it because the stages completely ignored their scheduled set times? (Which, by the way, is the reason I’m currently wandering around my office like a literal ghost due to a total lack of sleep)
Or maybe it’s because you finally got to lounge around once night fell? (Instead of catching some rays during the day, I’d much rather be relaxing in the sun—not trying to chill at night when everyone is jumping around in front of the bands, plus, it's honestly too cold to lie out there anyway)
Or perhaps it’s because there was absolutely zero actual content provided? (Not that it matters, I suppose, but a little something would have been nice for a quick, pleasant distraction)
Or is it just because getting access to alcohol was relatively easy 🙂

I’m not saying it was a disaster; I’m just saying it wasn't exactly great.

I had a genuinely wonderful time; I actually preferred the smaller scale of this festival. I’ve always had a bit of a distaste for those massive, sprawling events where you spend half your life just trekking back and forth across a venue like Austin City Limits or that absolute behemoth, Coachella.
The standout for me was definitely Kraftwerk—it was my first time seeing them live, and man, they were incredible. If I had to pick the most tragic moment of the whole experience, though, it would have to be when they asked "who wants some reggae," only to follow it up twelve years later with "who wants more?" I remember sprinting toward the stage, shouting "NOOOOOOO" at the top of my lungs, but I suppose I was just shouting into the void since nobody heard me.
I managed to snag a poncho, luckily enough, as it didn't end up raining.

It definitely could have been better. 🤷 To be perfectly honest, I have to say I was a little disappointed. Look, I’ve been listening to them for ages and I genuinely love their music—I was honestly counting down the days until their set—but they just felt so forced tonight. To me, it seemed like they were completely checked out, almost like they were just going through the motions rather than actually performing. 🤷 ...

I have to say, I’m just as disappointed as everyone else here. I completely agree that they came across as totally checked out. Look, I get it—this isn't exactly the kind of band that’s going to jump around and scream, "Put your hands in the air!" at the crowd. But man, they really overdid it with those choreographed movements. Instead of actually engaging the audience or building some kind of tension, it just felt forced and superficial. They missed a huge opportunity to actually intrigue the crowd.

🙂 It seems I’m certainly not the only one on this forum with a massive soft spot for the Editors, haha!

I have to say, it was honestly pretty soul-crushing. The people I was hanging out with didn't even know what Racing Rats or Munich were... it was just such an awkward, isolating experience.

The Day After.... [listening to Michael Jackson on the radio ☕ ]

I'm honestly gutted I missed the Art Brut set... starting at 5 PM is just asking for trouble, let's be real... 😬

As for the Editors 😍 😍, I know I’m biased, but even I couldn't ignore how the lead singer seems to be stuck in this loop of trying to mimic both Chris Martin and Ian Curtis—something restlessranger30 already pointed out. It's a bit much... seriously... 😍

Garcia 🥳 was fine, I guess—tolerable, but certainly not enough to pull me away from anything else...

Moby 🙏 delivered an absolute powerhouse of a performance... that woman absolutely kicks ass...

Nerd - 🙄 Kroejjjšaaaa....hey, Kroejšaaa! God, man... 🙄

Cyril 🙏 was just incredible!

So, what's the actual vibe here—which performers are actually hitting the stage at the end of the day?
