I honestly don't get why everyone is so hyped about seeing bands that have already toured here—I mean, don't get me wrong, I’d jump at the chance to see Fall again, but still...

Whether it's Arcade Fire, Belle and Sebastian, or Sufjan Stevens, they're mostly just those huge indie names that I haven't actually caught live yet! 🙂

Personally, I'd much rather catch Portishead in a proper arena—maybe somewhere like Madison Square Garden? 😬—instead of some random outdoor festival setting...

You're being a bit optimistic there... I highly doubt about B&S.

Amy Macdonald could work too; she's dropping a new album in March.

it's basically just Arcade Fire, Belle and Sebastian, or Sufjan Stevens... you know, those massive indie names I haven't even caught live yet. 🙂

I'd way rather see Portishead in a decent arena—maybe Madison Square Garden? 😬—instead of some random outdoor field...

Exactly!

But honestly, chances for Sufjan are super slim, and I feel like if B&S even decide to hit the festival circuit this summer, they're gonna be pricey and pretty selective about where they go. Arcade Fire seems like the most likely bet, I guess.

Still, all three would be absolute 🙏 legends. And man, imagine Okkervil River on that tiny little stage where Tricky and Yeah Yeah Yeahs played, maybe around midnight when the heat finally dies down a bit.

Yep 😁 I recall hearing some rumor about how they—alongside Avril Lavigne, mus, Linkin Park, and Jet—were supposed to headline some imaginary festival in Central Park back in 2004 😁... and if memory serves, PJ Harvey was on that list too 😁

This last one isn't coming to America, no way 🙂 😁

Any chance we could get some In Mourning, Agalloch, and Gwynbleidd on the lineup? 🤷

Drop your wishlists here. I'm taking notes and passing them up the chain. 👍

It’d be killer if they brought back some heavy hitters for the metal stage headliners like last year... 😁

I think I’ll probably go with Placebo, Mayhem, and AC/DC. I guess that sounds alright to me, right? 🙂

Samuel Murphy6, just make sure you list Placebo and leave out that other stuff 👍

We’ll give it a shot, and if it actually works, then maybe we'll see where it leads. 👍

Alright then, Mayhem was great, and there's definitely some AC/DC nearby that might be worth checking out! Maybe even something like Rise Against, I guess. 🙂
I guess Eluveitie would be a total hit if they played on the metal stage, maybe.

@ Samuel Murphy6 - since everyone’s dropping names, here’s my take: Metallica (could see them twice, no complaints. 😛), Anthrax (they hit us last year, right? ☕), Slayer, Slipknot, Killswitch Engage, Korn, Disturbed, Dope... yeah, that kind of vibe, though those first few carry more weight. 😁 as for the rest, they might pull a decent crowd if we're lucky..

...I suppose I could be persuaded by Eric Clapton, Queens of the Stone Age, Muse, Pearl Jam, or even Jack White, regardless of how they present themselves...

Of course Metallica is in the game!
From what I’ve been hearing, even they realize they might as well kill two birds with one stone this year. But hey, I'll have more details for you guys soon enough.
