However, one has to admit how many people were also killed in the name of Christ.

Frank Moore4 said:Those individuals have absolutely nothing to do with Krist or Christianity; they are simply opportunists who exploited the faith for their own gain. There is a clear distinction between Christianity as a true religion and a source of salvation, and those who claim the label while having zero connection to its actual values. Unfortunately, it seems quite trendy in leftist circles today to lump everyone together into one big, messy category.
David Price5 said:See, that's exactly where the issue lies. If every single believer or atheist actually lived by their own moral code and religious principles, we wouldn't be seeing wars breaking out all the time.

I suspect there are plenty of people out there who think the second installment was—and always will be—absolute garbage, regardless of how much anyone else tries to defend it. But believe me when I say this: compared to the third one, the sequel is (again) a masterpiece. As for the third film? I honestly don’t have enough insults to do it justice... everything about it is just bad. We're talking about abysmal direction—look, Edward Neumeier might have written some decent scripts back in the day, but he should definitely stay far away from the director's chair. Then there’s the action, which is even worse. It feels like they just set up a tripod, hit record, and let the crew shoot at each other while occasionally changing the camera angle. To top it all off, you have laughable acting and bottom-tier CGI. The kicker? They actually had a bigger budget than the second movie—a whopping $20 million—and "better" actors, too. You had Casper van Dien returning alongside Jolene Blalock from Star Trek: Enterprise, but it was all for nothing. The plot is nonsensical, the acting is subpar, and the characters are just as bad—I mean, we’re stuck with a singing Marshal, a perpetually grumpy Sergeant, and a Lieutenant who can barely string an English sentence together. That religious fanatic from the ship—constantly preaching about faith and God—is someone I’d love to just shut down once and for all.The only redeeming quality here is a bit of skin—but since we aren't getting any actual Jolene Blalock, it’s hardly worth mentioning.
To put it bluntly—it was a total disaster!!!

The film is a brilliant piece of satire—honestly, I loved watching them take aim at religion. It’s easily one of the biggest enemies and mass killers on this planet since humanity first showed up.
Whenever Holly starts preaching about her religion on that planet, it gets pretty intense—but my favorite part was definitely when she realized Sky Marshall Anoke wasn't exactly praying to the same "God" she was. That conversation was gold:
Bull Brittles: Does he seriously believe a bug is God?
Lola Beck: He’s gone full believer. It's their specific brand of faith.
Holly Little: Bug religion?
Bull Brittles: That’s just wild.
Holly Little: That's blasphemy!
Bull Brittles: So, where do we go from here?
Holly Little: Perhaps it’s time to consider taking him out.
Lola Beck: Is it because he’s lost his mind? Or does he actually share your level of faith?
Holly Little: It's The wrong god !
One word—brilliant!
Then, when the Behemacoytl launch their attack and Holly and Lola start praying—with Holly shouting, "God, send us angels from Heaven!"—suddenly Rico drops down with his Marauders. Are we really calling weapons of mass destruction "angels" now? Haha!
Brilliant!
Following that, experts across the entire Federation reached the same conclusion:
Well—it’s a given that God exists.
b) he's our friend
He's an American citizen—he wants us to win.
I don't know about you all, but this strikes me as a perfect mirror of today’s global landscape—that whole "my God is better than yours and wants me to win" mentality. Honestly? Brilliant.
But honestly, the climax is the absolute peak of the movie. They kick things off with those news segments on the Federal Network, debating whether dropping a devastating Q-Bomba—something capable of wiping out an entire planet—is actually ethical, or if they should just let it rip on the insect planet OM-1.
Man: Why not? Those bugs wouldn't hesitate to pull the trigger themselves!
Woman: Sure, but aren't we supposed to be better than them?
And there’s your answer right there. The bomb is en route, while Dix and Lola watch from their spacecraft as it descends. Lola mentions how she found religion and a God down on the surface. Dix just gives her this bewildered look. After a beat of silence, he shrugs: Well, nobody's perfect. 🙏🙏🙏
Then comes the kiss, all while the planet gets absolutely obliterated in the background.
What word describes this? Oh, right! BRILLIANT! 🙏🙏🙏
