"Thermal Solution" just means the cooler, including the fan and the thermal paste.

I’ve been browsing some US shops lately and honestly, I can’t tell if I’m looking at a killer deal or just the standard market price. I remember back when 8GB was basically $267; now, you can grab a 2x8GB kit with whatever frequency and latency you want for that same amount of cash. Anyway, I spotted a 2x8GB 3000MHz CL16 kit for $133 after a 30% discount, which looked like a steal at first glance. Turns out, it's pretty much the same price you'd find locally without any discount at all. It feels like prices in our local stores are finally starting to catch up with the rest of the US.

I haven't heard back from TechRadar; maybe they're just swamped?

It's not a rush, it's just that—TechRadar is basically out of the picture 😬. Plus, they don't even have a US branch active right now, so I doubt anyone would be able to chat with you anyway. Unless you happen to speak Canadian

Anyway, you can pick up an R5 1600 from $266 locally or grab an R7 2700 directly from $426 at TechRadar. Those are much better deals; this current option is just stuck in limbo...

Also, keep an eye out tomorrow (Black Friday) or Monday (Cyber Monday)—there might still be some surprise discounts floating around.

I find myself wondering about these Star Trek themed drives; honestly, even the NSA couldn't afford such things:

Timothy Kim60 said:I don't think an RX 580 8GB has ever sold for less than $150 when buying new, so this looks like a fantastic deal for $333. Of course, the retailers will probably just settle things amongst themselves behind closed doors. Both units 😁

If anyone happens to stumble upon this chance, wouldn't it be wise to ask about the warranty? It might be a bit slim, similar to how those "bulk" GTX 1060 cards used to come with only a six-month guarantee)

Man, my mouth is watering just thinking about it—running DaVinci Resolve with two RX 580s would give you performance close to a GTX 1080Ti for $833 total... though I'd have to swap out my power supply too, and who knows if I'll end up tripping a circuit breaker 😁

Yeah, in 3 games 🤣

I’m not actually talking about gaming performance here. When it comes to video editing, the solo RX 580 really sits right in that sweet spot between a GTX 1060 and a 1070. Besides, isn't it true that DaVinci Resolve doesn't even support crossfire when you're trying to work with dual graphics cards?

Think of this as having a Seasonic Focus tucked right under the hood.

I'm actually planning to put the money I saved on the GPU toward a better power supply... though it’s a bit of a bummer that workstations designed for heavy video editing or color grading usually favor blower-style cards because they vent all that hot air straight out the back. If I were to stack two open-air cards like these right on top of each other, wouldn't the cooling requirements just become a nightmare, even for high-airflow cases? I think I might have to scrap that idea altogether...

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 DD BOOST UP ULTRA 8.0 GB OC

$826What’s the bottom line for us (including US sales tax and FedEx shipping)?

EDIT

By the way, check out this handy site—it's basically a search engine for all the different Amazon regions (except the Netherlands) https://www.hagglezon.com/en/s/

There’s a bit of a "special promotion" running over at Best Buy. Basically, if enough people jump on the items marked with the sale tag, the prices drop significantly. You can only grab one item under this deal, though. I was just checking the listings, and it looks like the Intel Core i5-9400F could potentially go for $217

New Intel Core i5-9400F CPU Review & Benchmarks vs. Original, Intel Core i7-8700, & 3600

It seems like a slightly weaker version of the Intel Core i7-8700, though they're pretty much identical.

Basically, you're getting the performance of an Intel Core i7-8700 at the price point of an Intel Core i5-9400F.😁

So, what's the actual deal here?

Basically, how can you even tell it's a second-gen Ryzen 5 when they're branding it like the first one?
And why even bother with all this nonsense?🤔

edit...oh wait, I just noticed the AE and AF in the model number 😬--my bad!
