They really went overboard with the amount of random creatures they threw into the movie; they could have definitely taken it easier.

The trailer looks incredibly cheap and bad, almost like some college kids shot a movie on a couple thousand dollars. Honestly, the CGI in the cutscenes on the PlayStation 2 looked better.

I'll still be watching it, obviously, but it looks way worse than any of Anderson's Resident Evil movies.

It’s alright, I guess. Some scenes feel ripped straight from the game. Reminds me of those zombie dogs. 🎉

I think we already saw those zombie Dobermans—back in the second game, if I recall correctly...
It doesn't look half bad, though I have to agree that there's way too much filler livestock here. In my opinion, they really should have just thrown in some zombies, some thugs, and maybe one solid boss fight.

So, I just finished playing through Resident Evil 3 on a PlayStation 1 emulator, and now I'm thinking about tackling the first two. I usually find myself revisiting these games every five or six years whenever the nostalgia hits and I start to forget the details. 😁

To be honest, I hadn't actually played either the first or second game since they first dropped over twenty years ago—not until I finally downloaded an emulator for my PC about ten years back.

Just finished watching. It was okay, I guess—pretty middle-of-the-road. Honestly, this movie is really only for people who love Capcom's video games.

It’s decent. If you live for the Resident Evil franchise, you'll dig it, but everyone else will probably think it's trash. Still way better than those later Resident Evil movies. I actually like that the RPD aren't playing superheroes; they just feel like regular cops with some training. The actress playing Claire didn't really work for me, though the casting for Wesker and Chris was spot on.

After that underwhelming trailer, this actually turned out to be quite solid and worth watching. It feels like a faithful adaptation of the Resident Evil games. Could they have used a bit more budget to truly bring Umbrella Street to life? Perhaps. I am glad they fixed that terrible CGI from the trailer for the final film. Only Chris felt hit or miss; the rest were just mediocre... overall, I give it a 7/10.
I am hoping for a sequel. Will Sony be discouraged by a relatively weak box office of only $30 million on a $25 million budget?

Honestly, this was actually pretty solid compared to all the trash I've been watching lately. It delivered exactly what I was looking for. Pure B-movie vibes.🍿

They pulled in a ton of footage from the original game, which is great, but if they’d just stuck to the actual chronological order, the whole series would have looked way better than what we ended up getting
Like, since characters like e.g. Alice don't even exist in the games, they could've easily swapped Mila out for Jill Valentine without anyone blinking an eye
To me, the lore is so massive that they really didn't need to scramble the timeline like they've done with the movies so far

Honestly, looking at the plot now—the whole franchise, really—it feels weirdly prophetic, like it’s hitting on stuff happening in the real world today. The execution is just the right amount of trashy, which is exactly what you want. Visually? It actually looks pretty solid. My main gripe is the pacing; it’s clunky and the flow is all over the place. I haven't actually sat through any of the previous movies because, frankly, the whole thing always seemed off to me (Milla Jovovich just wasn't my vibe), but I had this gut feeling this one might actually be alright.

The casting is decent enough, especially the two leads. They're sexy, and let's be real, you need that kind of energy for a movie like this.

The whole movie is basically just a glorified playable version of the game's cutscenes. Even the CGI has that weird, dated vibe.
The dialogue is just as clunky and awkward as it was in the game. Only difference is, they actually went out of their way to make everyone look like complete morons here. The worst part? Leon is a total moron in this thing. 😁

Save yourself the trouble and just play Resident Evil 2 instead.

Not bad at all—honestly, the best attempt at a film adaptation I’ve seen so far. Given my track record with Resident Evil movies, I wouldn't have expected much more than this anyway.

Some of the visuals are honestly pretty haunting—like that scene with the fuel tanker engulfed in flames, or that zombie dog. It’s intense.

I shut this thing off after just twenty minutes. It felt like someone took the first two games and tossed them straight into a meat grinder.

Personally, I thought the iPhone and that Snake game were peak gaming.
As far as this movie goes—well, honestly, the sooner I can forget it exists, the better.
