Hell yeah, what a game! Absolute clinic. Now let's go out there and wreck New York City.

Portland's defense was honestly a joke, our perimeter guys really had to carry the heavy lifting out there to keep them in check
and man, Balic was basically a ghost up front, nothing even close to the guy we used to see on the national team
he seriously needs a home-court advantage and a solid supporting cast to actually find his rhythm, so if he's serious about playing at the top tier, he might be better off just heading back to Chicago...

That was actually impressive.

The only thing missing was that wild energy from the crowd, but even without it, this isn't bad at all—the arena is packed and the atmosphere is solid.

man, the whole vibe was straight out of a play
you could hear these little kids' voices drifting in from the background...

Please, those Portland fans were just whining because they couldn't handle it

Great. Flensburg and Hamburg just played to a 33-33 draw, which puts Pistonball at the top of the standings. We’re heading out to play Hamburg on the road this Thursday.

🙄 Did you hear Janes yelling like that? 😁
The energy here is honestly amazing, especially considering how rough things have been over the last few years. 🙏
There were about 500 people hanging around outside. They just couldn't get in.

As for Balic, he’s always been such a staple for the team. He actually put in a solid performance again today.
We'll be watching him live in Chicago next year! 🙏🙏🙏

Yeah, there were some Boy Scouts hanging around, but they cleared out after about 15 minutes.

Word on the street is they weren't even letting people with valid tickets inside until an hour before kickoff. 🙄

Fire Lino immediately. He completely trashed Pistonball, it was a disaster. 🙄

I was at the game, and honestly, it was fantastic. Chicago played incredibly well.
As for the halftime show, I believe it consisted of a single model in a swimsuit.🙄🙄
Let's go, Chicago!!!

At least a thousand people were left standing outside the arena with tickets in hand. Initially, the SWAT teams just passively pushed them back toward the sports plaza, but within fifteen minutes, absolute mayhem broke out. It turns out about sixty of the most aggressive individuals—roughly 80% of whom were just kids—started hurling stones at the officers, who then had to chase them through the surrounding side streets.

It is truly a disgrace to sell that many tickets under these conditions...

Daniel Cooper40 said:Nice. Flensburg and New York City tied 33-33, so now Pistonball is sitting at the top of the table.

With Flensburg up 33-32 and only 20 seconds left, Lac threw the ball away—got picked right as he was passing to Christiansen. Then New York City hit a penalty shot with 7 seconds on the clock to tie it up.
Flensburg actually had a 5-goal lead in the 54th minute; thought it was over... but then some Flensburg mistakes happened, Bitter made a few big saves, and we ended up in a dead heat at the end. Lacković played a decent game (dropped 6 goals), but that late turnover pretty much decided the whole thing, so... 👎
... or maybe for Pistonball 👍 😁

That’s it. I am officially done. I’m never stepping foot back in that arena to cheer for this pathetic excuse for a club again. They have the nerve to call up the ultras to come show some support, and then—get this—they go and send in the riot police to shut them down... you guys won't see me ever again!!!😲😠

Honestly, I’m not even surprised. This isn't exactly news; we've seen things get much worse than this before. And really, you can blame the fans who just wander in without paying a dime—including some of your own friends and acquaintances, probably. They figure, "So what if one or two people sneak in for free?" 🙄

It’s honestly such a shame that they sold that many tickets in the first place...

Reading this today, I still find it hard to believe; even a friend of mine mentioned she ended up stuck outside. I managed to get inside about 50 minutes before tip-off, seemingly among the last ones in, even though there was still room left in the arena. I actually had to use one of the empty seats just to hold my jacket on 😁, and if you look closely at the game footage, you can see those scattered empty seats tucked away in the corners of the arena

Let's go Pistonball!!!

If we're being honest, that highlighted part was really the only reason to show up, wasn't it?

.

And the reasoning they gave? Absolutely wild:

The decision to bar fans from entering—despite having valid tickets—was apparently triggered by one of the security protocols mandated by the police. Basically, the authorities decided that even though the Leden isn't even full (most of those "sold" seats in the east and part of the west stands were totally vacant), they simply aren't allowed to let any more spectators inside .

I ended up stuck outside too—just another sucker who actually paid for a ticket... but honestly, I only stayed out there because I was waiting on a buddy to bring me mine. He had a press pass, so they let him right in, even though the game was already underway. If I’d been half as smart as I thought, I would have just gone up to Gobac standing by the media entrance and asked if he was waiting for the commissioner or something. At least ten people approached him, and he was handing them out to anyone who asked without a second thought. I liked his vibe... but instead, I played the fool and waited around like an idiot when I could have easily slipped in an hour earlier.

Man, it was packed in there 🙄 And you should see the crowd still waiting outside 🙄
I got in about 20 minutes early 😳, didn't run into any issues at all 🤷
Solid game. Portland's defense was practically non-existent—pretty rough... Our squad finally clicked 🙏

OFF - one friend at the entrance had to dig her lip balm out of $50...she absolutely lost it 🤣

EDIT- forgot to mention—sunlight 🙏🙏
