Adam Moore said:slypilot13, the sponsors aren't to blame for the terrible organization (they just provided the cash to book the bands); it's actually the organizer, that guy from the local arts center.
I guess those mainstream crowds were having a bit of a culture shock... 🤣 we’re slowly heading home, hearing the brass bands, while the "indie crowd" is right next to us—it's like, what even is this? 🤣
Fair enough, Adam. And honestly, I have my own issues with Trip Corp. They might be some of the worst people on the planet. I probably shouldn't go too far off-topic, though.
Wait, so Verizon was footing the bill for the bands? And that guy organized it?
I'm not sure who's worse, Verizon for handing things over to someone like him, or the guy himself.
My money is on Verizon. I mean, why get involved if you don't know what you're doing?
Just a few letdowns from day one, since I didn't see the second day, and I'm not really sure what I would have even watched anyway...
That tent with the local radio station logo... I expected nothing from them and I still got disappointed. Just some crappy 80s bass music and a bunch of pretentious types acting like they're in an early Stone Roses video. Honestly, felt like we were stuck in some remote village.
The tent with the house music and those IKEA armchairs. Pretty gross.
Maybe the only highlight was Sonic Youth. Probably the last mosh pit I'll ever join. 🤣
