You really want to know if it was 3,000 or 10,000 people who got screwed by those wristbands? 😬

I'm guessing it was right in the middle, like 6,500. 😳

From their official website:

KVOT:
To all our Coachella VIP attendees—we sincerely apologize for the absolute chaos at the food and drink voucher booths last night. We know the lines were unacceptable. To make sure today doesn't turn into another disaster, we’ve scaled up operations significantly: we’ve jumped from 11 service points to 18, expanded the actual footprint of the food stalls, and ensured the beverage stand near the Night stage stays open all day long.
NOT JUST KVOT:

🙂

Oh, please—don't go eating those cheap burgers over there, I'm begging you... I ended up with a nasty bout of salmonella myself😳

Not really a loss though, since SY never even showed up to the event.

I am genuinely curious as to what his actual role in the band even is... 😳

Look said:I honestly don't even know how to put into words how much this festival—and this whole ridiculous wristband situation—has let me down. Look, I’m a person living with a severe disability; I actually don't have any use for my hands. When I was trying to get through the entrance, there was literally nowhere for me to put the wristband. Instead of helping, they just stopped me and turned me right back around—despite me protesting and my caregiver trying to explain the situation. I mean, I deal with enough hurdles in my daily life as it is, but I seriously didn't see this kind of discrimination coming. You’re telling me a guy can't get into the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival just because he doesn't have hands to wear a damn wristband?! 👎👎👎

And now I bet you're all sitting there wondering—how on earth am I typing on a computer without hands?! 👎

Why does the moderator keep deleting this stuff?😠 😕 🙂

I was honestly just joking about how someone without arms would even manage to get into a festival, but seeing people actually pull it off makes me realize anything is possible. 😢 This whole thing is just wild... 😠

He's basically the glue that holds their vibe together. He used to hand out X's and dance around, but now apparently he just sticks to dancing. 😬Without him, the Happy Mondays just wouldn't be the same...

So, what's the deal with these bracelets that have been removed and put back on? Is it actually possible to get into the venue wearing them? I’ve got someone on here trying to sell me one. 😍

But what if they don't let me in? Then I'm stuck walking home soaked after being at Central Park. 🙂

And quit telling me to just smoke with someone at the entrance.

The coolest band on the planet, hands down. Sonic Youth... though I have to say, those VIP areas decked out in Grateful Dead corporate branding really rubbed me the wrong way. It made the first day of the festival feel totally sterile...
Then there were those annoying little booths where you couldn't escape the noise, plus those senseless people smoking Marlboros everywhere. And don't even get me started on that tent we used to call the "glam tent" because it was just full of preppy types standing around instead of actually dancing. It was such a letdown.

Happy Mondays felt like a caricature of their former selves. They used to be such a massive band, but now they’re about as exciting as watching a group of retirees reunite.

But then... Sonic Youth. Powerful, intense, "flawless" (if you ask Gall), and above all, just cool. Seeing Kim in that Dorothy dress, and then Thurston cutting through those corporate VIP balloons—which felt pretty symbolic, I guess... 🙂—the whole vibe they created... and that moment when Kim started dancing at the end... "shake, shake"...

Melissa Torres4, I’m grabbing my raincoat and if they don't let me in, we're both getting soaked on the way home 🙂
